Pros: Almost everything is great. The location is good, about 12 mins walk to the railway station, and several good restaurants nearby. The room is comfy and has very nice decor. The hosts are very responsive to our communication and always ready to help and love their breakfast!

Cons: The basement room has a low ceiling. The property is located next to a road that is fairly busy at night, ear plugs are provided! No car park if travelling by car.

Cons: -It's along the main road, so fairly amount of noise is expected in late night and early morning (didn't bother me and earplugs were provided). -the height of the room is limited as it is on the lower ground floor (didn't bother me much either, me personally 5'7'' but taller guests may need to consider it)

Pros: Very quick and easy for taking the 9am ferry the next morning. It took 5 minutes to drive to the ferry terminal. Plenty of parking in the street outside. Handily there is a fuel station about 5 minutes drive away which is advisable before you get to France, where petrol costs significantly more. Full English breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Will definitely visit again!

Pros: I didn't request a cot, however the owner gave me access to an iron and ironing board at the last minute which I needed for a long time, she was so incredibly accommodating and helpful. I also had to have a delivery sent to their address in time for my arrival, again SO helpful and trustworthy. I will stay there 100% again and would recommend it also 100% to my family, friends and colleagues. Also the breakfast was OUTSTANDING!

Cons: Reprimanded for not informing her we had a dog. Door to room I had to duck and enter sideways. Room was only fit for a limbo dancing contortionist. It may well conform to all legal requirements but I would only store unwanted items in it. And I had to pay for it!! Absolutely Awful !!

Pros: Walking in to the Salisbury House and meeting the hosts was like walking in to your favorite uncle and aunts home. They want you to have a comfortable and wonderful stay. We enjoyed the fabulous breakfasts and our hosts gave us great recommendations on restaurants nearby. Our host also arranged taxis for us for a ride to the cliffs and to the ferry in the morning. We enjoyed our stay here. Bonus: we could see the Dover Castle from our bathroom window!

Cons: The bathroom was small, as expected but the sink too small but that was understandable. Linked in to this was that because it was small the room kettle couldn't be filled except by baling water into it from a cup (1st world problem I realise), but a smaller kettle would have sufficed. Mattress I think at the end of it's useful life but that is always a personal thing others may love it.

Cons: We stayed in rooms 4&5, people that either stayed or lived upstairs were so loud all night, banging, shouting and swearing, which was odd to me as quiet hours start from 11pm. Parking is across the street which was not ideal and unexpected. I don’t know the area but at night it did not seem safe to me.

Cons: This is not what I did not like. This is what could be improved. And I trust it is seen as constructive criticism, as I would not hesitate to stay here again. New shower head and fixing. Replace lampshade which is cracked. Just a little more attention to cleaning the shower head and fitting.
