This facility far exceeded my expectations. My room was spotless, linens pristine, everything just perfect. Breakfast was good. Extra coffee/cookies/candies laying about all all different times showed me that they really cared more about people staying having a good experience than their bottom line. I can’t say enough about how well I felt looked after during my 3 day work stay. Thank you!
It’s almost not worth mentioning because the stay was SO GREAT and this was just one employee- but there was one night desk worker who was annoyed by me coming to her. She was more interested in a guy visitor and I could tell she really didn’t want me interrupting. My complaint was very important: I had been using a surge protector outlet/usb provided in the room. There were two and I really appreciated them being there. I was using one to iron (Sunday night probably around 10 or 11 pm) getting ready for my first work day in the morning. The surge protector started smoking and I could smell the electrical burning. I unplugged my iron and unplugged the surge protector from the wall. I wanted to carry the cord out of the room because it was still hot and smoking. The surge protector had been secured to the table probably for security reasons so I took scissors from my sewing kit and cut the cord. I carried the cord to the front desk worker and reported what happened. She did not appear interested in what I had to say. I mentioned that the fire alarm in the room didn’t detect the smoke. I stayed another 2 nights following the incident and no one approached me about the cut burning cord or fire alarm. Other than this incident my stay was fabulous. Even with the burning cord and fire alarm issue I would stay again- the issue for me was the front desk worker and not the cord. Things like this happen and I understand- but you just can’t outshine a bad worker.
The shower size and design.
Size if the room, bed, no chair, guide to television didn't work.
This was a very convenient location for this trip.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Sleep Inn at Sleep Inn at Greenville Convention Center, specifically on the night of March 6, 2020. It all went well enough at first. I had worked a long day at the Greenville home show at the convention center and would be up early to work again the next morning. I had fallen asleep when about 11pm I was awakened but what sounded like a large party in the lobby. It continued. Adults and children. Shouting. Loud talking. Finally about 11:30pm an extremely loud chorus of “happy birthday” filled by more loud shouting and talking. To the point where I got dress and walked to the lobby to ask them to hold down the noise. That worked for about 5 minutes. Finally I called the front desk to ask what was going on and if they could control the noise. To my astonishment, the desk clerk asked who I was, what room I was in and told me that they ( the party) had every right to be in the lobby. Further she told me no one else had complained and there was nothing she could do or would do. She acted as if I were the problem. The noise continued until about 1am on (now) Saturday. Needless to say my sleep was ruined by the combination of the noise and my aggravation with my treatment by the hotel staff. The next night was noisy as well, though not as bad. I have no idea what kind of clientele this hotel serves but you can believe I will not be returning. I would like a full refund for the ruined night’s sleep on Friday March 6. This business has as its main service, to provide a restful place for travelers and the opportunity for sleep. They failed completely at this in this case. Absolutely phenomenal staff with fantastic attitudes. Genuinely good natured staff all around.
Noise from the room above lasted until 5:30am even after a call to the front desk at 2am.
