Pros: Well equipped room with large wet room. Good food & breakfast cooked fresh to order. Beautiful perpod propert.

Cons: Minor issue but no draught beers available.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Lovely bathroom with nice toiletries. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Had a 3 course dinner which was amazing with excellent service.

Cons: Bedding throw/runner was a bit torn

Cons: Unfortunately, no real ale on the night I visited, but discovered a local spiced rum from the distillery up the road. Also, only serving bar menu and not restaurant, which looked lovely

Pros: Beautiful old building with lovely character. Bedrooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Cons: Little bit of road noise and noise of people turning out from the pub but not enough to put me off staying again.

Cons: Only downside was the lack of cask ale choice - which was none during the stay. They did have a delivery on penultimate day but obviously it needed to settle.

Pros: I booked a single room and was upgraded to a really super double. The staff were very pleasant. I would be very happy to stay again.

Pros: Friendly, reasonable rate, modern room, traditional hotel, nice toiletries in room, great manager (Hayley), good shower, lovely food for dinner, free mini pudding!

Cons: chilly in room, stained sheet, no hairdryer (provided when requested), TV reception sporadic, TV at an immovable angle to the bed, very bad sound proofing

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, Rooms in an adjoining converted building were unassuming but perfectly adequate and clean and tidy. Good breakfast very reasonable price we decided to stay an extra night. The hotel has won many awards which are well deserved.

Cons: We were disappointed with the a la carte dinner.Portions we felt were modest and with most main course options a vegitable selection was extra.

Cons: I had booked a twin and a double room, and was actually allocated two double rooms which wasn't suitable. Breakfast selection was not as suggested on menu. Sound proofing of rooms was very poor.

Pros: Staff very friendly ans a lovely looking place very homely feel to the bar.

Cons: There were stains on the bed sheets that when you consider it was the honeymmon suite (friends swapped rooms with us as it was our wedding night) was a very discusting thing! We had to get some towels to pull off hte covers as we refused to sleep on that!!!! The shower leaked too which meant that my husband fell over on the wet floor in the morning because he hadn't realised!!!

Pros: The staff were all friendly and polite and willing to go out of their way to help. The room was modern and clean. Food in the restaurant was lovely.

Cons: The sink in the bathroom had a shelf directly above making it difficult to use. The milk at breakfast was off to the extent that it was lumpy.

Pros: I would like to say that this was the best guest house experience I have had in ages, the staff are the friendliest and polite I have ever meet, well done to all the staff at The White Hart Guest House.

Cons: The hotel needs to have money spent on it and have a good refresh. the hotel needs a thorough clean, the room was just about acceptable but the corridors were dirty. Lots of cobwebs about, especially from the beams. The rooms have low ceilings and beams. This should be highlighted in the description. Whilst period details may be attractive, when clean, for anyone approaching 6 feet tall they are a hazard, especially in with no lights on. Having had a power failure in the annexe where my room was, no lights, no heating, no sockets, no water, reception responded with sorry we are waiting for an electrician, nothing we can do. Having had to dress without washing, as breakfast was finished I was offered a key to a room which had become vacant in the main hotel so that I could shower. The beams were even lower, dangerously so I would think. I wont be staying there again.
