Choosing a compact or mid-size automobile would be advantageous for navigating the city's urban streets, navigating tiny parking places, and handling narrow roads in older portions of the town. Haifa is noted for its mountainous terrain, particularly around Carmel Mountain. If you intend to drive in these locations frequently, selecting a vehicle with good climbing ability and enough power to manage the steep hills is best. Choose a car with vital safety features like ABS, airbags, stability control, and other advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that improve road safety.
In most urban areas, Haifa's speed limit is 50 km/h (31 mph). It applies to city streets, residential districts, and built-up areas. School zones and busy regions sometimes have lower speed limits. It's crucial to observe speed limit signs. The speed limit is usually 90 km/h (56 mph) on motorways and expressways outside metropolitan areas. It's important to check speed limit signs because road conditions and construction zones can change them.
Some Haifa public transportation stations provide Park and Ride facilities. You can park your car and take public transportation from these locations. Park and Ride parking is cheaper than city centre or tourist area parking. Free or cheap parking is available at some Haifa shopping areas and malls. Azrieli Mall Haifa, Grand Canyon Mall, and Castra Mall are examples. However, time limits and parking validation may apply. Blue and white parking signs designate Haifa's on-street parking. Certain hours require parking costs. With a maximum parking time of a few hours, on-street parking costs about 10 NIS (2.14 GBP) per hour.
Pros:They did not argue about small things, friendly, professional, new car, spotless. Can return the car with no additional cost to any branch, can hold more days without telling them and price drop
Cons:location hard to find. if you go from local web site the car insurance cheaper, and the main thing- when you order you don't know what will be the total as they don't tell you the insurance cost which is 3-4 times more than rental
Cons:Poor service, over charging, un professional.
Pros:drop off process was fairly quick
Cons:1. Price shown didn't include compulsory insurance. 2. The car I was offered had whistles in air conditioner, all other analogous (Nissan Micra) too. We had to go back to the office and pay more money (not much though) to upgrade and get good working car. 3. I was explained that 250 free km is just mileage limitation - wtf?
Pros:They tried to be courteous.
Cons:Needed to add a driver. They told me i had to come in. I matter how hard I pushed they would not give in. So i went in to the branch. While there adding the driver the guy next to me checked out a car. They told him if he needs to add a driver he can email or fax in a copy of the DL of the driver, no problem. No need to come in... I don't like wasting time, esp for no reason. Oh, and they also tried to get me to put another $500 deposit, and sign a new contract at a higher rate - neither of those did i agree to of course.
Cons:Cars in very poor shape, unprofessional at the Rishon Lezyion branch.
Cons:Lack of ability to effectively and timely communicate with Budget personnel.
