Pros: Pub dining and staff.
Cons: Rooms and overall appearance of the property.
5,5 Okay
Pros: We accidentally left a pair of PJ’s on the bathroom door. We called back 3 hours after checking out, Wed afternoon. They took the message and said they would call back. They didn’t so I recalled Friday early am. They connected me with housekeeping, poor connection, broken English, said he didn’t know anything about it but that they might not clean that room until the weekend. Still have heard nothing. Why couldn’t they have just checked the room when we first called. They would have been still hanging there. Room had not been fully cleaned when we checked in. Very poor value for the money.
Cons: See above

Pros: Perfect location for 2-day visit to The Henry Ford. Gorgeous grounds and beautiful public spaces. We were in The Patrick Henry House; comfortable but older and can’t comment on rest of rooms. Excellent food in Tavern one night and enjoyed buffet breakfast in Edison one morning. Interesting history to hotel. Attentive staff. Didn’t realize they had a pool as info not prominently evident; just discovered it when walking the grounds.
Cons: Expensive at about $300/night over weekend before 4th of July unless that is usual price (?). We don’t usually spend that much when traveling but it was a nice treat!

Pros: I was unable to catch breakfast. However, we got in late and the water bottles and fresh warm cookies hit the spot! The room was clean, the bed was cozy, and the hallways seemed freshly swept/vacuumed. I enjoyed the low lighting of the entire hotel. Great location, and close to affordable parking. I think we found our hotel in Detroit!

Pros: The location was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and the food was great. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The parking was very easy. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
7,1 Good
Pros: Very nice hotel. Our room was very large which was great as we traveled with two (big) kids. Staff was really nice and accommodating.
Cons: I never understand that when you book a room for four and you arrive with four people that you have to make your own bed in a hotel. And the cleaning staff didn’t make our kids bed. Only ours. The bathroom wasn’t really clean. (Hairs everywhere —> not ours)

Pros: Good hotel for the most part. Breakfast is okay. Quick to the Airport. nice pool and whirlpool. Although the doors are very heavy, mine was adjusted so that it didn't slam shut. That was a nice relief to not hear doors slamming all of the time.
Cons: The shower was not great and dripped the whole time. I assume this is why the bathroom floor was wet when I arrived. Kind of dangerous. The room doors are so heavy and wrestling luggage through there must be horrible for women and families with kids.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The Room was clean and well stocked. The staff was very friendly and professional. There’s a place in the lobby to buy drinks which are cheaper than most gas stations in the area.
Cons: The breakfast was good but not well stocked, things where empty and ran out quickly. The neighborhood was concerning but the gated property was beautifully kept and like a completely different world when you pullled into the property.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and facilities were clean
Cons: No bacon with breakfast. Pork sausage patties were under cooked!!!
7,1 Good
Pros: Place was clean & Frontdesk employees were very knowledgeable and friendly
Cons: Prices could be a bit more on line with other hotels in the area. Pork bacon should also be added to breakfast menu..
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the breakfast, the friendly staff, cleanliness of the room, and comfy bed.
Cons: The location itself wasn’t the best
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Bed, couch, and pull out bed were all comfortable. Kitchen had a lot of space for storing food. The studio I had was a little smaller than another layout I previewed, but it was still a good size.
7,7 Good
Cons: Better handle on noise level. Or make rooms more sound proof.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The amount of space in the room, and the amenities, with kitchen etc.
Cons: The bed could have been a bit softer, but no complaints!
6,7 Good
Pros: We made our reservations and it took a half hour for them to find it, even with our reservation information. And they were not apologetic for the hassle. I probably would stay again but only if I called them first and made sure they had my reservation pulled up. But I also blame booking.com for not clearly telling us what name they were booking us under.
Cons: The wait to get our room. The clerks attitude.
6,3 Good
Cons: The door of one of the bedrooms was broken and slightly off its hinges. It also had a broken panel. This meant shutting the door was harder than normal. While one person was shutting the door a very large picture fell down on my head and then onto my daughter’s as we were sitting on the sofa. This was heavy and ringed with metal. While it sounds quite comical it was very painful and hurt for the next day. We filled out an incident form but there was no follow up from the staff, the room wasn’t looked at by anyone. An unsafe room.
7,1 Good
Pros: Room clean and beds comfortable, kitchenette was a plus.
Cons: Front desk called our room @ 4am and woke us up because there was a noise complaint so he called every room on the floor. That in my opinion was not the proper way to handle that problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy. Breakfast was good, a nice selection.
Cons: A little noisy. But not bad.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The evening stsff was very courteous.
Cons: The horrible stench of pot in the mornings especislly traveling with athletes and s child who is allergic to all smoke. Then to have the morning staff on Saturday make the comment when told anout it that "some people need to mind their own business"

Cons: A God blessing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel
Cons: Everything was terrific
7,4 Good
Pros: Overall hotel amenities were great, and food was good (although the crab avocado toast tasted like chunky lake water).
Cons: The doors separating the rooms was like an echo chamber. The customer in the next room coughed all night, and it seemed to be amplified through the separation doors. As well, when he got on the phone at 5am the next morning, we could hear every word he said, again like he was standing right up against the separator doors. Once he left his room, I opened up our side of the separator to see if he had his wide open. It was closed. Overall we had a pretty bad night's sleep due to this poor design.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The proximity to the departure area of the Delta flights.
Cons: There's a very bright green light on a smoke detector type thing on the wall facing the beds that flashes all night long every few minutes!!! It is very distracting. If it were on the wall near the door, it would not be flashing people in the face. Restaurant very expensive for what you get.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location is great for an early morning flight.
Cons: The room was clean but could use a bit of updating.

Pros: Excellent stay (we stayed for 3 nights)! Room was ready and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff treated us like they knew us for years. Pool and hot tub were really nice. Temperature was perfect. Towels provided and the area was clean. We had breakfast at Urban Steak (the restaurant located in the hotel) Pineapple was fresh and ripe, eggs were cooked perfectly as was the toast. Nice whole grain bread. The coffee was pretty good ( and I am a bit of a coffee snob). Loved the pepper and salt grinders on the table. Food was not over salted which is typically a problem at many restaurants. Our server readily substituted the fresh pineapple for the meat without a fuss or an extra charge. We would absolutely stay at this Holiday Inn again and next time may try another meal at the Urban Steak.

7,1 Good
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff and courtyard
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Everything, staff was great and location was just on the edge of downtown.
Cons: Room a bit small, but perfect this time as travelling alone.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We let the staff know that it was our 3-year wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room to a king with the bathtub for free. We definitely felt relaxed and wished we stayed longer than one night. We were walking distance to downtown, but they also had bike rentals on property if we wanted to use them around town. The decor celebrates Detroit and so it was nice to see a business reflect the city and people of Detroit. We also wished we stayed for breakfast and had a late night drink at the bar. Also, walking distance to an awesome brewery across the way. Friendly and accommodating staff. We look forward to coming back to Trumbull and Porter hotel!
Cons: There wasn't really anything we did not like. It's something minor, but we wished the windows had another layer of blinds to block out the sun and people from seeing in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, answering all our many questions. The dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, and the pleasant service was amazing!
Cons: A little closet or drawer space would have been nice.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, diamond in the ruff. i liked the location, room, lobby, outdoor area, very nice.
Cons: the shower leaked all over the floor, no way to avoid. I would have liked to have a place to unpack, no drawers, just hang rod.
7,9 Good
Pros: Safe parking, espacious room, lots of art on the hallways.
Cons: I wish they offered breakfast included in the room rate.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It's a different style of hotel--only 4 stories tall, with mock concrete walls in the room. It's a spare design, but very attractive. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious compared to other large city hotels. The lighted mirror above the sink was a nice touch. The towels were big, fluffy, and plentiful. The toilet and shower/tub were in a separate room from the sink.
Cons: The wi-fi set up was annoying. You had to give your email, name, and phone number, and then check your email for a confirmation email which would give you connection. Unfortunately, as soon as your phone or computer goes to sleep, you lose your wi-fi connection and you have to go through the process again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Hotel restaurant is excellent with very good happy hour.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and the food was very good. I stayed in the hotel with my daughter on 8th August and I came back on the 13th because of the kind staff, clean room and good food.
Cons: At first I was not sure of the location I thought it was out of the way of down town Detroit. However as I found my way around there was no hassle to get to the hotel. My view want very good but I was always out exploring Detroit.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Room was very clean. Be aware that the rooms are smaller than big chain hotels.
Cons: We booked a room in downtown Detroit, planning to walk. This hotel is not in the central area.
7,1 Good
Pros: I liked the bed it was comfortable. The lightening was good and I appreciate the extra counter space in the washroom. I also liked the soap provided.
Cons: I didn’t like being woken up at 8:am after a night of drinking because of the awful construction. I don’t like how there is no door to the skin when sharing the room with a friend you have no privacy after showering and if you bring your clothes into toilet area it gets all wet so that’s something you guys should definitely change.

7,3 Good
Pros: Stayed here for the St. Patty's Day parade for the second year in a row. The room is what it is, a room. It served the purpose of a place to crash for the night after partying all day. Only a few blocks from the parade route. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and you can't beat the price.
2,8 Mediocre
Pros: The Price

5,7 Okay
Pros: Free parking, closeness to casino, beautiful view of downtown Detroit.
Cons: Room wasn't fully cleaned when arrived. Bed wasn't completely made, ice bucket had leftover ice/water in it, glasses were dirty, bath tub was dirty.
5,4 Okay
Pros: I loved the restaurants especially the diner in the hotel , the servers were the best I've ever had!Which is saying alot since I was a server for 8 years , the food was amazing as well , you get so much! One hotel deck employee went above and beyond to make me happy after we had some serious concerns about our room! Also valet was great , very friendly and went above what they had to go help me out! Room service was also great ,so friendly !
Cons: MY room was so nasty , I stay in 5 star hotels anytime me and my wife go out and never have seen a room so nasty! I don't think anyone has dusted since the hotel opened! Hair on th the bathroom floor , in tub and shower ( it was not mine) !!! Sunflower seeds on carpet as well as crumbs (again not from me) food on the table , no suger for coffee and only 1 cup! The fridge would not get cold , I figured out why ( it's on a TIMER yes a TIMER) can you say cheap!!! Then the bed had hair in it (not mine) sheets looked liked they had not been washed! I did not even want to sit because everything was so gross !!! Chair at desk even had coffee dripped all over it, tile floor was caked full of black grime!!!! Hotel elevator and rooms floor smelled like pot , neighbors were so very loud! To get a clean room you must have to pay extra to get a floor higher in the executive level! This was my first time in Detroit and if I based if I would go back off of what my room was like it would be a 100% Hel l No! But I loved the atmosphere and restaurants and the city is beautiful , so I would go back just not ever stay here again! Heads up i am a smoker but my wife is not , I hate the smell of smoke any everywhere in the hotel smells like one big ashtray! Management really needs to step up and check on rooms before guests arrive and let go of employees who clearly cannot do there jobs!!!
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful. We enjoyed the free appetizers in the evening and the breakfast in the morning.
Cons: I wish there would have been a small refrigerator for our own drinks and leftover food we had from dinner. Food had to sit out all night and spoiled.
7,0 Good
Pros: Very nive place fancy rooms and clean
Cons: Very expensive
4,0 Okay
Pros: The first nights room that we booked through the hotel was beautiful and clean.
Cons: We stayed 2 nights. First night booked through casino. 2nd night through the site. First night room was beautiful. Recently upgraded. Clean. Got into our room by 12pm. Second night room was supposed to be vip and upgrade. We couldn’t get in until 4pm and staff was not pleased that we kept checking to see if it was. Floor had food on it. Wasn’t upgraded and looked like it hadn’t been redecorated in years. Thermostat was out of control. We paid a lot of money for a few jets in the bathtub and a subpar room. Knowing that they had really nice base rooms available and then knowing we had paid extra for this shoddy corner room - I wouldn’t do it again. When I called the desk to complain the second night, the boy who answered said all the rooms were delux and the same. I didn’t want to argue. We just won’t use the site to book anymore.

Cons: The bedsheets looked as if they haven't been changed. I truly hope that's not the case.

Pros: I liked that the property was super easy to check into, parking was free, the lot wasn’t, crowded, the restaurant was amazing. laRee was my waitress and bartender, loved the jacuzzi in the room, right next to expressway They had a shuttle I didn’t need. But thought it was a pretty awesome service. The staff are amazing. The restaurant and bar were perfect. I had fettuccine Alfredo and fish and chips. Both were excellent. Drinks were excellent.
Cons: Well.... it’s old. That’s for sure. The outside is a little worn. Parking lot. Etc. There was a dead bug in our entrway inside our room. The bathroom is extremely small. Shower is like an enclosure ??? Bathroom sink and vanity are interesting. Lol. The heater in the bathroom was so powerful and unnecessary. I didn’t understand it. Controls for jacuzzi are in the bathroom. Not near the jacuzzi. The breakfast was standard. It was disappointing. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing. The sausage tasted like it may have been old. I took one bite and spit it in my hand. The eggs were... wet ...? Belgian waffle maker is convenient. Would have loved bacon or fruit. There is no pool but i didn’t have kids or time for that. Plus the in room jacuzzi was extremely relaxing. For the 119 I paid these were not dealbreakers.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Convenient clean good breakfast nice towels
Cons: Entry cards don’t work worth a darn. Slightly musty smell going into ground floor rooms
5,0 Okay
Pros: Close to Airport
Cons: This was NOT a 3.5 star hotel. It's a plain old Comfort Inn. It's a 2.5 star hotel. I paid too much!
