Cons:When I arrived for pickup there was a sign on the door saying the office was closed and to drive to the airport an hour away for my vehicle. The confirmation email never said anything. No call from the office to say anything had changed. After a two hour drive and then 2 hours on the phone to talk to a human being to try to get some sort of refund I was unsuccessful because I had "prepaid" the reservation. Any other company would have been able to credit my account with some sort of refund to accommodate the inconvenience. Nope, not Hertz. A gift voucher was all that they would offer. Not sure I will use Hertz again even with a $50 voucher. Very poor communicationReviewed Oct 27 2020

Cons:A cleaner car would have been appreciated , considering how Hertz is promising "Every vehicle will be sealed and certified ‘Hertz Gold Standard Clean’ after undergoing a 15-point cleaning and sanitization process that follows U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines." Interior was dirty, the back of car covered in bird droppings. Very obvious this vehicle was never touched after last rental.Reviewed Sep 29 2020

Pros:Both Ellen and George were super friendly and helpful on the phone. Ellen was totally awesome when i arrived (finally) to get the car. Very quick and easy pick up. Very accommadating. The car was imaculate.Cons:nothing.... drop off easy - asking for the return milage was a little "frustrating" as i had NO idea... but because Ellen was so awesome - i just noted i did not know and feel very confident that is okReviewed Sep 14 2020

Pros:The staff was very helpful. Z in Queens was particularly nice and made our drop off quick easy and something we will do again.Cons:We wanted to drive from our upstate home to JFK and it was an economic and convenient option. Pros:THE WAY HERTZ HANDLED THE TIRE PROBLEM WE HAD. THE PEOPLE AT THE VESTAL NY FACILITY WERE FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL.Cons:THE DROPING OFF THE CAR AT THE SYRACUSE AIRPORT WAS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. AND I STILL DON'T KNOW IF EVERYTHING IS OKReviewed Aug 26 2018

Tendent at pickup was very rudePros:The car was great and the drop off was seemless and the guy was nice and helpful!Cons:The tendent when J went to pick up my car was extremely rude and I felt like she did not want to be there. Pros:Web site did not show a rental counter at the Binghamton airport. This got me to make a reservation at Vestal. When I called Vestal, they told me that there was a counter for Herta at the BGM airport. The agent changed the reservation from Vestal to the airport locationCons:When I got to the counter at the airport they had not record of the pickup location having been changed. They were finally able to change the location pickup. The website for Hertz did not show a location at the airport and showed a shuttle service for Vestal. When I talked to an Agent at Vestal they told me that they did not have a shuttle service. Not very pleased with the lack of good info both on the website and at the locationsReviewed Jul 5 2018

Hertz...Pros:I liked the rate that I received. I am trying to book again the first week of June and it is twice what I paid last week!Cons:Didn't like having to ask to clean the car when I picked it up.
