Pros: I have stayed in $500 /night hotels that did not have the attention to detail that Bruce and Nancy bring to the Chief Motel. It is older, but well maintained and literally everything you could want was at your fingertips. With one comment Bruce reopened the hot tub, which had been closed for the season. Every morning a clean rag was on our motorcycles. Bike cleaning area and supplies provided. I can go on and on but clearly this is a great choice for families and bikers.

Pros: close to Mt Rushmore, Custer SP and Crazy Horse Memorial
Cons: the room was old, outdated. it smelled old, not clean, we had two huge moths fly out of the curtains and in the bathroom. the bed was uncomfortable, it was old with a thick foam on top of the mattress.

Pros: The rooms are all newly renovated. There were done very nice. Frig, Microwave, good beds. Owners are very helpful and nice. Great place to stay to see Mt. Rushmore and Custer state park.
Cons: The showers were a little slick. Could use something to prevent slipping.

Pros: Rooms were clean, decent size, very friendly staff
Cons: Beds weren't very comfortable, shower sprayed in every direction, neon lighting around the windows made the rooms very bright while trying to sleep

Pros: Friendly staff, accomodating. We were getting in late and they just told us what our room was and left the key in the door. Settled up in the morning.
Cons: The place is old, but they have tried to maintain it well. Our room smelled bad, the sheets were clean but well worn (beaded). The water coming from the sink was brown until you ran it a bit. I didn't see any bugs but our traveling companions saw roaches when they turned on the lights. Coffee only.
