Pros: This is such a beautiful, cozy hotel! Entering here feels like you're entering a different world and I was not ready to leave anytime soon! Extra fun fact for the ladies - you can actually rent a pair of Laboutin Pigalle shoes here :D Other than that: breakfast is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful, there's a great ambiance in this place and it's very clean and cozy. Also, a big plus is a location, smack middle in the city center!

Pros: Hotel Poseidon is a nice, family-owned hotel close to Gothenburg's center and close to other interesting areas of Gothenburg. Most of Gothenburg is in walking distance, otherwise tram stations are near the hotel. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of items and a marvelous variety of breads. For the other meals there are restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

Pros: Hotel staff are very nice. We arrived late at night and received proper greeting from the receptionist. He was very nice, really put himself in guests’ shoes and thought about our needs on behalf of us. Super good! Late night food offered in lounge was yummy! And the waiter there also delivered true hospitality. We actually decided to extend our stay for one extra day and made the booking on booking.com. In this case, we need to come back to the reception desk and update our keys again. Everything went smoothly thanks to the very professional staff there. Breakfast was good, though they offer same food everyday for breakfast. And the location was excellent for us as it’s close to the train station.

Pros: We originally booked this hotel as the Radisson Blu Royal Stavanger hotel but we were advised the hotel had changed names. We found the rooms spacious and clean, and the beds comfy. Underground parking is available but there isn't much availability and it is quite expensive for each 24 hour period. There is also no guarantee that once you move your car from the parking garage that you will have a space on return despite having paid for 24 hours parking. The hotel staff here were friendly and helpful and they provided an excellent breakfast for guests. There is also a pool here. All the safes in each room were out if use during our stay which was most inconvenient. Seems to be an issue with the previous hotel owners around the device that actually unlocks the safes when guests forget the combination so the hotel have locked all. Bathroom amenities were sparce, only shampoo and body wash available and we didn't have a floor mat so had to use one of the hand towels leaving us short. We couldn't warm up our room either as the aircon system was blowing cold we had to use the bed quilt to keep warm whilst in the room. We wouldn't choose to stay here again as I didn't think we got value for money.

Cons: Difficult for a stranger to find. Even several city people didn’t know where it was. We didn’t know how to use our key card for the elevator and room at first. Manager there late at night to welcome us and also provided a much needed glass of wine. (Liked this very much)

The common lounge area is lovely and relaxing with just gentle background music (thank goodness no invasive noise), laid back sofas and lighting. Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in the center of town, within walking distance to anywhere we needed to go. We loved the under-floor eating of the bathroom, our feet thank you! Pros: The hotel exceeds all expectations -- everything is just perfect: The building itself is very interesting, and both the room and the bathroom are very clean and spacious and have got all the amenities a good hotel should provide. I also liked the little gym and the sauna downstairs. The breakfast buffet is simply wonderful, and the breakfast is served until noon (!) on Sundays. Late check-out (until 6 PM) on Sundays is also a big bonus :-) The staff are all very nice and helpful!

Pros: This was probably the best city hotel we have stayed in. Really interesting architecture within the hotel and great interior design. Loved the artwork in the bar and our bedroom had a high wooden period featured ceiling, plus Christian Lacroix cushions on the bed. The Bishops Arms pub accessed directly from the hotel was a great feature. We ate there twice as the food was so good and reasonably priced. Breakfast provided a varied choice and the breakfast waiter from Edinburgh helped us so much with our tourist related questions and think he’s a great asset to the hotel staff.

Cons: Room was comfortable but felt a bit small. I couldn’t help to notice a lot of marks on the walls (from moving furniture) and a number of stains on the carpet. Wish we had a street view, but our rooftop window wasn’t bad. I was a bit surprised that the hotel bar drinks could not be charged to the room (only for Elite Members I was told).

Dinner in the Norda Grill was excellent, morning breakfast was a veritable feast. Staff were extremely helpful and their ability to switch to English as soon as they heard us speak was amazing! Overall, not one negative to our visit.

Cons: All the city is renovating and the hotel is just in the middle of all that. That makes the hotel a little hard to get to, trafic wise.
The hotel doesn't have a parking of it's own, they point you to a parking garage over the street. We managed to park on the out side parking next to the terminal, which was a little more closser.
The room was smelling bad. You can't open the windows to let it refresh.
The bathroom was very small and the water from the shower is not draining well.

Cons: The Hotel is currently under renovation which was not mnetioned. The access to the Hotel and the reception are not ideal. The workers start early in the morning and finish late, so there was a lot of noise. The lifts in the morning were very busy and the stairs do not go all the way down to the groundfloor which for me is a concern should the hotel need to be evacuated. Had to wait almost 15 minutes for the lift which in my opinion is not acceptable

Cons: When booking, we were informed that there was some work being done to the reception area and that consequently the spa would be unavailable. We were on holiday but considered this wouldn’t be a problem for us. However, on checking in, we were informed that the noise from the building works would start at 8am. Not great when you’re on holiday. The building works affect the whole hotel and it is not possible to sleep given the vibrations through each room. On complaining, the staff are clearly instructed that they cannot do anything to help, which means that we left with a very sour taste in our mouths. If the note they had given us on booking had been more honest and informed us that the building works affected the whole hotel (we were on at least the sixth floor I think) then we would have at least had the opportunity to consider whether we would be awake at 8am anyway, or whether to go elsewhere. Given we had prepaid our room and the extent of the problem was not obvious until the following morning (at 8am), this was not helpful. Simply because of their approach to guest service, I would not recommend the hotel to anyone, even after the works are completed. But I would recommend the restaurant at the top - just stay elsewhere.

Cons: There was no information about the ongoing renovation of the main entrance which destroyed the whole hotel stay experience for us, because we needed to carry the suitcases and two baby strollers up the stairs to enter and exit the hotel from the side or from the fire exit every single time. The concierge helped us but his two hands were not enough.it's not something one looks forward to after long trip or day in the city with two babies. Another thing to complain about was cleaning of the room. We managed to get a stain on our double bed sheet but it wasn't changed after room service. Also the te and coffee was not refilled during the whole stay. Breakfast was OK and absolutely not great, it was in the hotels bar area because of the renovation of the restaurant I guess.

Pros: Barken Viking was a great hotel in an excellent position, the staff was super friendly and even upgraded our room for free because they had some free rooms. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were spacious and comfy.
Cons: I have little to no complaints, being picky under the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly (some dust under the bed), some renovations on the deck meant that we were woken a bit early and with people visiting the ship the position of our room meant we felt a bit less private (people walking just out of our porthole). Also, the bathroom was nice but nothing special.

Pros: we like the buffet breakfast though could include some greens/salad & almond/mandel milk for some of us vegan.
Cons: first when we check-in, one of the lights in our room was not working ... staff promise will attend to it the next day but did not ... we stayed for 4 nights !!! we asked to refill the coffee in our room on the second day but told that they were out.. but NO refill of coffee for the rest of our stays there, ... we stayed 4 Nights & 5 Days !!! there were not sufficient liquid soap in the toilet... the last morning, someone open the door to our room while we were sleeping ??? how can this happen? that's an Intusion & an invasionb of privacy!!! it says wheelchair accessible but its hard to open the door of the boat .... & there's no level path (all cobblestones)to push my wheelchair to the Mall or even the boat ...

Pros: Everything. The room was great, the bed was super comfortable. It was so cool that it was all on a boat. I'd absolutely love to come back here for a longer stay. I truly didn't want to leave my cabin.
Cons: The unleveled floor made it a little difficult to walk, (but they also kept water from going all over the bathroom floor, which really is a positive). It was a little inconvenient with the reception on the second floor. The outside surroundings on land was a little industrial.

Pros: I really liked the fact that not all floors were completely level. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast excellent. It also really looked good the way It was presented. I would definitely stay there again. Very close to shopping mall, and bus and train stations

We are conveniently located in the middle of Gothenburg and it´s close to everything. We have rooms for all occasions. A total of 55 rooms, from single, double or family rooms. Our rooms are of good standard and are different in shape, color, décor and size. All bathrooms are bright and modern. We offer a free waffle buffét every day between 16,00-21,00. Then you can bake yourself some crispy waffles with jam and whipped cream. With Kungsgatan/Kingsstreet around the corner and 2 minutes away from Järntorget, Old Town Haga, and the Långgatorna: this part of the city has the biggest concentration of bars, restaurants and clubs in the whole of Sweden.

Cons: The room, I booked a double room and the pictures were misleading to the room i got. I think i was given the smallest room which looked like single room with a double bed.

Cons: The huge pillow, but that is a problem at most hotels. Hopefully, they will one day realize that even people who don't sleep on their backs don't want to be reminded about their hotel night by a stiff, aching neck.
