The breakfast was stunning - not the usual buffet style (bread cheese ham etc...) but a proper meal with a variety of exquisitely prepared fruits, breads, yoghurts etc... healthy, wholesome and delicious! The couple who own the hotel/B&B were very friendly and genuinely interested in helping - It really is a hidden gem.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place with a really cozy feel, lovely breakfast. Johann the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us helpful advice on what to see and do in the area. He also went above and beyond when we had a motoring mishap on our last day. Many thanks, johann for sorting things out for us.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Johan is extremely friendly and welcoming, and cooks THE MOST AMAZING breakfasts I've ever had at a bnb, my god. He was understanding and helpful and gave us lots of good advice for what to do in town, and since we were the first guests to arrive he gave us our pick of the whole house. The room itself was perfect---compact and cozy, but with a huge tub that I really needed after a long day of walking. The bed was also really big and comfortable! My husband accidentally gave Johan an extra 50 euros when we paid at the end of our stay, and Johan was really great about transferring us the money back after we'd already left. What an honest guy! I wish we had more reasons to come to Hasselt!
Cons: Leaving and having to cook breakfast for myself again.

Pros: Beautiful interior, charming hosts, excellent breakfast, top location, individual and original
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a truly remarkable place. The hosts are welcoming and friendly, every detail in this cosy old house is beautifully designed and crafted, and the breakfast—as mentioned by other reviewers before me—is just perfect; so it has been a pleasure staying there. I do not tend to write enthusiastic reviews, but I find this hotel exceptional.
Cons: -
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a treat. My room was large, tastefully decorated and more than comfortable. We took extra time for breakfast, as there are so many delicious items to taste from. Parking was close to the property and easy to find for me. I was here for work, but would love to come back with my partner for a weekend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, Nice room, good beds, great breakfast, very central.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place was lovely: attention to all details and everything of the highest quality. For instance, the breakfast meats, fruits and cheeses were all top quality; the towels were sweet-smelling and fresh; the toiletries pleasant. The rooms are sparsely decorated in a chic but simple way that I found delightful. A gentle background of classical music plays all day in the living area and at breakfast. A particular pleasure was entering the breakfast area as the morning light hit the french doors, all the place settings perfectly laid out on a range of small tables in a tableau straight from an Old Master. Moments later, our hostess appears offering a range of cooked options and drinks and bringing a glass of orange juice, which was genuinely freshly squeezed.
Cons: There was little to dislike. The whole place is gently scented with lemongrass so I guess if you don't like that, you are not going to be as happy as I was.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Such a friendly reception - was like being with old friends!
Cons: Nothing!

Overview Reviews
Located in Hasselt, Charmehotel Villa Saporis is within a 15-minute drive of Plopsa Indoor Theme Park and Circuit Zolder. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast - all freshly cooked - eggs, bacon, lovely croissants, yogurts etc.
Cons: Our room, Vanilla was warm, without air-conditioning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel because it was advertised as having electric vehicle charging facilities. Which it did but was extremely surprised that we were charged €10 for using the charging facilities. This is the first time I was ever charged in a hotel for using their charging facilities. At the very most it might have cost the hotel €1 for the amount of electricity I would have used. We also paid extra for our room with air conditioning. I would only come back to this hotel if no other property was available.
Cons: It was clean and the activist was very good.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding, comfort was pristine! Facilities were great. Owner & staff also very friendly and extremely helpful. Would choose to stay here any day over your regular run of the mill Hotel!
Cons: The location is a little away from the city centre (~10-15 mins walk), although it is fairly close (~5 mins) to the station which can be an advantage when travelling (noise is not an issue).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the villa. The building itself is a delight to those who appreciate "old" construction while amenities necessary for modern life, e.g. bathrooms, wifi, etc. are modern and functional. Our bedroom was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of light and space, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic with many delicious home-made choices, e.g. jams, cakes, muesli, fresh-squeezed orange juice, etc. as well as offerings one expects at well-provisioned hotels, fresh bread and rolls, sliced meat and cheese, and so on. We enjoyed comfortable evenings in the parlour with a fire. The staff was extremely welcoming and professional from email communications prior to our arrival to welcoming us to the villa to ensuring our every want at breakfast and recommending local attractions and services.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very nice and kind and the breakfast was great. Delicious and very generous. The Villa itself is beautiful and very quiet. We highly recommend this place.
Cons: The bath had cracks in it and some rust. Hopefully this will be fixed by our next visit.

Pros: Super friendly people in the place, old couple trying to speak in all languages. Very warm welcome and immediately giving advices, helping with what we needed. They were also flexible with the breakfast and packed as we had to leave early. I can just recommend this lovely place.:)
Cons: Unfortunately, we arrived a bit late in the evening and almost everything was closed around for dinner. It's more of a watch out of you reach the place around 9.00-9.30 p.m. At the end we found a pizza place. Plus if you go to Brussels the traffic is horrible, can take up to 2 hours vs what google says sometimes: 45 min.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, laid back. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Nothing bad at all

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, stylish interior
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great character, and very pleasant staff made thus an ideal spot for us to stop over on the way to Germany. The town was interesting and the hotel just a short walk from the town centre. Our room 42 was a corner room with excellent decor - windows on both sides with net curtains all around making a unique feel. The bed was huge 6ft+ and the corner position gave the room a quirky feel. Refurbishment at the moment gave us a shock at first with scaffolding alongside the reception. Ignore this you will be very pleased once inside.
Cons: One of us is in a wheelchair and whilst the staff made every effort to accommodate us be aware for some even this spacious room isn’t fully accessible. One main moan, the sink really is design over function - it’s impossible to get one knees under the sink especially if in a wheelchair- long distance ablutions therefore needed.
6,7 Good
Pros: modern and clean, small hotel with good location. Simple and efficient check-in and out.
Cons: Room on the small side, aircon was very noisy so we opted for open windows even if that meant street noise. Design came before comfort it seems. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Warm options to be ordered separately but staff messed up the simplest orders.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very bright and clean.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location and quality of the rooms, breakfast and friendliness of the staff

Pros: Breakfast was very good, and the location was really fantastic. There's a big car park underneath the hotel and it's a two minute walk to shops and restaurants. The location and proximity to parking made our stay much easier.
Cons: Our room had various holes in the walls, smudges on the doors and walls. Beds were okay. The soap dispenser broke while I tried to use it in the shower. Restaurant didn't offer quality food (it was combined with a Starbucks) and it was quite expensive. Go elsewhere for dinner. Pool is a bit small and not enough ventilation.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are great, super comfy beds, clean toilets and the staff are nice.
Cons: No elevator at the hotel, so having heavy luggage was a problem to go to 3rd floor.. The breakfast was mediocre and limited. Nobody sits in the reception corner unless you call the waiters.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. Great location near shopping and several restaurants.
Cons: No lift
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, in the city centre. Large and nice decorated room . Very clean and a freindly stuff
Cons: Poor breakfast, uncomfortable stairs from the ground level up to the rooms level
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly environment, helpful staff, good location (not far from the train station and in the city centre), facilities are modern but the building is traditional.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, clean and functional room. There is AC in the room which was much appreciated as we were there during a heat wave. The breakfast was also fantastic! Bread rolls with ham and cheeses, cereal and spreads all brought to your table with fresh orange juice and coffee/tea.
Cons: The hotel is joined to a restaurant so there is not always staff at reception as they run the restaurant too. There is also no lift and all the rooms are upstairs.
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was ok, the staff was friendly, the location was good
Cons: No lift, and the wooden floor was terribly noisy
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the junction of the ring road and the shopping street. Excellent location. The room was super cozy with a nice bathroom. Very clean. Staff was nice too. There was big cupboard with locker facility as well.. a heater and cooler was also there. The breakfast was standard with bread, various spreads, ham, cheese.. fruits, coffee and cereals. The internet was high speed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Food and the silence
Cons: No elevator, so avoid heavy luggage
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfect for me. The room was small, but clean and comfortable with everything you needed, and it was a nice touch that they gave you a bottle of water and mints each night. The location was excellent - close to the station and just down the road from the Grote Markt, but the room was quiet. The breakfast wasn't the best I've had, but was perfectly adequate. If ever I went back to Hasselt I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Not a problem for me, but my room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift, so if you had mobility issues that would be worth bearing in mind.
7,5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was simple but sufficiently good. The bed was comfortable and the towels were clean. I appreciated a lot the big safe in the room,
Cons: There is no elevator or at least we were not informed about its existence. There was no one at the reception, we needed to wait them to come from the restaurant. There was a problem with the hot water in the shower, I could not manage to get it.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, cozy room, nice staff
Cons: Pretty noisy until midnight as is in the city center
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice beer garden for drinks and food. Leafy and quiet. Nice modern decor in rooms.
Cons: Would be good if they could extend wifi into garden area.
7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast has plenty of choices. On breakfast, waitresses approach and ask you for the coffee or eggs.
Cons: I didn't like the room. Heating is possible only via air-condition, which produces a lot of noise and generates heat only in one place. Needed to turn it off so I could sleep peacefully, but then in the morning taking shower in the cold room, it isn't pleasant. The TV is unusually small and on weird position. (not worth the deluxe room) Previously I was in a non-deluxe place, which had 2 separated el. radiators and a bigger TV. It was a much better choice.

Pros: The location is great when you want to explore Hasselt and be amids the nice atmosphere of the Zuivelmarkt.
Cons: No bath in our 'Deluxe double room', while it was listed as room facilities. No airco in out 'Deluxe double room', while it was listed as room facilities. Upon my question of the bath at the reception. The lady told me I had to note this down as a remark. Which I didn't. If the booking states a bath and shower and airco is in the room facilities, I expect them to be there. They wanted to give me another room with a bath (no shower) and airco, but this room smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes in it.

Pros: Location
Cons: The temperature of the rooms and hall ways.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The location was good. Roof top bar was nice and the indoor pool was nice as it hit 40 while we where there.
Cons: It was hot while we where there and the heating in the room was always put up. We stayed 10 nights and our room was done 4 times. And that's because we asked. Also the parking was really expensive. Surely some subsidy could be arranged for guest's
9,6 Excellent
Pros: All very good, lovely room and helpful staff, didnt eat there so no opinion on restaurant
Cons: The sky lounge bar service was atrocious, massively understaffed, unfriendly bordering on rude and dirty glasses on vacated tables for the majority of the evening
5,7 Okay
Cons: its sad that a proper set up for parking is available, but you still have to pay for it? and breakfast is an additional 17.50 euro..expensive for an already expensive room
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The comfort of the room is nice, the bed was really good, the cushions are amazing ! A lot of room. The Skylounge was nice to chill. The restaurant, the chef did his thing, it was really tasty. Easy access to everything.
Cons: The room next to us made a lot of noise, you can also hear the noise from the hallway, that wasn't fun at 7 in the morning. The bottom of the pool was a bit dirty.

Cons: Bad Aircon in room and halls, lightning control, window & curtains (small and difficult to control, due to furniture before) Decor of bathrom Dirty carpet Beds

5,8 Okay
Pros: Style of the hotel is cool, location is very nice near the center
Cons: Small rooms, shower could use some renovation
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - nice trendy hotel
Cons: - I had the room on the first floor soo sometimes I smelt the kitchen - Sometimes to much noise
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location in the heart of Hasselt. Free parking at the rear of the hotel for a small number of cars (about 10) but a short walk from a very cheap car park, €10ish for the week. Staff were really friendly. We requested an extra pillow and it was no trouble. Beds made and fresh towels every day. Air con in the room was much needed as it was record temperatures in Belgium when we stayed so this was a godsend.
Cons: Rooms are very very small which is fine but no bathroom door, only a curtain, which I don’t really think is acceptable. Only 2 hangers in the wardrobe for a couple. The shower was tiny and flooded the tiny bathroom when we used it every time. The hotel isn’t cheap, and breakfast isn’t cheap but loads of restaurants and cafes locally. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
5,0 Okay
Cons: The room was extremely small and dark. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable either.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location Great, did not eat at hotel. Other than that Great place to stay.
Cons: Not enough parking.
7,9 Good
Pros: Cosy and nice little room,
Cons: The breakfast was not included and the price for it is 15 euro. The room could also be a little too small for two people.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the lay out and decoration style of the room. It's cosy and small, just what you need for a good night's sleep in the city. The bed is wonderfully comfortable and everywhere in the room/hotel there are fun/motivational quotes. Staff is super friendly and in the evenings you can go downstairs for easy access diner or just a drink in the communal space. Lovely!
Cons: The shower (especially the showerhead) could have been cleaner. It's a shame there's so little space to dry your towels.
4,8 Okay
Pros: the rooms were ok the location
Cons: breakfast too dear for what there was so did bother
7,3 Good
Pros: Good facilities, comfortable, quiet and close to all our needs.
Cons: On arrival at the Ibis and after we had booked in at the desk and given the key to our room - we found that the lift was being maintained so we had to walk all the way up to the 4th floor with our luggage. But the maintenance was soon over and we decided not to complain to the staff.

Cons: The room was on the small side but for the rest it was OK.
4,7 Okay
