Helsinki hotels in Katajanokka

Pros: Good points of the apartments 1) the location not far from the center and a Viking ferry terminal (btw, it is very convenient to not rush with luggage over the city to another ferry) , but still it is a quiet area with a decent supermarket nearby 2) spacious rooms

Cons: The room we got at arrival was on the ground floor, with a bit shabby walls, with windows looking out to an internal yard. That was either a heating main of the building or an air shaft or something like embedded into a wall that issued continuous hum .. not much perceptible in the daytime but in the night it merely was impossible to sleep... Next day we asked for a another room, it was also on the ground floor with windows staring right on people walking on a street (so curtains had to be always on) but that technical building's hum was much lower...

Pros: We found this place too big for 2 people and we love it. We initially booked this place because we want to stay near Allas Sea Pool which we decided not to visit anymore during our stay, instead we explore the city for we had only 1 night at Helsinki... They have old style elevator. Nice to experience though:) There’s a nearby K-mart. Bus

Cons: The apartment is old but it is clean. The bathroom feels creepy and I can’t explain why.

Pros: If you prefer somewhere a bit of out of the city centre, this is a good place. It’s situated in a residential area, but you can still walk to CBD. Uspenskin cathedral is very close. 10 min walk to Old Market. I went for Tallink, but if you plans to take a VikingLine ferry, its terminal is 5 min away on foot. I stayed here only for a night, but I would feel as if i was a local if I had stayed longer.

Cons: Not that many supermarkets or restaurants around here. But you can still walk to seaside or CBD to find a place to eat for more options.

Pros: Hotel is in nice quiet location 20 minutes walk from train station. 5 minutes walk to ferry that will get you to Suomenlinna. Apartment is equipped and furnished with all you need.

Cons: Drain in the shower was bit smelly, but we stayed only for short time so it didn't bother us very much. But overall the room was clean.

Pros: Cosy place. All plates and pans to cook. A lot of light. Big windows.

Pros: Great location,a spacious apartment with sauna. We are a family with small children and really liked that we had enough room for us. Everything was tidy and neat. We have used this hotel before and will come back again!

Cons: The oven was tricky to use. The lift doesn’t go all the way up so we had to carry our stroller and luggage a half floor. Not bad unless you are travelling as a single parent.

Pros: Mutter is that I've booked a number for my wife, who was need to travel from UK to Estonia.... But in this situation with pandemic, they didn't let her out of the airport till morning and she was call to hotel about that.... they refound me next day!

Pros: I like the private sauna and the cleanness of the apartment

Cons: The kitchen was cleaned unwell. This is unacceptable!

Pros: The size of the apartment. The comfort of the bed. The ease of picking up the keys. The 'quietness' of the apartment.

Cons: I felt the equipment in the kitchen was not up to standard - there were very few utensils and what was there was fairly shabby. Also, one of the lights wasn't working.Having said that, there was nothing that would stop me from returning, at the price I paid.

Pros: Size of the room.

Cons: I stayed for 5 nights, but I had to pay for clean towels. No cleaning during the stay.

Pros: We were positively surprised about the hotel; the apartment was big, clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Just perfect for a family with three small children. The balcony was also very handy for us.

Cons: Beds were very uncomfortable, blankets couldn't even cover two people, and if you are over 5'8" (173cm), you won't even fit in the bed.

Pros: Very close to the Viking Line ferry to Tallinn. A five to ten minute walk from the hotel to the terminal. A another short walk the other direction to the harbor excursion boats and market. Very close to the Upsinki cathedral.

Cons: No bath only shower in the room

Pros: - Good location. - Friendly stuff. - Good breakfast.

Cons: - Room could have had two armchairs instead of one armchair and a chair. - A bit cold in the room.

Pros: Room was spacious and private sauna was nice.

Cons: I really wish the parking would be free seeing the price of the rooms. There are no toothbrushes for quests which is an issue. Breakfast was a triangle sandwich from K-market instead of luxury buffet, this would've been nice to know in advance.

Pros: nearby city center, tram is behind hotel. breakfast is good. sauna entry is free for guests.

Cons: No towels in the bathroom, hairs in the bed.

Pros: Nice ambient, clean and spacious rooms. Even if it is not really in the center, in 10 minutes walk you can reach the centre. Within 5 mintes walk you have any kind of public transport.

Cons: Very good breakfast and also decent gym (open 24h). Unfortunately I was not able to try the sauna but colleagues stated that it was good.

Pros: The hotel is nicely situated in marina area, 15-20 minutes walking distance from Kamppi. Breakfast was very nice even though not exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised by the earlier check in as well.

Cons: I liked the interior, however, the gym and my room were both a little worn out. There are no bathrobes provided which I found highly inconvenient for the sauna experience.

Pros: Very pleasant hotel. Staff excellent and very helpful. Would recommend again to visitors to Helsinki. Short walk or tram 4 to city centre.

Pros: Comfortable and clean, staff was nice and helpful. Great breakfast. Location is nice, close to center, some nice cafes and restaurants around, and very close to Katajanokan terminal and ferries to Tallinn.

Cons: The restaurant in the hotel is nothing special, better options outside.

Cons: Air conditioner was not available. Wireless internet connection in my room was rather poor.

Pros: location in Katajanokka very close to Kauppatori. Take one of the hotel's bikes and go around Katajanokka. The buikding is a warehouse designed by one of the great esrly 20th century Finnish architects, and the architects who transformed it did wonderful job.

Cons: Bathrooms cd have better fittings, given the category. Hotel was full therefore the breakfast room was overcrowded, and the staff, though very good, were too few.
