We were given a car that had a bad wheelbearing and they refused to replace the car. They didn't honor the second driver added and gave her a bad time even though she had all the paperwork on her. It took several calls and days for us to get a new car. This made the trip longer, ran into weather and had to pay them more money to extend the rental. It is a huge safety issue and most of the people we spoke to at Hertz was very lackadaisical. Would any of them let a loved one drive a car like that? The sound it made couldn't even be drowned out with the radio. There were a couple employees that I got that went above what they could. Roadside couldn't even get a car replaced for us because management wouldn't approve it. It was just absurd. I will never use Hertz or one of their other companies again knowing that they do not care about their clients safety. Ordering through Kayak was easy and great.Reviewed Dec 28 2021

Pros:The car was wonderful!!! A GMZ Terrain. I just loved the car and got a really great rate!!!!Cons:Maybe better markings out of Sacramento airport as to where to return rental cars. A little confusing!!!Reviewed Mar 25 2021

Pros:Drop off was easy.Cons:Staff wasn’t very friendly, complained that we weren’t sharp on time and she said she hoped she still had a car left for us although we had already paid. Proceeded to act surprise that there was a car left and didn’t even say which model or if same size that we had paid for. No information regarding vehicle and then said they would need to clean it now. Was a very quick clean. Probably not up to current standards. Also if cars are just standing around, wouldn’t they have had time to clean them?Reviewed Mar 4 2021

Cons:Disappointed with payment, wanted to use my Business debit card but was forced to use credit card. I had to use my personal credit card when I wanted to use for business. When I asked if I could switch payment on the return they said no because I paid in full.Reviewed Feb 26 2019

You stepped up to the plate after a disaster beginning and middle!Pros:Your on call support team, talked me through solving the lame tire problem. That your airport staff took the time to mark the car as needing attention. That your airport staff took the time to get me a car that was in operating condition and if I am not mistaken, kicked me up a notch in the quality of car loaned. That your phone people once they became knowledgeable about the whole situation, made it possible to return the car to the airport directly, saving me an inconvenience of getting a family member to drive us out and made the drop off fee go away making me feel appreciated and a valued customer. Thanks for making it right.Cons:That you closed early on Thanksgiving Friday so I couldn't get my car that day. That you closed at noon on Saturday so I had to drive to the airport to get help. That the car that I picked up had a lame passenger side front tire situation. That you started to tell me there was nothing you could do to make the situation right. Third time renting from this locationPros:I got in and out quickly when picking up and returning the car. Cars have been clean and well maintained.Cons:The last two times when I rented the car the tank was not on full. So for instance this time there was 3/8 tank of gas. When I returned it I had over a half tank, so I spent a little more on gas than I needed.Reviewed Aug 16 2017
