10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were there during hurricane Dorian and the owner and staff were great in spite of no electricity (there was a generator for partial service), heat or wi-fi. All restaurants were closed and no one would go out anyway, so they scrambled some eggs with ham and we all ate well for dinner and breakfast was ready the next day
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place was perfect. It was a beautiful, relaxing time with great, friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend it.
Cons: Nothing !
10,0 Excellent
Cons: We asked for scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs from the buffet. Had to pay extra for it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, breakfast was in a bright sun room, and included homemade jams. Wonderful location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: I loved the history of this place. They had photo's throughout the inn from the past that were interesting to look at. The place was very clean and well kept.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything, everything is as advertised and seen in the pictures.
7,9 Good
Pros: Management and staff were wonderful. Lots of help planning our stay. Breakfast was wonderul. Buffet that included eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, etc. Lovely sunroom to enjoy your meal. Quiet location.
Cons: We stayed in an upstairs unit not in the main house. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. Only one bedroom had an air conditioning unit in it. The weather was unusually warm during our stay. Since the windows had been open to cool the upstairs area - many bugs had gotten in to the bathroom area especially. Rooms did not offer a comfortable chair to sit in.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: We stayed in Winchester house with the bathroom on the main floor and the bedroom 15 steps up to the second floor. The house is a story and a half, so the bedroom ceilings were sloped. One needed to be careful not to bang your head.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb. I also really liked the breakfast room/layout. This facility is beautiful and well maintained. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming.
Cons: The only thing for me was the distance from Digby and the fact you had to go on the highway to get there.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was big, recently refurbished and very clean. The hotel is very well located.
Cons: There is no reception to the hotel so must go to the restaurant to obtain the keys. The rooms are on the second floor above the restaurant. We were concerned when we saw the outside of the building because it is basic aluminium sideboards. Not much to impress from the outside but the inside is very nice.
7,5 Good
Pros: Hurricane Dorian came through and the staff still booked us even though there was no power. staff was excellent to make the best of it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything! Such hospitable people. Went above & beyond for the entire community when the power was out for over 24 hours.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!Absolute
4,2 Okay
Cons: Room I selected online was not what we received. We were under the impression that we were getting a waterfront, water view room. Inside of a battery looking at the side of a building. The entry to the property was unpleasant. There were unsavory characters hanging around outside. The room was hideous. The soap, bedding, towels were all of low-quality. The room is clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Dockside Suites was amazing! We loved being right on the water. Our room was the Superior Suite, had a private deck and big windows to see the marina. The room was elegant and superb! We loved the bathroom with a big walk in shower for two, beautiful double vanity and wall mounted electric fireplace. The king size bed was super comfortable. We had a huge wall mounted TV and electric fireplace on the wall opposite the bed. We loved this room and the staff! They have restaurant available onsite which was delicious! We also were there to see the Digby high tide and low tide!
6,3 Good
Pros: Nothing in particular. Thankfully, It was a room for just one night.
Cons: No windows in the bedroom. It had a separate attached small room with a couch and a TV. This room had a small window with a small window unit A/C installed. If you had to climb out the window in an emergency it would be extremely difficult. This window and room provided no meaningful light into the bedroom. I am surprised that they can rent this room considering the safety issues
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was good and the wait staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Could hear people walking down the stairs from elsewhere in the building which shook the bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and the rooms were huge and well decorated and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The only negative of our stay was that there was a Biker Fest going on that weekend which we weren’t warned about. We couldn’t park near the hote because the road was blocked off and the noise on the street and from the club next door kept us up all night until it finally died down around 3am.
7,5 Good
Pros: Outside building and the town in general seemed run down and tired but the room itself was completely renovated and very lovely. The private deck was fantastic. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both great.
7,1 Good
Cons: Steep stairs at entrance. A lot of money has been spent on renovations...a small lift would have been a excellent way to be more welcoming to those with mobility challenges. And a government requirement, I believe??

Pros: Close to downtown Great breakfast Beautiful view
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous property, very friendly hosts and breakfast was delicious! I got a lot of advice and tips for touring NS and coupons for local restaurant.
Cons: There was nothing about the property I didn’t like. I was slightly disappointed with the meal I received at a nearby restaurant. It definitely didn’t live up to the reputation that Digby has for scallops, in my opinion. I’m from New England though, I may have set my seafood standards quite high..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property location and the view was out of this world. We should have stayed longer. The property owners catered to all are needs.
Cons: Everything was excellent
7,9 Good
Pros: We loved the great location on the bay, and our room was very spacious. We also enjoyed our delicious breakfast.
Cons: Our room could have been refreshed with deodorizer since it was musty when we arrived.right
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and had an excellent harbour view. The inn was in a great location for restaurants, shops, and the ferry. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. We stayed in the cottage addition directly on the waterside behind the big house. Everything was so comfortable. Loved the Adirondack chairs by the water with the fire pit. Breakfast was awesome. Crepes one day. Eggs Benedict too. Would definitely stay again. Loved that you could walk downtown to the restaurants. Nice little park too.
Cons: Nothing.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome breakfast. Great B&B in a lovely little town. Homemade bread was excellent. Will return.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: We had air beds because of injuries and put one on the flour and one on the bed. We couldn't even move. The bathroom was down the hall!! Too far for night restroom trekking.
Cons: Wow.. see above.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner Gloria is a very welcoming person and certainly made my stay a pleasant one. Morning breakfast is excellent. To stay in a nearly 200 year plus building is an experience not to be missed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to the water and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very nice. Gloria is an amazing host.
Cons: A very minor quibble, but the plastic packets of shampoo that are provided are really heard to open.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: excellent
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about the Summers Inn....great location, beautiful property, very comfy room, yummy breakfast, great staff. Our favourite part of the Inn though was the owner, Gloria! She made us feel so welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. We loved her so much and we will be going back to Digby next year just so we can visit and stay with her! Thank you , Gloria from Sandra and Madeline xox ❤️

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the warm reception, location and cleanliness of Harmony B & B. We stayed in the Suites and found the space to be quite roomy and the bed and shower pressure perfect.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the water and restaurants etc
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A great basket of muffins, fruit, cereal, breads and jams brought to our room to enjoy for the morning at our leisure. Very friendly owners.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Located in a great spot to explore the Digby waterfront. The owners and staff were great and very accommodating.
Cons: Next time I would get a lower level unit if possible as the stairs were fairly long and steep to second level...for me, anyways. Other than that, was a great stay for me.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, especially when the parents are over. Great location, right at the waterfront, restaurants are 2 minutes walking away.
Cons: n/a
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. It was a very memorable stay.
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly people.
Cons: Nothing, but would have liked a better view of the water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, across from Digby Info center. Owners very helpful! We had a late whale watching trip planned and needed to get the key early but get to the room late, almost mid-night. The room was large, neat and very clean! The continental breakfast was good, with a cold mix of items.
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: Massive room with extra sofa, close to the waterfront and views of the bay, friendly owners.
Cons: Breakfast limited, but to be fair we didn't expect breakfast or ask about alternatives. Shower itself needs a serious clean, there is mildew around the tiles. The coffee machine had coffee left in the filter from the last guest. The biggest issue was noise disurbance. We could hear the room upstairs walking up and down all the time and dragging luggage, dropping things right through till midnight. A sign asking people to not wear outdoor shoes inside might work. We were kept awake by the air con unit upstairs on the first night (despite it being around 13 degrees outside) and kept awake till midnight the second night and woken again at 6am by the appartment above running water for various reasons.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and good facilities. Excellent location for amenities in town.
Cons: Breakfast was provided in room to eat whenever wanted. Lacked any fruit which was a shame.

7,5 Good
Pros: Staff was very friendly, hotel is lovely.
Cons: I booked through booking.com but when we arrived there was no record of our reservation. The hotel actually gave us a cheaper rate. I hope we were not charged by booking.com and the hotel. I will check this out to make sure.
7,5 Good
Pros: Grounds were beautiful
Cons: Small room, no fridge in room
7,0 Good
Pros: The main areas were very grand and stately. The grounds were lovely. The restaurant food and service were excellent.
Cons: Our bathroom was quite dated and needed some repair. Plastic drinking cups and paper coffee cups were not in keeping with the grand feel of this hotel. The carpeting in our room needed to be restretched, there were ripples all over, causing trip hazards.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Bed & food was great.
Cons: Property needs to updated.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Stayed here a couple of times Great views, Great staff good food.
Cons: No mini fridge in rooms. Power was out due to the hurricane, and I asked about a discount or voucher for our stay, they declined. Needless to say I was a little disappointed, however it was a hurricane. I just thought a big fancy expensive property like that would at least have a few generators to keep it going.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food!
Cons: No hot tub!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The resort has done a great job of maintaining the property. Unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy all the amenities such as the pool and spa. We were however able to take the hiking trail and enjoyed the view of the bay. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We especially loved the live music that played in the lounge!
Cons: The rooms had very thin walls so you could hear conversations from the hallway and the room next door. We found ourselves whispering and kept the volume low on the tv not to disturb other guests.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Full range of services onsite. Property was nice and the ability to go for a walk on the paths was nice. We came into Digby by ferry so the location was perfect for us. Beautiful setting with all the treed areas. The resort was quiet. Staff were all very friendly. Good TV and WiFi services in the room
Cons: Rooms are a bit on the small side. Bathrooms are small and dated. Out of the control of the resort, but with the hurricane and the limitations on power the full range of restaurant services were not available.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location and property was lovely
Cons: A two bedroom cottage is not a "two bedroom cottage" it is basically two hotel rooms connected by a small room with a couch and two chairs. No amenities at all in the "cottage" ... one small university sized fridge and nothing else that would even remotely make it a "cottage". The bathroom was outdated ... like an old outdated motel off the highway not a large resort. And too top it off you had to squeeze by the smaller bed to get into the bathroom. Way way way too much money for what you get.
5,0 Okay
Pros: BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS AND SCENERY
Cons: VERY LITTLE HANDICAP ACCESS
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed some of the buffet breakfast. Sunday Buffet dinner was very delicious. Staff very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the Resort and surrounding area. our room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: The fishcakes and mini berry pancakes at the buffet breakfast. not to my satisfaction.
7,1 Good
Pros: The room was comfortable, the waiters friendly. We were checked into our requested water view room but then allowed to change to one without the generator outside the window. Fortunately we had water during the power failure but barely warm.
Cons: The resort failed tremendously in handling the two day power failure caused by the almost hurricane. No back up gas kitchen stoves or lanterns for the kitchen. The coffee had to be made on a BBQ. Only one small candle supplied to each room, more on request. Only tiny lights in the day and nighttime dark hallway so hard to find your way. No auxiliary power to light anything related to fire protection. No effort even when power was restored to serve the famous Digby scallops. None of the usual labelling of the buffet dishes. Most tables set only with a fork and knife and a candle. A mystery that so much ice came in the plastic water glasses. No offer to help with luggage even to those compromised physically. Many stairs, even to the front door. Of the 10 or so adult bikes on offer, only two were rideable and they needed repairs. So many shortcomings and no price consideration or offer of any kind. Choice Hotels should be able to provide power back up equipment so that staff can better serve guests.

Cons: Continental Breakfast was a complete mess. Only one toaster? Only one coffee pot? No muffins? No fruit other than those crappy fruit cups? Only fat free yogurt? Tiny serving area only two people could use at once? Not good at all. If you have a full kitchen, why not offer a full breakfast?
2,9 Mediocre
