Pros: Everything is perfect!

Pros: my family like this hotel's strong flavour of country style. It is very cozy and the service is excellent!!

Pros: We liked the unique rooms (we were in the Turm 2) and excellent breakfast. Plus it was clean and fairly comfortable.

Cons: The dinner menu was mostly oriented to game animals (e.g. venison). Other hotels and restaurants in Fussen had better choices.

Pros: The decor was antique, yet beautifully maintained and had modern amenities.

Cons: We were told there would be no heat turned on until October. We couldn't call out from the hotel.

Pros: Good location, plenty of character. Very helpful staff and good breakfast.

Cons: There was a funny smell coming from the drains. One of the bedspeads was stained all over, but this was quickly replaced when I brought it to the attention of the staff

Pros: Our room was very large and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and of a high standard with underfloor heating (which is nice touch on a brisk Spring morning). The staff here are very friendly and made the stay more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a wide slection available, (the scrambled eggs and speck bacon a must)! A well recomended place to stay in the centre of Fussen. Will be using the hotel again in the future and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this exceptionally beautiful part of Germany.

Pros: Location is good, just 5 mins walk fr fussen station.much cheaper than the adjacent hotels. But i think it cannot be regarded as a hotel. I guess the owner of the "hotel" owns several floors or rooms of the house and rent them out for tourist or for short term rental. The hotel checkin is supposed to be done at a cafe on the ground floor of the house, but the staff of the cafe are not quite helpful. When we arrived at 6pm while the cafe staff were closing their business, they refused to let us in and even ignored us. We need to go back to the station to make phone call to the house owner. ( i dont think the cafe owner n the hotel owner is the same person. i guess they hv a deal that the cafe just provides breakfast n checkin assistance).

Cons: Then the owner brought us to the back of the house n walked along several stairs, which was quite dark, old n the setting was a bit terrible. But when we entered into the room, it was clean, bright, tidy n larger than I ever imagined. All in all, Inside the room was ok, n I just not felt quite comfortable with the setting of the corridor n the stairs. Btw, there is a supermarket near the hotel. We bought some fruits n drinks at v reasonable prices.

Pros: There was nothing redeming about this hotel

Cons: We had to wait 20 minutes in the bakery for someone to show up to allow us to check in. Once in the "Bed and Breakfast" there are lights hanging from the ceiling, there are old mattresses in the hallway, the door to the bathroom doesn't close, the sweetly leave you the cleaning products so that you can clean the bathroom yourself, the tv doesn't work, and the room smells like old cigarettes. My favorite part of the experience was when he asked for cash as soon as we arrived (not at the end of the stay), and then added "fees" to the confirmed total, and finally asked us to take the paperwork for him to the tourist office. All of this is capped off with your breakfast - which to get you have to walk down four flights of stairs, knock on a door, wait for them to give you the food (2 pieces of bread, and some meat) and then walk back up the four flights of stairs to your room.

Pros: it is very convenient in terms of the location, close to the bus/railway station and old town. The room is simple and clean, it come with a small kitchen facilities which is very convenient, the bathroom is newly renovated too! The breakfast is from the bakery downstairs and it is very good. After all, it is a simple B&B, good enough if you are looking for something simple and money worth. The gentleman who lead you to the room is a very friendly and nice guy speaking very good English.

Cons: the only problem was upon the arrival, as the bakery is simply a contact point, if you are lucky enough to arrive before it is closed, it will be better i think. We just happened to walk pass the bakery and when we returned, it was almost closed and we were waiting outside the bakery until the gentleman come pick us up in a cold and dark winter night.

Pros: The location of this B&B is perfect for those visiting Fussen.

Cons: For American visitors...the breakfast part of the B&B will not be a traditional American breakfast.

Pros: It provided a perfect base for me to explore the nearby dream castles, the old town and other wonderful sceneries. Perfectly located in the town, only 1or 2 minutes from that small railway station where you arrive; the bus stop in the front of the railway station can provide you buses to castles. If you queue early enough for bus, it only takes you around 15 minutes to reach the tickets office to castles. A superstore is nearby, where I bought food and drinks with lowest prices I found in Germany. The room is quite good: clean simple, with all the basic necessities to help yourself, and the staffs are very friendly, with typical German breakfast, I found the price I pay was quite valued.

Cons: This is no 'Haus Gabriel B&B' outside. Although the bakery is exactly like what you would see on their picture, I still spent some time to locate its address. As the first day I arrived there late, missed the check in time I had fixed with the staff, I found the bakery was closed, no one was there! It was only around 6 pm! I had to contact the staff through the telephone number they provided; I had to go to the nearby hotel to find a telephone to phone them. Fortunately, there was still an answer.

Pros: Haus Gabriel is a B&B service, you get what's advertised. It is a budget accommodation albeit slightly on the expensive side for the offer. The rooms were fitted with facilities; this somewhat compensated for lack of dedicated breakfast hall. The staff member we met was very helpful, spoke good English, advised us on local attractions and places to eat.

Cons: The quality of renovations made leaves a bit to desire in order to bring this B&B up to the European standard. The rooms were advertised as double but were in fact twin. No credit cards accepted - but this is somewhat of a problem for the whole shopping and staying experience in Germany so was no surprise.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, many pleasant details (like orange lamps in the breakfast room). Good room, silent place.

Cons: They make a big publicity about features like sauna, spa, and so on. But all these facilities are working just for few hours in the afternoon, so it is impossible to use for people arriving later then 7.00p.m. and/or leaving in the morning. Considering that spa is not available there is no meaning in pay a price 50% higher than average price in this area.

Pros: Away from the city center but located at a peacful country side. Also the breakfast is good.

Cons: Suggest to arrive this hotel in day time, otherwise you will lose you direction during the night.

Pros: The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. Their knowledge of the surrounding area was terrific! I was there with just my kids, but I want to go back with just my wife to enjoy the more romantic side of the hotel and the area. Also, the breakfast buffet was stellar in both size and the amount of choices available.

Cons: I reserved a double room and it was 2 single beds pushed together instead of a single fullsize or queen sized bed. Be wary of that. Other wise, a perfect hotel experience.

Pros: We booked a Comfort Double Room which is a big nice room with balcony went to the castle Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau (4 kms) and to Fussen Town which is very nice.The hotel is very clean and confortable. Good hospitality. Free internet.We were staying at the hotel mid September.

Cons: The hotel did not have any English or French tv chanels but only 26 german chanels. It's very pity because during 3 days we could see tv in the evening.The other thing is that all the details on the food menu are only in German and we did know what we are going to eat exactly.The are only 5 places for parking, otherwise you can park outside the hotel and pay for parking. The hotel staff did not proposed sauna spa activities to us as we read on the overview of the hotel .Please note that the last picture showing the hotel in front of the lake with the mountain is wrong as the hotel is located in the countryside and not near the lake.

Pros: Beautifully situated in a quiet park setting. Wonderful breakfast and helpfully family run staff. The rooms are well appointed and large.

Cons: Sauna and spa not available on Sundays and Mondays and not notified on booking.com

Pros: Very affordable and friendly staff. When we could not be there for breakfast because of an early train the credited back the amount that breakfast would have cost. That was amazing to me. Very clean and bathroom was a good size. Wifi was also good for FaceTime:)

Pros: The hotel is located in a very scenic part of town and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was great as well; we ate there for 2 nights. It is walking distance to the town center and train station but not if you are carrying luggages. Taxi costs about EUR5 from train station to the hotel.

Pros: The hotel has a reataurant on the first floor, and the food is delicious. A good choice for a dinner after a day visiting the castles and surroundings. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. Wonderful breakfast. Confortable bed and good shower. The location is fabulous: it is not near the citycentre, but in a green area, surrounded by trees, lakes and several houses in german style. So beautiful.

Cons: The bedroom and the bathroom are not renovated. I think that the hotel could improve the confort in the individual rooms, and be more careful with the cleaning. There was duty on the headboard, for example. No channels in english on the TV.

Pros: The hotel is in a quite and lush area. The room was perfectly clean and ample, and the staff was friendly and resolute in their attempts to communicate with me in English. The breakfast room and choices were varied, the coffee was great! ! Overall, great value for the money, and I really enjoyed my stay; I would gladly stay there again. As far as the hotel´s restaurant, I would recommend the restaurant´s weiner schnitzel ... it is delicious!

Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. They seemed to really care and be very enthusiastic to help. The breakfast was good, not great.

Cons: I have stayed all over Europe many times over the past three decades, so when I say that the rooms (we had to get two to accommodate two adults and two children ages 5 and 7) were small. I mean they were VERY VERY VERY SMALL. One of the two really was the size of a closet - my closet at home! The beds, themselves, looked like the cheapest plastic Ikea bed you could purchase. Needless to say the bed felt terrible and we all go a terrible nights sleep. Beware, this isn't really a Villa as described, and the grounds also were not as picturesque as depicted online. We paid WAY TOO MUCH for what we got. BEWARE.
