Dollar Rental changed my vehicle rental from. 15 passenger van to a mini van without notification!!! I even drove 1.5 hrs to confirm I was getting a Ford Transit 15 passenger van a week prior to pick up. When I arrived on the day of rental they said I had rented a minivan! I showed the email proof of the Ford Transit. They said I could have that for $500 more!!! The finally gave me an old 12 passenger Chevy van that was very uncomfortable to travel 3,800 miles in over the holidays. Both managers blamed others for the mistakes made and were put out that I wanted what I paid for and reserved. I'll never do business with them again.Reviewed Dec 31 2025

I reserved a car and when we arrived was told they had no cars. That was it - we rented a car, Dollar confirmed our reservation, and then simply said there was nothing they could do about it. Very difficult circumstances after a long day of cross country travel. We will never rent from Dollar again.Reviewed Dec 28 2025

Overall just fine. It rained and the car was very hard to see out of with water buildup on mirrors and rear window. Felt like the glass was dirty and holding water.Reviewed Dec 12 2025

It was difficult to find where to return the car at the airport. Went to the counter to ask for help and Dollar employees couldn't care less. Employees from a different agency (Alamo) gave indications to find the exact location to return the car. The whole thing took so long that we ended up missing our flight.Reviewed Dec 8 2025

Very good. One suggestion would be to emphasize when they leave to get the rental from the office make sure they understand that They must fill out the sheet of paper outlining nicks, dings and/or scrapes, no matter the time of night or day, BEFORE they get to the exit of the rental car place. I paid for a Ford Transit van or similar through Kayak, and at pickup was told that type of van would not be available to me. A Kia carnival was the largest van I was told in the category that I ordered. Clearly there is an issue in communication and transparency between the reservation process through Kayak and what Dollar claims is ordered. I wanted a large van to move luggage for a school field trip and was extremely dissatisfied that I did not receive what I had reserved.Reviewed Nov 29 2025
