Location was great.
The view could have been better, ocean front yes but construction right below which was distracting. Asked to be moved to a higher floor still ocean front to limit the construction view, but received a worse view: top of a hotel building had to turn to the far left to see the ocean. The rooms were not as clean as I expected in a newly renovated building.
History, activities, beachfront, atmosphere, beautiful, well kept, friendly helpful staff, lots of shops restaurants and bars within the hotel, walking distance to everything in Coronado.
Expensive. The Del is a super cool historic hotel but it costs an arm and a leg to stay there and you dont get a lot of bang for your buck. The rooms are basic, nothing special. They offer lots of activities but nothing is included, everything costs extra and nothing is reasonably priced. Also there was construction going on during our stay the ocean isnt quite as peaceful with heavy equipment ope...Read more
We loved our upgraded ocean view room.
The jacuzzi was about 85 degrees which was about 1 degree warmer than the pool. This was a huge disappointment since it was cold the day we were there. It really limited the things we would comfortably do with 3 little ones with it being cold.
Beautiful building, tons of history with a location that is second to none! Great places to eat and lounge all within steps of one of the most beautiful beaches in America! Incredible staff, always makes you feel welcome and at home.
Cramped room with “quirky” bathroom, although, some may find it charming. Bed was uncomfortable as it seemed we were sleeping on a decline, we turned around and slept in the opposite direction. I’m sure they would have assisted but it wasn’t a huge issue to just deal with it so we did. Wallpaper was peeling in some parts and just overall looked like it needed some updating. Expectations were VERY ...Read more
We have always wanted to stay here for a romantic getaway
We had to wait for our room
The location was outstanding.
The room wasn't very clean - dusty baseboards and window blinds. It was also pretty loud, with door-slamming making sleep elusive.
The main building is charming, decadent and very unique. You'd be hard pressed to find another beachside resort like the Del
The towers are the opposite: not charming, cheaply built and the polar opposite of the Victorian main. Also, everything was twice the price includes the brunch.
Beautiful location and great food!
We paid for an ocean view and they stuck us on the second floor where our view was the back wall of the pool bathroom and a giant tree. Could barely see the ocean at all.
Always a great staff, beautiful room, all of the history of the Del, and romantic atmosphere.
