Pros: The room and entire facility was very clean and comfy. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly.

Cons: That we didn’t have more days to stay.

Pros: One of the nicest small hotels we have ever stayed in! Every need is anticipated and provided for. Very highly recommended. It’s not in the city center of Füssen but on a beautiful lake outside the center. That was a real plus!! Füssen is “ok” but not terribly interesting so you’re not missing out!

Pros: Beautiful location with clean and comfortable rooms. Great shout out to the staff. The girl that checked us in was excellent and got great dinner reservations for us and was incredibly helpful! It was nice to feel away from crowds after a day of touring. A walk around the see is delightful!

Cons: The only slight negative is the way the breakfast area is configured. It makes it a little crowded in the mornings. The rest of the experience more than makes up for that though!

Pros: Location views friendly

Pros: The attention to detail, the surroundings, the pampering, the cleanliness and coziness. It's a home away from home. Actually, it's better. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Pros: Everything was perfect to be honest, especially the view to the frozen lake and snowy mountains.

Cons: The apartment had two bedrooms and was rented to 3 people (me and my friends) but the only bathroom was in the big bedroom. Not very comfortable!

Pros: This is our second time here and we loved it so much the first time we had to come back. The breakfast is just amazing. Each day is different and so well presented. The hotel is beautiful and very clean.

Pros: The owner is a character and a wonderful cook. Incredible care goes into breakfast and everything else about this hotel. Staff is sweet too. Clean, quiet a very impressive place. Plus Fussen is a great stop!

Pros: This is a lovely, peaceful town to stay, and very well located if you would like to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle and also Oberammergau. One can see that the owner has very high standards, as the hotel is very classy and perfectly maintained. There are little touches that makes this a lovely place to stay. The room was very spacious and everything was just perfect. We had a lovely balcony. The breakfast is perfect, delicious and very well presented. I have never seen such a well presented breakfast. Do not be too early for breakfast, as the presentation is like an artwork. You have to see the full picture. Come to the table as arranged by the owner.

Pros: Amazing modern boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the town. The perfect "German" experience:) Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The delicious and beautifully displayed breakfast was remarkable!

Pros: Hotel Christine is in a residential neighbourhood around a fifteen-minute stroll from the old town of Fussen. This hotel is one of the loveliest, warmest places I have EVER stayed in. Kurt and his staff are the definition of hospitality. It's clear that they take great pride in making sure that your stay is incredibly comfortable. Kurt greeted us as we checked in and showed us to our room (he is a sweetheart). We were in room number six. I would recommend you ask for this room. Lots of space, a super-comfortable bed, welcome nibbles and a fully stocked mini-bar, which is included in the room price. This was highly unexpected but most welcome. They don't replenish it but that isn't the point. The bathroom was spotlessly clean; lovely soft towels, washing mitts and toiletries were provided. Room six also has a terrace, which is rather substantial. It has a canopy to shelter you from the sun and has views of Tegelberg and the surrounding forests and mountains. Sitting out there, was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast. This was a sight to behold indeed. Not a buffet. Each table is set. Proper napkins and table cloths. Two types of juice to start with. A three-tiered tea-stand with each tier offering you a delightful selection of yumminess; smoked salmon, shrimps and horseradish on the top tier. Next is the cheese tier and the third is a small selection of cold meats, including Bavarian smoked ham (Speck I suppose). They also bring you out a hot plate; strudel-pancakes one day and a lovely omelette the next. Breads, preserves, and a fresh fruit cocktail (and they will offer you a glass of Prosecco. You are on holiday after all. Honestly, I have never, ever had such a lovely breakfast experience in a hotel before. Any hotel worth its salt knows that breakfast is a central part of a guest's stay. Kurt pays ultra-attention to detail, even providing fresh flowers on each table. I must stress that I am not exaggerating about this. Thank you.

Cons: We made a mistake with our booking. We are so used to booking a double room and a sofa bed. So only booked a double bed when we have a child. The response we recieved when we arrived was like we'd just killed a cat :-( The man was clearly not happy, appeared angry and spoke in german under his breath. Our daughter slept in our bed (our fault) so none of us slept and ate no breakfast but we were then charged for this. We also waited at least 10 minutes to check out when we had an appointment to get to. We didn't give the lowest rating as the polish lady was smiley and very friendly.

Pros: The hotel is very clean, bright and up to date. The location provide excellent views of the castle and is easily walkable to the town center via a pedestrian walkway. The gourmet breakfast was amazing, the best we have had our entire trip. Kurt and Anna were very friendly and welcoming. Kurt recommended a much improved travel route when we discussed our next travel location. We would return for the food and staff alone.

Pros: Stylish hotel with great decor. We had a terrasse onto the garden which was lovely in the good weather. The breakfast was marvellous and staff super attentive.

Cons: The owner, though generally helpful, did come across as brusque.

Pros: The place is amazing. We were in the chalet and it is just great. Sitting in front of it during sunset with a great view of the mountains just makes the day. Many things to do are within a 25 minutes driving radius. The Hopfen See is a Great location for the morning run, burning the calories of the dinner from one of the many restaurants close by. Alternatively, you can use the kitchen of the chalet. The breakfast has all you need, even freshly made waffles for the kids. You can’t get wrong at this place.

Cons: Staff was brusque and not very helpful, room was large and clean but rather outdated. I was disappointed because the hotel sounded much more elegant than it turned out to be.

Pros: Hotel Fantasia is not splashy but is outstanding value. The location near the train station is extremely convenient for the bus to Hohenschwangau. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the full breakfast was delicious. Wifi speed was standard.

Pros: This hotel was comfy and cozy. We had a great room that included a master for the parents and three bunk beds for the kids. Very clean. Breakfast was amazing with typical German bread/cheese/meat but also scrambled eggs, bacon and a lovely cappuccino machine. We were able to walk to dinner. Highly recommend!

Cons: A great location for many various trips. Reception desk was very helpful and welcoming.

Pros: Very convenient. Location near the old town with lots of restaurants/cafes. Great view of Hohes Schloss from our balcony. 2 min walk to Bahnhof bus station (10-12 min bus to castles). Provided with Füssen card for free bus travel and small discount on castle tickets. Nice breakfast.

Cons: Not very sound proof - unfortunately on our first night there was another group of guests being noisy until after midnight. No staff on site to help. Need better pillows.

Cons: Besides the rooms, this place needs updated. Hallways smelled very old. We were on the top floor and it is a pitched roof. I am 6'4" and hit my head quite hard twice because of it. The only place I did not get a friendly vibe was in the pool/sauna area. So we basically stayed away from it :-( For the money and expectations compared to 4 other hotels we stayed at this trip I was rather disappointed in this one.

Cons: The hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. They were unkind and rude, especially to Asians. And there were many mosquitoes and spiders because there was a lot of moisture in the room. They need to learn more about the service mindset that fits the hotel class. And if possible, there are lots of nice and good hotels around, so I recommend finding another hotel.

Cons: We reserved a triple thinking we would get a room with 3 beds. We received a room with 2 regular beds and a roll away for our 15 year old daughter. The room was quite small and hot. We had a wonderful balcony but the people next to us smoked all evening on their balcony and we were not able to enjoy our balcony as much.

Pros: The breakfast was very good and the staff was super friendly. The location is ok, but you will need to walk 10 minutes into the center of town. The area is good and quite.

Cons: I would have preferred to have longer sauna opening hours. They close at 20 so no after-dinner saunas. :-(

Pros: We wanted to stay in a hotel which was located in a nice, peaceful and scenic area and we were not disappointed. Mr. Jakob, the owner, welcomed us with the best smile. The breakfast was really nice. The dining area was cosy. I loved the plates and cups. They were so cute. The room was sleek and very clean. My husband requested a little surprise for me on the day of my birthday and he (Mr. Jakob) absolutely nailed it with flowers, a card and some hearty sweets. This is the cosiest family run hotel we have ever been to. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Pros: The room was bright and clean and I had my own private balcony. The staff was friendly and everything was spotless and well organized.

Pros: Easy walk to the historic district in Füssen. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable but was disappointed we didn’t have a balcony. However, there was a nice sitting area outside our room which we enjoyed. Breakfast was good.

Pros: The beautiful, peaceful location and ambience make this a very restful place to stay. The staff were again very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms comfortable. There was plenty of storage space in both bedrooms and bathrooms and we appreciated having a balcony with views of the fantastic scenery. The facility to take a packed lunch from the breakfast table and also the take-on-trust bar system were very good.

Cons: There were some loud noises outside the first couple of mornings from work by neighbouring buildings but this was beyond the control of the guesthouse.

Pros: This is in a perfect location if you are driving. It’s in a cluster of hotels away from the center, and just a short easy walk into town. Staff were friendly and helpful. They give you a card at check in that covers transportation systems and some discounts. The room was very clean and roomy. It was overlooking a garden and quiet. There is a locked drawer instead of a safe. WiFi wasn’t totally consistent, but good overall. Breakfast was a typical hot and cold buffet. Keys were not bulky for keeping with you as you had to let yourself in after 7 pm.

Cons: Do pay attention to their check in times. It’s only 2-7 pm. We did get an email reminder. The rooms could use a luggage rack.

Cons: The train station is close but you have to go up a hill in order to get to the hotel. It was difficult to do with luggage.

Pros: Very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was typical continental style buffet and was more than enough to start the day. Basic maps and tourist information was readily available.

Cons: The view from the room was a bit disappointing, but in an urban setting it's difficult not to be looking at another building rather than the beautiful mountain scenery. A Gästehaus does not offer the same facilities as a hotel, but then it's not the same price.

Cons: WiFi was terrible. There is no lift and we were on the 4th floor. There is no AC and the fan in the room could do nothing to cool us. It was 33 degrees outside.

Pros: the whole place is great, the apartment is great and well equipped.,the staff are friendly. the views are amazing like totally breathtaking , for a couple it would be a perfect romantic escape, or if you ride motorcycles its perfect, underground parking and only 15 minutes from reutte which is the gateway to the tyrol the lechtal valley where there is many mountain passes you can ride all day long,then return back to your apartment where the restaurant below serves up amazing food at a fair price.

Cons: They don’t show to the photos that the hotel, although it lies in front of the lake, the public road passes through! I wouldn’t book it if I knew it. Definitely not 4* hotel. I find no reason reason why so many people were fascinated with it. Pricy for no reason.

Cons: Room was very warm over night despite turning off heating . We eventually left the door to the balcony open all night to be able to sleep .

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and the facilities were very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good. You also get the option to drink coffee in the afternoon and eat dinner. You also have to option to rent a bicycle or an e-bike which I really liked.

Cons: My room was on the ground level right next to the kitchen so it was a bit noisy. I had a big bed but the mattress was not very comfortable and the bathroom was very small. The bicycle rent per day was 16€ I think that’s a bit expensive for a simple trekking bike.

Cons: Worst reception ever. Rude and unfriendly woman claimed we were too "late" for her own comfort. We sent notice of late arrival at booking, which was confirmed. Then drove for 18 hours from Norway, but sent new notice when heavy snowfall in southern Germany sent cars off the A7 and delayed us for three hours. When we arrived at 21:45 (before the new notice) we felt totally unwelcome. "I don't work this late!!" Well, what else could we have done? Thanks for ruining the start of our winter holiday :(

Cons: There is no AC so sometimes the room got a little bit hot (especially because Germany is having crazy hot weather lately) but there's a ceiling window that you can open to let in some air.

Pros: The owner and employees are so much polite The hotel provide the turism card from the Bayern region that give the free entrance for many of places like cable cars, pools, parks and others. The cleanliness of the apartment is Top! I have seen this before in any hotel around the world. The installations as bathroom and kitchen are very clean and refurbished They offer in the breakfast the fresh breads of different types. We suggest this hotel for families for long period of vacation!

Pros: This Hotel is in a stunning location on the shores of Weissensee...the lake. We had a spacious newly refurbished room with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were welcomed at check in by Bianca in a very friendly and personal way. She was keen to know that the room suited our needs and that we were happy with the facilities. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The full height balcony door/window gave us a wonderful view of the lake..especially with the addition of two cosy armchairs. We were offered a sumptuous breakfast by Maria with an amazing choice of breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruits, cereals and sweet and savoury pastries together with eggs and local wurst as hot options. We would stay here again.

Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: Great place right near the lake. If you look for more quiet place, with no restaurants or night life this is IT. Wonderful view of mountains and lake. Two restaurants are in 15 min walk by the lake. You can rent a rower boat directly in a hotel.

Cons: Nothing special, if you have no car, it can be difficult to reach some places. Not sure if there is a bus stop in a village.

Pros: The location was amazing. Close enough to everything but you felt as though you were in a remote area off the lake.

Cons: Breakfast started so late 8am. Most of the guests were headed out to the castle tours by then.

Pros: it is a hotel with a fantastic view on the lake and great breakfast. Very friendly staff at the reception.

Cons: The hotel looks a bit neglected and should need some maintenance. the bathroom in our room was a bit old fashioned and it would have been nice to find a bottle of fresh water in the room at our arrival, which was unfortunately missing.

Pros: We did a very late check-in - no problem with anything. Requested an ironing board and an iron late at night - no problem. Asked for a cold beer at late night - no problem. I check-out 5 am and they even made some take away breakfast. All with a smile on their faces from A-Z. Highly recommended to everyone.

Cons: The safari picture does not match the apartment I did stay in. You should defrost the freezer in the fridge.

Pros: Quiet, modest hotel in centre of Fussen. Just what we needed whilst travelling around Bavaria. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast buffet.

Cons: Parking. We couldn't get a place in the closed parking lot, but we booked it. So we parked in an open court (or driveway). There was some dirt under the bed. The stone floor was cold, some carpet would be needed.

Pros: The location is perfect, near the train/bus stations (only 2 minutes on foot) and it's easy to walk to the old town center. It's also very convenient to take a bus to the Castles. The hotel room is specious, new, modern and clean. The breakfast is good.

Pros: Very nicely furnished, comfortable beds, nice suite for a family. Good breakfast for a reasonable price. Central location.

Cons: Very difficult to find legal parking before check in. No dedicated drop off zone.

Pros: Central location, close to the heart of Fussen. Parking was easy. Bright, clean rooms.

Cons: We were on the ground floor and so couldn’t open our windows as it was noisy. No air conditioning. Pillows were lumpy

Pros: Shower was good. Room was spacious, beds were comfy. Location is great.

Cons: The only toiletries were soap. There is no lighting over or around mirror in bathroom. There was an electric tea kettle but no mugs, tea or coffee provided.

Pros: The receptionists are friendly and helpful to explain the details for travelling.

Cons: It would be more friendly to provide electric pot, coffee and tea in the room. And the gap between the shower's door and the shower is too narrow! Only thin people can go inside/outside easily!!
