Pros: Lovely colonial style hotel with large rooms. Great breakfast buffet.

Cons: Lots of noise from the lobby lounge - atrium style hotels are always noisy and this was no exception. We had to ask several times to have our room cleaned - they seemed to forget us each day.

Pros: Nice old colonial building that has been well maintained. Room was really clean and service was good.

Cons: My only compaint is that my room didn't have any windows which wasn't that big of a deal since I was only there to sleep.

Pros: Everything! Location, staff, historical beauty and charm - has it all! Everything is within walking distance Staff was beyond helpful. Can never thank enough in helping me plan vacation since last October. Genuinely exceptional Staff!!

Cons: Understandably so their plumbing may need some updating. I saw how the water would stand in shower after just a few minutes. Also, would explain sewage smell coming from bathroom. But is grand old hotel.

Pros: David, the concierge/doorman was wonderful & not only valet parked my car as I couldn't find the carpark entrance but also escorted us to our room & made sure we had all the relevant info on the hotel facilities. The menu was excellent and very reasonably priced especially for central Guadalajara. Food quality very good. Lobby & bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. Location superb

Cons: Dinner service was slow and there was no separate bar so it took a while to order a drink to take to the lobby.

Pros: Really nice hotel with such a comfortable beds. The staff was also friendly and helped me with all my questions and disabilities (as I was walking on crutches). Could not have a better room for this price in the city center! +Roomservice was great and also not expensive

Pros: The housekeeping staff was amazing! They were super friendly and very accommodating.

Cons: The reception staff was extremely rude! From the moment I called to make payment, they were not helpful. One of my travel partners showed up later and was questioned upon arrival. I reserved a room that accommodated 4 and he would have been #3. They called to the room and said that I would have to pay extra to allow him to stay. The AC unit would freeze up and spit out large chunks of ice making extremely loud noises throughout the night and making a wet mess all over. I reported it to the staff and all they did was shut the unit off to defrost it. We were never offered to be moved to another room.

Pros: Great location.... Walk 1 1/2 short blocks and your at the beginning of the tourist walking street attractions. Abouts 7 blocks in a row with Plazas, Churches, Fountains, Museums, Restaurants, Sculptures and Government Buildings with murals not to be missed. Rooms away from elevators are quiet, ask for 5th floor or higher, really any view is fantastic but the preferred Church steeple view rooms are hard if not impossible to get. I arrived to the hotel at 10am and had to wait until half past 11 to get a room away from the loud elevator. No View of Church Spires but got room 706 and saw another church a few blocks away and some impressive mountain views.

Cons: Slipped a little on wet bathroom floor, grabbed for towel rack and the bar came off in my hand. Someone else had done the same slipping motion, pulled the towel rack off the wall and the Hotel Staff never fixed the towel rack, Housekeeping just keeps putting clean towels on the loose bar and its an accident waiting to happen, Could you imagine dropping that bar on your foot... Three out of four light bulbs in the room were burnt out, woman at front desk with long curly hair is not trying in any way to earn any customer service points. The rest of the Hotel Staff was excellent. Really slept well regardless of the pillows from hell. Oh and the towels are old and worn. And my sheets were torn and it looked like someone steam ironed a candy wrapper to fix the hole.

Pros: The staff were very courteous & efficient. They have a breakfast buffet that was very convenient & interesting. Room service was quick & reasonable. The hotel is right near the major landmarks, The Guadalajara Cathedral & Degollado Theater. The air conditioning was nicely adjustable. They have a gorgeous rooftop terrace with a sweeping view of the landmarks.

Cons: The armchair in my room was a bit too low to the ground. The bottom sheet on my bed was rather short, so when I loosened the top sheet & blanket, it came up & out.

Pros: I love the location everting was within walking distance. stores, market, restaurant, church and entertainment. The are was very clean. the people were very friendly and helpful, I will visit the place again and will recommend it to anyone that likes to walk and enjoy shopping and history.

Cons: My room was too close to the subway, noise was laud at night, I couldn't sleep but my family were in a different floor, they had a great sleep.

Pros: The location was excellent as well as the outdoor pool and patio. Plenty of fast food places and tourist attractions nearby.

Cons: The elevator looked rundown and smelled. Maybe they were renovating? The hotel was too close to a nightclub which the loud music could be heard until 9am the next morning. The ladder in the pool was missing steps. I reserved a room with a full-sized bed and got a room with 2 single beds because the front desk said that was all they had.

Pros: I love everything else about this hotel, great sturcture great architecture, great location fancy, affordable and would stay there again anytime.

Cons: There is an old rusty metal chair inside the pool, its not only dangerous but the corrotion gets in the water and its gross, you need to take that chair out and just put in ladder. The cleaning lady walked in my room without knocking.

Cons: Saturday night was really hard to sleep. I think outside of the hotel or next to it was a party and they did not turn off the music to close to 6 am.

Cons: They were refurbishing the upper floors however their loud work was well out of the time that it was any impact to us.

Pros: There was hair on the floor and the room didn't seem clean but they sent someone right away to clean it and fix the problem.

Cons: The internet didn't work for 2 days. As an international traveller without phone reception it is highly inconvenient not to have wifi. They couldn't even offer me a free breakfast as a kind gesture of good will given the inconvenience. Why don't they provide free drinking water? Instead they give lots of plastic bottles of water - really bad for the environment. Same with all of the consumables used - soap and shampoo, thousands of small plastic non recyclable items used every day. what a waste

Cons: Beds are TERRIBLE, internet is never on, did I say BEDS ARE TERRIBLE already? The hotel is being remodeled, so all day long there is a lot of noise. Bed really are terrible! You can feel the inside wires of the bed.

Pros: The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and clean. The location was great - right in central Guadalajara. The staff were also very polite always and helpful in their recommendations of spots to check out. The breakfast was nice. Thanks!

Cons: I would've liked more flexibility in being able to check out later. They do offer a "half-day" option, where you pay a little extra to stay until the late evening, but I only needed to stay a couple hours past check out time, at most. However, they did offer to hold our luggage downstairs at no extra cost. The parking garage was also really tight, but that's to be expected in Mexico.

Pros: The hotel is perfectly located within the downtown historic area and the staff were very nice. They were willing to meet an exceed all our requests.

Cons: Room features were dated. There was an iron; however, no ironing board. There was a blow dryer; however, it did not function. Lastly, the running water we used for showering IS NOT potable, or usable, for brushing your teeth. I made the mistake of brushing my teeth with that water. The taste is worse than hose water. Even after attempting to run the water and let the pipes clear of any possible sediment, the taste was absolutely horrendous.

Cons: Staff was not helpful. We had to check out early in the morning (6am), that is why we asked for some breakfast (at least some fruits for taking away) when we checked in. So they would had 3 days to prepare that, but the staff just said no, did not even try. There was no hairdryer in the room and at the reception either. All in all it is not a 4 star hotel, rather a 2 star.

Cons: The place was just horrible, it was dirty,old and in a horrible neighborhood! My phone was stolen while we were walking to go to eat, not a good place to stay!!!
