Pros: The Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Their dining room was closed at 5 PM on New Year's eve, our 3rd year there for NYE, but they kept our champagne chilled for us for Happy Hour before walking to another Hotel for a little supper, and for us to welcome in the New Year on their wonderful rooftop lounge. The night staff turned on the lights up there for us. and Miguel Angel was excellent in greeting us and getting taxi's etc.

Pros: We greatly enjoyed our 4 day stay at this hotel. It is very clean and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. We needed assistance to print an important short document and the front desk staff as well as the young woman at the concierge desk helped us. Excellent breakfast buffet. We also ate dinner one evening- pasta and salad. Very good and price was good. We were surprised to find our room was larger than expected. Furnishings suited the colonial style of the hotel and nicely upgraded bathroom. Our only suggestion is to provide a bath mat.

Pros: A location is perfect, right in the middle between the historic downtown and Av. Chapultepec. The room is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff is very approaching and friendly, provided great advice. The breakfast has tons of choices if you eat meat, otherwise, eggs, yogurt, and some pastries.

Little touches, like all the lighting being controllable from the bed were much appreciated. The staff were very nice and I really liked the location as it was central to a lot of attractions. Cons: The hair drier was almost dead, it took a ton of time to make my hair acceptably dry. Usually I am not picky about small things, however, for whatever reason, pillows were very uncomfortable - huge, and very firm.

Had to give your key to the front desk when leaving the hotel because the key deactivates after a certain distance. Simple and fast to get the key back once you arrived. Cleaning service was really nice and thorough. Loved the big pillows in the room. Room size was perfect as well as the bathroom size. Loved the space in the shower as well. Interior looked very classy. Would stay here again.

Pros: Great location.... Walk 1 1/2 short blocks and your at the beginning of the tourist walking street attractions. Abouts 7 blocks in a row with Plazas, Churches, Fountains, Museums, Restaurants, Sculptures and Government Buildings with murals not to be missed. Rooms away from elevators are quiet, ask for 5th floor or higher, really any view is fantastic but the preferred Church steeple view rooms are hard if not impossible to get. I arrived to the hotel at 10am and had to wait until half past 11 to get a room away from the loud elevator. No View of Church Spires but got room 706 and saw another church a few blocks away and some impressive mountain views.

Pros: Great location.... Walk 1 1/2 short blocks and your at the beginning of the tourist walking street attractions. Abouts 7 blocks in a row with Plazas, Churches, Fountains, Museums, Restaurants, Sculptures and Government Buildings with murals not to be missed. Rooms away from elevators are quiet, ask for 5th floor or higher, really any view is fantastic but the preferred Church steeple view rooms are hard if not impossible to get. I arrived to the hotel at 10am and had to wait until half past 11 to get a room away from the loud elevator. No View of Church Spires but got room 706 and saw another church a few blocks away and some impressive mountain views.
Cons: Slipped a little on wet bathroom floor, grabbed for towel rack and the bar came off in my hand. Someone else had done the same slipping motion, pulled the towel rack off the wall and the Hotel Staff never fixed the towel rack, Housekeeping just keeps putting clean towels on the loose bar and its an accident waiting to happen, Could you imagine dropping that bar on your foot... Three out of four light bulbs in the room were burnt out, woman at front desk with long curly hair is not trying in any way to earn any customer service points. The rest of the Hotel Staff was excellent. Really slept well regardless of the pillows from hell. Oh and the towels are old and worn. And my sheets were torn and it looked like someone steam ironed a candy wrapper to fix the hole.

Pros: The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower great. Overall great room. The staff at the front desk were awesome and so were the men who took care of the cars. I would not call them valets because they seemed to do a lot of different things, but they were awesome.

It wasn't far to walk to the cathedral area and lots of great sites. I didn't go out walking at night, but during the day it seemed to be a safe neighborhood. It was nice, too, that they had a computer down in the lobby that anyone could use.

I also thought I had an issue with the prepayment charged to my credit card and contacted the hotel after my stay. The hotel responded very quickly and resolved the misunderstanding efficiently.

Cons: The staff was friendly at first, but seemed to grow less so as I had more requests/needs. We had a large group, though, so as the coordinator, it wasn't really a lot to ask for the number of people we had (I wasn't just being high maintenance). Part of the issue may have been that their English wasn't so good and my Spanish isn't so good. Whatever it was, it wasn't the best experience of service. Also, the street seemed noisy at night, but as we went to other towns, by comparison, it wasn't. Mexico is just kind of a noisy place.

It was a very comfortable room with a great shower and lovely bathroom. I am not normally it fan of restaurants in hotels, but when I stay here, I eat in the restaurant at least once a day. Very good food and service in a lovely setting. The location in the historic district really can't be beat!

Vegetarian food is quite difficult to get but the hotel chef was so accommodative to customize the meals for us and prepare vegetarian food. Front staff was very helpful is guiding and giving the right information. Cleaning staff is so accommodative and understanding. Overall excellent place to stay, I truly recommend this hotel for anyone who want to stay in down town!!!

Cons: The whole place was dark , seemed like a dungeon. The room had two large windows (1in the bathroom) that faced a an inner space, no daylight. The mattress was super hard and towels were scratchy. Only decided to stay one night. Had trouble watching tv, it would not work, and someone was playing piano in the lobby until 10 pm and it was so loud we couldn’t go to sleep ( we are early risers).

Cons: I arrived near midnight and the staff at that hour was unfriendly and unhelpful. The guy even started ranting against booking reservations and how they complicated everything. Morning staff was a little more helpful and even gave me free breakfast for my whole stay after I complained on the treatment upon my arrival. Rooms were ok. I was travelling for business so I didnt need to spend too much time in the hotel. When I was leaving early in the morning (2am) the same unfriendly staff was at the desk, and he didnt even offered to help me get a cab at that hour, and didnt gave my invoice for the stay. He said day time staff will send it. Breakfast was lacking in variety too. I was for a whole week and after the third day I opted to go to a starbucks instead.

We found a bench luckily. We were told the tour was not going there but other locations.

Cons: Even though it was freezing cold at night the AC’s heating function didn’t work (and the reception desk mentioned only after the first night when we set the AC for +25°C in the hopes of getting warm, but instead it was working on +18°C and cooling the room). The towels were unpleasantly grey (they were white long-long time ago) and the overall condition of the facilities (bathroom, carpet, bed sheets, etc.) should have been upgraded again, long-long time ago! I hope Gamma Guadalajara will do that pretty soon.

Cons: Room features were dated. There was an iron; however, no ironing board. There was a blow dryer; however, it did not function. Lastly, the running water we used for showering IS NOT potable, or usable, for brushing your teeth. I made the mistake of brushing my teeth with that water. The taste is worse than hose water. Even after attempting to run the water and let the pipes clear of any possible sediment, the taste was absolutely horrendous.

Cons: Shower and restroom is beyond tiny. Bed was rock hard and NOT king size. My 6'3 husband hung off the end of the bed. Water never got hot. Room is tiny and dirty. Sheets and towels were visibly stained. Our shampoos weren't full and lotion was opened. They cleaned our room anyways when we had put the do not disturb sign on the door. wifi is poor. view is horrible. area is ghetto. We booked somewhere else before we were in this hotel for 24 hours. They don't even given a facial towel. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Cons: The building is pretty old, the rooms were very dirty, they did not change the duvet cover. There were hair all over the place, it seems that no one took care of the cleaning. There was food standing on the hallway. Very disappointed with the hotel. The staff was useless. We couldn’t sleep properly since the outside noise can be hear from the rooms despite being located in the 9th floor. The window doesn’t close properly, and when asked to change the room, the personnel refused to do so. Avoid this hotel, the worst experience I ever had. Unless you want to experience a horror film with dirty, dark, noise and cold rooms.

Cons: The "blinds" were not working well, it took several reports and being angry for maintenance to come a day after. I wanted to sleep until late morning and the sun was in my face at 7 am because the blinds were open. Then I hated that the cleanning ladies knock at the door at 9 am to ask if they can clean the room. Its so rude when they dont know if you are resting or holiday. Then we were not able to find something and looking for it we found a lot of dirt under the bed.

Cons: The air conditioner was not working, maintenance came to look at it and told us that it's the same in all the rooms and nothing could be done. We suffered through the night in a hot room. So hot my husband slept on the bathroom floor. There was only one elevator working so the wait to go up or down was long. To top it off my room key deactivated and I had to wait to go down get a new key and then wait to go back up.
