Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The location extremely comfortable and close to the main bus stops. Nice bedroom.
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: The hotel was quit difficult to find.
Pros: Location, price, parking
Cons: I like more 4-star hotels :)
Pros: I like the staff. They are friendly, make you feel welcome & are very responsive. Location is very good. Rooms are comfortable.
Pros: Perfect location in the centre of Darmstadt with parking. Friendly and professional staff. Nice rooms, exceptionally clean Very good breakfast.
With a stay at Hotel Jagdschloss Kranichstein in Darmstadt, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Russian Chapel and Museum Künstlerkolonie. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We stayed in the museum building, lots of trails to walk on the property, beautiful pond. Breakfast buffet was very nice and had a good variety. Everything was very clean.
Cons: NO aircondition - hot room.
Pros: Staff great breakfast excellent
Cons: No hot water in room although discount given at check out, single bed small
Pros: The rooms are comfortable and clean and the bed has good pillows. The hotel has a small park but we could not benefit from it because they gave us a room in a more remote building in driving distance from the hotel.
Cons: We booked one of the last rooms available for 6th December and hoped to have a nice stay and dinner in a romantic hotel. When.we arrived at the hotel we were told our room is not in the main hotel but in a neighbouring building, which we had to reach by car. We arrived at the neighbouring building - but that is just a historic conference building with a museum away from the castle hotel, with no proper signage to find it, no outside lighting, no reception, no catering offer nor service desk. We were kind of "locked away" alone with few other guest n a remote building and had to use the car to drive to the main building. "Night at the Museum".... The Hotel restaurant was fully booked and neighbouring restaurants recommended by the hotel where fully booked too. So we took the car again and had dinner at a normal restaurant in the city of Darmstadt. This was all not what we had expected....
Pros: Great beer, helpful and humorous bar staff, quality of room furnishings. Pleasant walk from annexe to hotel BUT this could be difficult in poor weather and wasn't clear at time of booking.
Cons: Room rate / cost increased rather out of proportion - given that our group had booked far in advance, due to Frankfurt Motor Show and that we were in annexe rooms some 10 minutes walk from hotel. Walk to annexe was initially described as just 200 metres - which is wildly inaccurate.
Pros: Whilst this location is not close to the city centre or near trams, it is perfectly located for easy access to Frankfurt Airport by car (less than 30 mins.) and suited our purpose very well. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous with good variety and generous portions. The grounds were picturesque and the historic buildings have been tastefully repurposed.
Cons: There is little to dislike about this accommodation. However, there are two distinct buildings that make up this hotel. The "Zeughaus" block is a five-minute walk from the main reception and dining areas. In the summer months, this is a delightful stroll to breakfast; can't imagine the same comment applies in the winter months.
Cons: No air conditioning and with the single piece, thick blanket, sleeping was very hot and uncomfortable
With a stay at Hotel Donnersberg in Darmstadt (Verlegerviertel), you'll be a 2-minute drive from Darmstadt State Theatre and 5 minutes from Kunsthalle Darmstadt. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
Cons: AMEX is not accepted
Pros: Near centre, host & staff lovely. Highly recommend.
Pros: Very good Indian/Pakistan restaurant nearby. Decent breakfast
Cons: Small room / noisy
Cons: If the windows are open, there was quite a lot of noise from traffic
Pros: Very helpful staff and comfortable room. Nice breakfast
Pros: Spacious room and very clean. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfast could have a little bit more variety.
Pros: Large, clean, comfortable and quiet room. Helpful staff. Tasty breakfast.
Pros: Individual decor
Cons: Coffeemaker would be nice to have
Pros: Good bed, good breakdast, free garage, balcony, near to Mathildenhøhe Künstlerkolonie, walking distance to city center.
Cons: We would have prefered a room facing the garden instead of the noisy street.
Pros: Big rooms with balcony. Good and diverse breakfast. Pleasant staff, especially the lady on reception. Best location in Darmstadt. Very, very nice garden and coffee lounge.
Cons: A bit small bathroom, but nothing could be done.
Pros: The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom clean with plenty of hot water The location was great for what we wanted but the biggest bonus was the secure underground garage where we could leave our car for the duration of our stay. The reception staff were also very good. We found some good restaurants 5-10 minutes walk away.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the shortage of chairs on one side of the room to place clothes overnight. The other point might be something that the hotel can't change - it was good to have a balcony but it looked out over a busy road. But it was still nice to have as we could dry the clothes we washed overnight.
Pros: We liked the location as we were visiting a relative close by. We also liked the walkability and sights along the way.
Cons: Coffee in our room for the morning would have been nice plus a mini fridge.
The Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel Darmstadt is not only characterized by its modern facilities but also by its location and accessibility. Especially business travellers appreciate the proximity of approx. 100m to the main railway station as well as the optimal connection to the freeway roads (A67 and A5). This ensures that even Frankfurt Airport and the trade fair centre in the metropolis are within easy reach. To the city centre it is only 2.5 km or 5 minutes by tram in front of the hotel. In addition to the spacious restaurant and bar area, the hotel has a newly renovated wellness floor with a view over the city, furnished with pool, sauna, steam bath, fitness and relaxation room. Guests can choose from 248 rooms in different categories. 104 standard rooms, as many comfort rooms, 4 business suites. In addition, the hotel offers 40 rooms, which can be used for a family stay with up to 4 persons. With 11 conference rooms, the hotel offers the largest range of rooms for conferences, seminars and meetings in Darmstadt. Three of these conference rooms offer space for a maximum of 220 people each. The hotel has an underground car park with 110 parking spaces
Pros: The room was renovated and very functional with parquet-like floor, had everything you needed, including tea-making facilities and an ironing board. Comfortable bed, rather good sound-proofing. Breakfast till late (11 or 12 am, I think, on weekends), but ....
Cons: ... the (loud) music in the lobby and the restaurant where breakfast was served was annoying. Breakfast choice rather limited (lots of cheese and ham but very little fruit, no good bread). The decoration in the restaurant should be updated to match the nice rooms. As for the bar, well ... tastes differ. Subcontracted house-keeping is an issue, unfortunately common to lots of hotels (the cleaning staff themselves are not to blame, but the cost-cutting mentality and the resulting working conditions).
Pros: Good location, close to public transport hub
Pros: Cleanliness, room facilities, staff
Cons: Garage space for each car is limited in comparison with price requested, and I had the car damaged probably during beside car door opening. Pub service is quite slowly and it's not easy to get attention from waiters. They should look more frequently at customer face to see if they needs something
Pros: Room cleanliness, comfy bed, polite staff and friendly staff. A gentleman brought me some decaf coffee at breakfast but it was just instant.
Cons: The gym was super hot, the little fan didn't make much difference. Also in the gym, the water bottle in the water cooler was empty, I went to reception to ask for a new bottle and they said there wasn't one. I would expect a hotel of your size to keep one spare. In the room, there the creamer was just an empty used sachet. Only instant decaf coffee for breakfast priced at €18
Pros: Great room! Spacious and comfortable, nice bathroom and very clean. Huge TV, bigger than mine
A stay at Welcome Hotel Darmstadt places you in the heart of Darmstadt, steps from Darmstadtium and Hessisches Landesmuseum. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Darmstadt? This hotel has facilities measuring 3735 square feet (347 square meters), including a conference center. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is located in the centre of Darmstadt, which is perfect. The breakfast was good, but standard. The room was big, well-cleaned.
Cons: I needed some assistance to login to the internet.
Pros: Excellent location and within a 5min walk of the centre of town. The staff were very friendly and in particular Ben and Timo in the bar made us feel extremely welcome. They had an excellent attitude and were very warm and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. And it was very good value for money.
Cons: The rooms would benefit from a small tea/coffee making area and also an iron and ironing board. You possibly are able to request one but it's just an added hassle. Having one there and ready to use would be better. A mirror on the desk would also be helpful for makeup application. The lighting in the bathroom isn't suitable for it so you can't use that mirror.
Pros: I liked the convienence of beeing next to the location my event did happen. I liked the breakfast. The scrambled eggs were very good.
Cons: Everything was allright, so there was no complaint.
Pros: The location was great and the staff helpful.
Cons: The toilet smelled of urine.
Located in Darmstadt, Hotel Stadt Heidelberg is within a 15-minute drive of Frankensteins Castle and Darmstadt State Theatre. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Quiet country side. Positive that it is located near taverns and near super market. There is a quiet river nearby for walking and bicycling.
Cons: Far away from train station. Average view (not panoramic). The pillows were big and very soft, not quite confortable. Room temperature not selactable (did not find a switch).
Pros: Location excellent for our needs. Extremely clean, superbly equipped.
Cons: Breakfast was good but at 9am some of the food looked tired.
Pros: The breakfast buffet was out of this world. Never seen anything like it. It was small, but it had everything and more (!) that you could want. Fresh fruit, great cheeses and everything was made with love you could tell. Also there were even vitamins and flavours for your coffee. Also wheat-free and milk-free alternatives. It was also quiet there and the staff was friendly.
Cons: Luckily, it wasn't hot during our stay, but I'm sure that when it's hot outside it's gonna be hot in the rooms, because unfortunately there is no air condition. Also I didn't like the fact that there were wireless telephones in the room, but you can switch them off easily. making the radiation worse.
Pros: Basically everything
Cons: Wifi Connection was not so good.
Pros: just around the corner from my office, so ideal for me.
Cons: The lack of reception when arriving before 10pm is slightly disturbing and the notice for wifi access wasn't out so I couldn't catch up on work.
Pros: Completely incompetent and unfriendly
Cons: The staff was difficult to work with and misleading
Pros: Nice, modern and super clean room. Very friendly staff, very accommodating. During the night it was very quiet inside and outside the hotel. The hotel is located with easy access to the highway and easy access to Darmstadt City with tram or by car. But you are still in a smaller village with easy access to the Odenwald for a walk and you even have the views from some of the hotel room. Now in spring to very green hills.
With a stay at Maritim Hotel Darmstadt, you'll be centrally located in Darmstadt, within a 10-minute drive of Kulturwerk and Kunsthalle Darmstadt. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Due to unavoidable situation I had to cut short my stay - They charged me 90% of the 3 nights I didn’t not stay for. Which is too high. Normally hotels charge one night and refund the rest.
Pros: Very good hotel with proper breakfast. Swiming pool is amazing especially if you travel with small kids. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. Hotel was exceeding my expectations.
Pros: Great hotel amenities and staff. Easy to reach from the high way and dining options just across the street. We stayed with our 2 small boys in a studio room and was plenty of room for us all. Pool was also nice and convenient in a winter day :) Rich breakfast and very friendly personal staff. All in all, a pleasant experience, we will probably return! :)
Cons: Only critic is that there is no door in the main bedroom, so apart from lack of privacy, it was also a bit inconvenient noise wise when both were watching TV simultaneously (boys in the living area and we in the bedroom). If it wasn't for that, would be a 10 out of 10.
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: Behaviour of the supervisory staff at the reception was not that courteous. Junior staff members were helpful though.
Cons: breakfast is good but a little expensive
Pros: Nothing in particular
Cons: Too expensive.
Pros: Very friendly staff and good price
Pros: Really nice Pool, Restaurant and Room. Big breakfast and with Glutenfree options.
Cons: We had a long walk to get to our room, being 8 months pregnant with a 3year old Kid, it was a bit bad, specially after the pool!
Pros: As for this type of hotels, the room (3+1) was actually large enough to host a family. I was missing a chair to sit at the desk (I had to work). There were two poufs available so I cannot say that I could not sit at all, still...would be more comfortable :-) Cleanness really OK, Breakfast OK (large breakfast room). Price great and you are still in the city centre. We had to be in Europaviertel so this was really great.
Pros: Close to Darmstadt central station, nice facilities, would book again.
Pros: close to Hauptbahnhof
Cons: The owner was not kind he was absolutely rude to us and his houskeepers.I didn't like how he treated his workers.Hw didn't allow us to speak to them and told them that it is forbidden to talk to us and he said 'DO YOUR JOB'
Pros: Comfortable beds and pillows. No smoking so hotel smells super nice. Staff gave us a 3 bed room when they saw my son is adult - I had booked a room with a bunk bed by mistake.
Pros: Everything as adverted. It is great to not have any surprises when you just stay overnight.

Pros: We are Muslims and a lot of breakfast food was not suitable for us.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent!
Cons: First night the room was having a strong smell of tobacco, very annoying, asked to change room but was not available. Changed room the next day. Got a ticket for a drink in the bar for this.
Pros: The best as always
Cons: Good breakfast, but bacon was overfried
Pros: Bigger rooms than usual
Cons: Pay before staying
With a stay at IntercityHotel Darmstadt in Darmstadt, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Kunsthalle Darmstadt and Herrengarten. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: Very clean hotel, great location and fantastic staff
Pros: The staff at the reception were so friendly, kind and accommodating. Thank you.
Pros: Clean, comfortable and price worthy.
Pros: very professional facilities, free WiFi everywhere. Clean, spacious. Location next to the Hauptbahnhof was awesome and very convenient for us. Decent buffet breakfast, with both Continental (fruit, musli, cold cuts etc) and English options (toast, bacon, eggs etc). Staff were all multi-lingual and very professional.
Cons: Maybe another pillow or blanket.
Pros: Very well designed rooms, super central location
Pros: There is frig in the room. The room is quite spacious and have many storage space. The staffs are very hard working and friendly. The breakfast was served from 6:00-10:00am, very good for early risers and having a lot of varieties. The location is excellent - in the walking distance from the train station and the tram station.
Cons: There could be a water boiler in the room. The bed is too soft and the pillow is too low for me.
Pros: convenient close to train station, basic room is clean and has what you need would be nice to have a bottle of water otherwise really good for the price
Cons: tv has no sleep timer also no dual pane windows for noise from train

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Tea and coffee making facilities available in room
Pros: staff is very kind
Cons: there is no elevator
Pros: The breakfast was well laid out with a very good selection of different items. The best part was the fact that the staff were continually re-filling the bowls and plates so that nothing ran out. (Marmalade would have been nice!) The location was idea for us. In fact we chose the hotel because it was within walking distance of our son.
Cons: The beds were a bit hard but we still slept well. Otherwise we were impressed that despite the close road junction we could not hear traffic in our room. Also the room was a good size.
Pros: Very nice and helpful woman at the front desk

Cons: having to queue for checking out
Pros: Staff is ok
Cons: My room was under the roof. The temperature was 30C or higher within the day and at night. No air condition, no air movement. I left the chocolate bar and when returned in the evening it got melted. Maybe my room is good at winter season. No toothbrush and slippers.
Pros: The location is in the center of the city and great for shopping or sight seeing. Amazingly friendly staff and very clean, quiet and very comfortable sleeping, very impressive!
Pros: Breakfast was awesome, The best scrambled eggs I have ever had. Hotel was very clean and comfortable,
Cons: staff were a little unfriendly, it feels like they need some extra training in how to talk to the public and how to be freindly and interested in what the guest is saying..
Located in Darmstadt, Hotel Jungstil is within a 5-minute drive of Prinz-Georg-Garten and Herrengarten. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: No heating. No breakfast (only very poor continental breakfast). WiFi very poor.
Pros: Breakfast was OK it was typical European pastry, meats and bread etc. I used the quick service next to reception which was useful. Overall i cannot complain the breakfast was good.
Cons: The hotel was in two separate buildings which was confusing. One building had just rooms and the other had a restaurant and rooms. It was no obvious that the two were connected.
Cons: There was no air-condition but suana in the bathroom!
Pros: Nice hotel, clean and up to date.
Cons: Shower gets hot then cold then hot again and with hot I mean burn your skin to the ground hot!!!! Then it’s ice cold so you can cool down hahahaha but not comfortable. I had a quiet room, next to a tram railway, next to a busy street. Nothing quiet on that. Also the room was hot. No airco (forgot to check) opened a window .... whoah that noice... closes it when I wanted to get some sleep.
Located in Darmstadt (Mitte), Hotel Restaurant Bockshaut is a 3-minute walk from Darmstadt Palace and 6 minutes by foot from Luisenplatz Square. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and an elevator. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Staff were lovely - friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: Poor WiFi signal.
Cons: Air conditioning!
Pros: Very convenient location in the city center. Easy access to public transport. The property has a nice restaurant offering good food. The staff is friendly and ready help. Good place to stay if you are on a short business trip.
Cons: The wifi connection is not stable and not accessible everywhere.
Pros: Old style German hotel - There are many more modern hotels in town, but, if you wish to go back in time a little and experience the smaller scale hotel vibration then this is a good choice. The staff are friendly and with good humour and help you with maps, recommendations and advice. The place has a restaurant and a wine / beer garden. And it is just around the corner from the Rathaus Keller with its great German pub food and home-brewed beers. All in all, a positive and pleasant experience.
Cons: When you book a single room in Germany or Austria - That can be what you get - A shock to many travellers. The first time I stayed I was in my "cell" with a fixed bed and bashed my knee as I turned! - Too small. The noise from the garden can be a problem to bring ear plugs in Summer. And, The breakfast was €12 extra and, unfortunately, not worth it. No hot options with average coffee. Take your €12 downtown form many better options.
Pros: I like the charm of hotels in historical buildings, in city centers. They don't need to be 'perfect' if people are friendly and the price/value ration is correct. It was all fine.
Cons: I don't like carpets in bedrooms, It does not give an impression of cleanness.
Pros: Price is 123 Euro per Day, But no breakfast.. They are snatching money.. Worst experience.. Food is most expensive.. One night I had dinner. Its almost 15 Euro. gave food around 100 gm only.. Waste of Money.. Worst Worst Worst than Worst
Cons: Price is 123 Euro per Day, But no breakfast.. They are snatching money.. Worst experience.. Food is most expensive.. One night I had dinner. Its almost 15 Euro. gave food around 100 gm only.. Waste of Money.. Worst Worst Worst than Worst

Pros: The evening meal was great value and the steak was cooked to perfection with the extra addition of the grilled onions.
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: A bit off center location
Pros: The staff. It was Zara who made all the difference. otherwise we would have lrft.
Cons: No one was at the reception when we reached. We could not get into the hotel. There was no prior intimation or instructions via email regarding this. We almost left, but a gentleman from the opposite hotel explained and called someone and then a staff member, Zara came. She was very helpful.
Pros: the restaurant in the hotel was great. Great food and great service Hotel's personal touch, candy everywhere Breakfast was great!
Cons: too hot and stuffy in the room could hear plumbing
Pros: the breakfast was outstanding, the owners very friendly and the retaurant also had excellent food and service.
Cons: I travelled with an 82 year old mother and she found that getting to the bedroon on the second floor entails a lot of walking up and down stairs, we would have found it better if we were on a more accesible floor level, specially for the elderly.
Cons: Parking garage not enough

Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was quite large. The adjoining restaurant was very pleasant and the food was decent. Parking spaces were abundant and right next to the hotel.
Cons: The rooms haven't been renewed in quite a while, Even though it was very clean, there were old stains on the carpet and there was a general feeling of substantial wear and tear.. The internet connection was problematic and slow.
Pros: Town center, good location. Clean room, good breakfast.
Cons: Parking could be tricky.
Pros: Friendly people
Cons: The facilities need better cleaning
Pros: Dinner at the sunny terrace!
Located in Darmstadt, Hotel Garda is within a 10-minute drive of Prinz-Georg-Garten and Museum Künstlerkolonie. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: EXCELENT EVERYTHING!!!!Bed, breakfast, shower, mattress. Very nice service!!!!
Cons: Noise from street, stuff not polite No isolation from room.
Pros: Well priced, comfortable and friendly family run "Italian German" hotel just out side central Darmstadt. Integrated Italian restaurant meant it was easy option for dinner and breakfast. Chosen because 15min walking distance from Deutsche Telekom campus. Owner was able to pick up in luxury car from Frankfurt airport within 20 min and reasonable fixed fee.
Cons: Day time temperatures very warm over 31C which meant sleeping was an issue as air conditional was limited.
Cons: Location is faaaar from centre and breakfast simple
Pros: The restaurant was nice. The food good. The wine as well.
Cons: Some regular and disturbing noise from the air conditioning but it needed to be in use since the temperature reached 37 Celcius!

Pros: Location of the hotel was convenient at the start of the city center . taxi drivers had the possibility to stop directly in front of the hotel .
Cons: Nothing . I was pretty satisfied with our stay .
Cons: The permenant extractor fan in the bathroom that cannot be switched off
Pros: Breakfast is good. The place of the hotel is fine - 3-5 min to tram stop or 10 minutes to central square.
A stay at Pallas Hotel places you in the heart of Darmstadt, within a 15-minute walk of Prinz-Georg-Garten and Herrengarten. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Planning an event in Darmstadt? This hotel has 592 square feet (55 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Terrible. No blocking noise from the outside. During the weekend, too loud music is coming to the room until midnight. No window. Small room. It's not a common hotel, it looks like a temporary building. Be careful, the hotel is a very negative position to the customer and the service. I have ever this hotel before.
Pros: I did like the comfort of the bed, the quiet room and the clean bathroom. The location of the hotel is a little bit outside from the city center (ca. 20 min on foot), but if someone likes to walk and then needs a comfort and quiet room to rest for the price , it is all one needs.
Cons: The Hotel does not have a reception during the evening hours. The procedure with the automatic check-in by entering the credit card into a machine in order to get the key, was not clear enough during the booking procedure. I think that should have been clear as many people would hesitate to enter a foreign credit card late in the night in a corridor into an machine without having somebody from the personnel being around for safety.
Pros: Value for money and cleanliness
Pros: Close by supermarkets
Cons: Opening in the celling which cannot be closed completely. This can through off you privacy and wake you up when sun comes out.
Cons: Hard to find - a little door in the large building among car centres and stocks. The hotel is on the third floor over supermarket. You arrive at the locked door nobody inside
Pros: Rooms were clean and there is a decent effort to maintain it.
Cons: I get the prices will vary according to demand. But there should be a limit! 300Euro per night for a hotel with auto-checkin and no staff around to be seen is not good. It's not nice to feel you've been scammed.
