This hotel is beautiful with excellent rooms and views of the marina. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, and the buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent. We loved the views and the in-room espresso machine!
We loved everything about the hotel, it is just that the area at night feels a little run down and questionable. It is important to keep your eyes open if you walk around at night.
The hotel is just in front of the marina, the room have a balcony with a nice view. The bed is giant and confy !
The breakfast is really nice but a little expensive
great location, short drive off the main highway to the airport, on the marina near many family friendly attractions and short distance to walk to the main center of town. Comfortable rooms, had a balcony overlooking the marina you are on. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is a restaurant/ bar which is a great place to grab a few drinks before heading to dinner with a cozy patio on the marina.
This hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms and is in a great location for exploring the old centre of the city just 5 minutes walk away. It also sufficiently far from the main road and flyover along the quayside to avoid the noise and fumes from the traffic. Convenient and accessible on-site parking (if rather expensive).
It was great to have a balcony on which to sit and admire the cityscape and the yachts moored below - just a pity it was so small that you could barely move on it. Overall however the hotel's communal areas are rather too characterless to feel welcoming - it probably doesn't matter as you will want to sit in pavement cafe or walk the old streets of the nearby city.
The breakfast was good, the breakfast staff were very good (unlike the reception staff, hence my lower overall score for staff). The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were cleaned on a daily basis. Our toiletries were replaced when we finished them which is unusual but appreciated.
The room we booked was advertised as having a view and a terrace, not a balcony but a terrace. If you look at a regular double room it is advertised as a balcony but if you upgrade to a premium room it comes with a terrace. I was gutted when we arrived to find out that the view was the back of the aquarium (like big industrial units) and the terrace was 1x2 ft balcony. We paid a premium to get a view and a terrace and we got neither. Straight away I went down to reception to confirm that we had the correct room and was met by blank stares, the view is the view and all the balcony's are the same size. When I asked if I could get the room with the terrace I was told they did not have any rooms with a terrace. It ruined my holiday, I was expecting somewhere to sit in the sun looking out over the harbour - not a tiny balcony which did not get the sun looking out at industrial units - we were there for 7 nights - it was a slog to stay the whole time and if there had been a way to cancel and get our money back I would have.
Enjoy your stay at the NH Collection Genova Marina, a stunning work of architecture that stands on stilt-like pillars over the old port of Genoa. The building, designed by Renzo Piano, is perfectly situated close to the harbor and the historic city center. Spend the day at the Aquarium and the Sea Museum or shop at the luxury designer shops on Via Roma, all steps away from the hotel. NH Collection Genova Marina has 140 rooms, some of which come with private terraces with a view of the harbor. These contemporary spaces with light wood paneling are designed to ensure your comfort with rain-effect showers, pillow menus and coffee machines. During breakfast on our terrace, take in the view of the sea and the boats passing by. There is a wide selection of morning foods and made-to-order dishes. For lunch and dinner, Il Gozzo offers delicious Italian dishes that are created with fresh local ingredients. Enjoy these on the seafront terrace. Our Guest Relations team will be happy to arrange VIP tickets and reservations during your stay. There are gym facilities and private parking on site. 7 meeting rooms are available and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
