Cons: Specially booked this hotel for my birthday and they did not even give me a good room on higher floor which was my ONLY pre request! Then to add to this we were shocked .... for my birthday they gave a bottle of WATER with compliments !!!! Imagine a bottle of water given as compliments for your birthday. And to top it all ... the water was taken back by some staff when we returned back in the evening after sightseeing!! This behaviour was so disappointing and so unexpected from a hotel of this calibre. I will never go back there.

Cons: The room we had was a bit noisy at night because of drunkards (we had a view on the place, not on the back). A bit tough to access with a car (if you enter the restricted area, don't forget to give you licence number to the front desk so that they'll give it to the police and avoid you a fine).

Cons: Street noise could be heard through the sound proof windows. Tired and worn furnishings, carpet, walls etc. This is definitely not the standard of 5 star, more like a really great 3 star. Needs improvements physically. Should have stayed at the Euro Star Cathedral Hotel which receives a lower rating, when in fact it is better. Would recommend Cathedral instead for value for money, standards and quietness.

Cons: Do not expect the normal facilities or standards of a 5 star hotel. It is not 5 star, but it is perfectly adequate hotel if you are offered a good nightly rate. Examples are, in room coffee is a kettle and Nescafe sachet, bar on the top floor is a collection of chairs and a bar stocked with no more than 20 bottle option and just 3 cocktails. No gym and on my stay no room service after 7.30pm and the bar closed at 8pm.

Pros: The hotel is clean, the room looks nice and comfortable. The location is okay, if you don’t mind to walk a little bit to tourist place within 30 mins. We had a car but we’d like to walk in the city rather than driving. The hotel is okay if you don’t expect a fancy 4 stars hotel at a relatively cheap price.

Cons: The air conditioning in the rooms only works from May - sometime in the fall. So even though it was 30 degrees C outside in April, the rooms couldn't be cooled off without opening the windows. However the street noise makes it difficult to sleep with the windows open. Hotel mgmt said there was nothing they could do about this. We were told "it's winter....". I just find it strange that the lobby was air conditioned & cool, but the rooms couldn't be. Also if you're bringing a car please note the parking garage is a very tight fit.

Pros: We typically stay in more independent “guesthouse” or apartment-like accommodation, but decided to go a different route in Granada since our stay included NYE/NYD. It was the right choice as we were able to access services, if needed, 24/7 and the kids enjoyed them pool! The breakfast was excellent. The bathrooms were very nice and the room was well appointed. We found the rooms to feel quite comfortable and cozy, yet spacious.

It had underground parking, which we had pre booked and cost 18 euro per day. We walked to the Palace in 35 minutes and to the Sacramonte caves in 40 minutes, both of which were great days out.

Cons: My only concern was that the staff were not aware of the seriousness of being gluten and dairy free. When I asked for my gluten free bread to be cut and toasted at breakfast, I was told to put it through the restaurant toaster which was being used by everyone else. I had pre booked the restaurant for evening dinner as I wanted a special evening for myself and my husband as it was his Christmas present from me. The waiter was aware that I was dairy and gluten free but I was served a completely different meal from what I ordered, which contained both dairy and gluten of which I can have neither. The waiter put the meal down in front of me, pointed to the daufinoise potatoes and said, you can't have that but then he walked away and left me to it. I had ordered a pork steak but was presented with the leg of a bird coated in some sort of coating. Luckily, my husband had fish and we swapped meals without making a fuss.

Pros: This is a city hotel, with a great location. Its literally next door to El Cortes Ingles, less than 5 mins walk from Granda centre with all the shops, bars, restaurants etc that you would expect. Its a really nice place to stay, decoration is Arab themed which is different and works well, the theme is carried through to the rooms. Bathrooms are a good size, ours had a very powerful shower which was really great. Walking distance to the Alhambra (uphill) is only 20 mins which makes the location perfect for sightseeing and an evening out. The bar serves great tapas too if you prefer in to out and is excellent value for money.

Pros: This is a city hotel, with a great location. Cons: If this hotel could change anything it would be the noise level. OK its in a city and city centres are noisy, BUT the quality of the double glazing in our room was so bad it didn't matter if you had the window open or not you could hear EVERYTHING. Thankfully both of us are pretty sound sleepers but it was a distraction and made the difference between rating this a good hotel rather than an excellent one. Breakfast selection was OK, but continental only, very little if any option for a hot breakfast (though not the end of the world obviously!) Final thought is DONT use the hotel car park at an eye watering 26 Euros per night - there are cheaper car parks less than 5 mins walk away and if you use an app such as ParClick and book ahead, you can get a multi night deal as I did for far far less. (38 Euros for 3 nights / 4 days)

Cons: Could hear noises like someone moving forniture on top of us all the time and generally listening noises from stuff happening outside our room and voices from other rooms all the time. This fact disturbed our peace a little bit during the stay.

Cons: One hotel desk clerk was rather condescending when we inquired about tickets to visit the Alhambra. The clerk who checked us in the previous evening assured us that we could get tickets in the morning through the hotel. All we needed to do was go down to the desk and they'd make the arrangements. In spite of his discouragement, we took our chances and went to the Alhambra and enjoyed a visit there.

Pros: The property was really clean and in a good location. Close to attractions: you could reach attractions by car (a bit hard to park) or by bus (super simple). The Italian guy at the reception gave us a lot of tips and he helped us a lot.
Cons: However we could not find the same treatment from the other staff members. The room did not have a kettle, we had to go at the reception for some hot water then back to our room on 3rd floor. Parking is a myth and you can only pay to park. They hotel offers a parking for 18€ a day. (Which we didn’t use. Parking on blue lines is 1.80€ for 2hours. Do the math)

Cons: The check in took 15-20 minutes. The hot water in the shower wasn't working properly, every minute or so water will be cool and needed to re-start it. Cons: Had to look through previous ratings as could not understand why it's relevantly well rated! With its open courtyard style set-up, it was super noisy! You could hear every door open and close. Under 12's suppose to share the bed, or pay extra for a foldable bed, which then leaves no space in the room. Poor breakfast, dried out meat and cheese, no gluten free options. It's located next to a playground, which means that in the evenings you are walking through bunch of teenages smoking pot. I guess might not be an issue for everyone...

It is slightly out of town (walkable but a bit far!) but there are buses every 5 mins into town as well as a hop on hop off train, both stop very near the hotel.

Cons: The room was not very protected from noises, and some light slipped under the door from the corridor, therefore our sleep was disturbed. The restaurant inside the hotel served rather cheap food, which is a shame in a city like Granada where one can eat super well everywhere.

Cons: The sound isolation does not exist. If there are neighbours, you will hear everything - how they flush the toilet, how the take bath, how they snore, etc. Literally, the walls are made of toilet paper. Also, the breakfast wasn't tasty at all.

Cons: The bedroom was cold, with no visible heating available. The window did not lock closed and so traffic noises could be heard all too easily. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was hot water available down stairs but no tea and coffee sachets available but tea and coffee making facilities I expect in the bed room anyway in this day and age. The bar snack menu offerings were poor and unimaginative and the House Rioja, poor. The bedroom was quite small and the television reception was very poor for at least some channels.

Pros: This hotel is perfectly located- easy to get to with a car, not too central but with a nice walking distance to the sight seeings. I was absolutely surprised to see how clean and well kept our room was, as we were travelling with our small dog and it was pet friendly. We even had a balcony!! The service was great, the room very clean and comfortable. I will for sure go back!

Cons: The SPA area.. It has everything listed on the booking and the photos are accurate, but it doesn't make you feel like you are in a SPA. The saunas were not very hot, the jacucci was alright. Some more love to this area would be great.

Cons: Room was very small. I asked for a room with a view and my view looked out into the vent shaft in the middle of the hotel and windows of rooms surrounding it. The hotel restaurant was closed while I was there and the bar seemed to have very little to offer. Hotel parking is limited and expensive at 19€ a day!
