Nice grounds, good spa treatments
Old , needs renovation
Everything. Great food, great facilities. Friendly and professional personnel.
The location is amazing, The view is spectacular. Driving to the hotel and climbing the Carmel ridge was a sight for sore eyes, and already got us into the mood of vacation. The food on breakfast was one of the best I've eaten in hotels, and was simply a delight. The pool was convenient though felt a little old-fashioned, but the garden around it is simply amazing, and was fun to walk in the afternoon hours looking at the sunset and the moon rise. The inside pool was also great, the spa facilities are incredible. The quality of the water in both pools is spectacular, properly maintained and clean!
The pool outside feels as if it could use a renovation. The rooms feel a bit old-ish, though cozy and convenient. The fact that we had to schedule for dinner and couldn't arrive when we wanted without planning ahead - that was pretty annoying. And most important of all, the fact that it's a Kosher hotel means that the food in Friday evening is subpar, and not in the level as it is in other evenings, and in Saturday noon the food is simply non-existent, you can't buy anything decent - that was REALLY annoying.
Great location in the forest and top level facilities. Staff are generally all very nice and helpful. Everything was beautiful, serene and quiet, except for some disruption by other guests (not at fault by the hotel though they could perhaps enforce their own rules better). The little things like the herbal teas in the spa and chocolates at the reception go a long way.
There were certain limitations at the restaurant due to the sabbath, for example the coffee machine was not operating at breakfast and most of the poolside menu was unavailable except a few sandwiches. It should be better stated in advance which features are altered to accommodate religious guests that may effect other guests. At dinner, there is a slight feeling that you are rushed by the staff.
