Rental car without power windows or locks in 2016?Pros:AC worked in Miami heatCons:Employee encouraged me to upgrade but did NOT inform me of the lack of features in my rental: NO power locks NO power windows black interior gets SUPER hot in Florida sun $10/day for spouse when most other rental companies I've used include it for free $8/day for toll pass (hardly used), no clear explanation of alternative offered by employee ("they don't have booths" so then is there even an option?!) $200 hold that gets refunded is NOT explicitly stated in the contract and explanation offered by employee was insufficient (my husband is a lawyer) Felt nickeled and dimed - cheapest price online but after added expenses at pick-up, felt I should have gone elsewhere that was more transparent I will NOT use E-Z again.Reviewed Sep 14 2016

Good Value but you get what you pay forPros:-Good value -Size of car was acceptable/comfortableCons:-Pickup process was inefficient (small counter/number of representatives and overall customer service was poor) / Dropoff process was fine -Car was still soaking wet from car wash upon pickup so we couldn't identify all of the damage to notate before taking the car. Later discovered additional damage that was masked by the water and we couldn't notate as such but we weren't charged for it upon dropoff (but could have been) -Check engine light came on frequently upon starting car but would turn off on its own eventually -Also car had no windshield wiper fluid and we needed a few timesReviewed Jan 25 2016

Pros:The car was what we had ordered and there were no issues with the fees. Returning the car was easy.Cons:I have not yet received a final receipt for the rental: we dropped off the car at the assigned time (5 AM) but the attendant didn't leave the booth to check the car and said that I would receive a receipt by email. It hasn't come yet. The pickup process was slow and it wasn't clear what the purpose of some of the questions was. There was pressure to pay $25 for the Surpass/toll and they didn't have information on where unmanned toll booths would be. As it turns out, it was easy to avoid the toll roads and the ones we couldn't avoid were manned.Reviewed Jul 2 2018

Rude Service - cancelled my rental!Pros:I liked how they were in the airport.Cons:I Didn't like how rude the service person was. She gave me a hard time about the vehicle I was renting wanting insurance proof stating all of these specifics that NO RENTAL COMPANY EVER has asked for. Said I was 1/2hr early and the van might not be ready but I was in fact 1/2hr past my pick up time. I told my friend that she was being a rude person and she listened to what I said to him and called her supervisor who promptly cancelled my reservation. I was travelling with 8 people and felt stranded. Worst experience ever.Reviewed May 24 2017

Ended up paying doublePros:Nothing to be honest.Cons:At pick up we were charged 12.95 to add a driver, when that person was going to be the only person driving the vehicle. The sales rep refused to remove my name. We had payed for "luxory" 4 door car and when we got there the only thing they had available was a Mustang convertible. We were traveling with a baby and a car seat. When we asked if we could have a different vehicle they said that is all they had unless we wanted to pay and upgrade fee.besides the one we had already paid for, and then we could take the only other vehicle they had needles to say we drove around with a baby in a car seat crammed in a Mustang. While checking in so many of their customers walked in complaining and upset about fees and services.Reviewed Sep 25 2016

No customer service.Pros:I had a flat tire while traveling. I had tried to call both their road service and their actual pick up location. I spent over 2 hours on the phone - on hold or listening that a mailbox was full. I ended up wasting a 1/2 day and paying for the tire repair and sensor replacement. This rental ended up costing me much more than a legitmate car rental company. The frustration alone was awful. When i got back i was told that tires were my responsibility. To be clear ez rent a car is now part of advantage. Do not rent from them.Cons:The only decent thing about this company was the drop off person who had gotten another job because of having to deal with the lack of customer service. Get what you pay forPros:EZ had the lowest rate for an in-airport compact rental car for the time period I needed itCons:The issue was that for the price, they give you the oldest, most raggity car they have. For example, I got a Toyota Prius, which isn't a bad a compact vehicle, but the one they gave me didn't have power locks of power windows. Those things are not luxury so much as a safety feature. I travel a lot for work (this was a personal trip) and I've never had a compact car without these features (granted, I've never rented from EZ through work). The interior was not the cleanest either (dirty seats and cup holders). At the end of the day, the car did its job and got me around, but next time, and I won't say I'd never rent from them again, i would just make sure I get a better equipped car. Pros:Not much.Cons:After waiting about 10 minutes for the EZ guy at the counter to finish telling the other EZ guy about his date the night before, he finally got around to asking me if he could help me. They both acted like they were standing on the street corner "chillin" without a care in the world and I was interrupting their good time. Finally got to the car and it was filthy. It clearly had not been cleaned up after the last rental....or maybe the last couple of rentals. Looked like someone had sneezed a couple of times on the dashboard and windshield....pretty nasty. Outside was as dirty as the inside. Never again with the EZ. Spend a little more and use a more reputable rental car company that hires a better class of counter people..Reviewed Jun 4 2016

Cons:We reserved a rental car to be picked up when we landed. It was paid for and confirmed a month in advance. Once we landed at the airport and made it to the desk the attendant said there were no cars. NO CARS after we PAID to RESERVE one. What’s the point of making a reservation and paying for it if it won’t be honored. This was a major pain for us because we were traveling with 3 children. One is stil in a car seat. It was beyond inconvenient. We then had to pay nearly $200 for an Uber to get to our hotel which was another challenge to find one that could accommodate us all. Then we had to fight to get our money back even though they failed to provide the service they were paid for. E-Z rental ended up costing us almost twice us much in transportation on this vacation because they basically lied by allowing us to pay for a rental and not saving it for us. Shady operationPros:The agents were niceCons:The car smelled very strongly of fragrance. Not sure what they were trying to cover up. Most importantly, I reserved a convertible and a convertible wasn’t available so I asked to be downgraded to a compact and I was not given a fair price for a compact car. bad car maintenancePros:easy to pick up and drop offCons:the tire pressure light came on immediately and the agent did not have a tire gauge but did inflate the back tires before i left. The back tires had a slow leak and over the next 48 hrs had to fill with air 4 times. very inconvenient and a source of anxiety. the agent when I returned and explained the problem was very kind.
