The courtyard areas were lovely and the plants were very well maintained.

Cons: The AC was too noisy & I couldn’t sleep, so I kept having to get up, both nights we stayed. I also kept getting lost, I would have more hand painted signs with arrows to specific room numbers. Recovering from surgery, this became quite problematic & hard work. The chairs in the breakfast room were too heavy to move & I’d recommend updating that room, it was very drab.

Cons: The room had steps just as you open the door. And I wasn't told when I got the key. So when I entered the first time it is dark and I am pulling my suitcase... I stumbled and nearly fell to the floor. My suitcase landed with a thud. Luckily I didn't get hurt. The staff should have an escort at check in time for such rooms. I wanted to tell them when I went down, but there was a group checking in. And later on I just didn't remember. Also there was no free drinking water.

Cons: 1. The fruit at breakfast was a bit tasteless, which is surprising given the wonderful fruit that is grown locally. 2. Even our second room wasn't as quiet as we had hoped. We could clearly hear the next door guests in their room and bathroom. Every morning at about 6-7 am we could hear the sound of a motorised lift (or something like that) resonating through the walls and floor.

There is no buffet; the server asks if you would like bread and then he brings you two halves of one slice of bread, then they ask you if you want marmalade with it and they bring you a marmalade in very limited amounts... This sort of approach to breakfast is in very poor taste and screams cheapness, and mind you, it is not particularly a cheap hotel to stay in by any means. Location, though well located, is a bit difficult to access by car

In the warmer months, one would have to rely on the air conditioning to keep flying insects out of the room. Cons: It was a biggish modern hotel which isn't our style but can't complain about that, we knew what we were booking. The only disappointment were the staff when we checked in seemed pretty indifferent Andy that's sort of continued. For that type of hotel I was surprised that none of the staff on the desk wanted to engage. On the other hand the leaning staff were very friendly

Cons: - No parking and hotel personnel not capable of providing helpful information (advised on two parking spaces, both full, right advise would have been to drive by the hotel, leave luggage and the search for another parking spot outside inner city) - Extremely noisy room - we had a room facing the street (we booked a superior room), which was so loud with people yelling in the streets and it felt cats were running right through the room (we were on the first floor); we could not sleep until 2.30am - Breakfast no good choices and not well attended (hot water empty, only one cheese available...) - Worst of all: Uninterested and unfriendly staff - in every hotel staff asks how the stay was upon leaving - not here. When I mentioned the noisy room, no apology, no sorry to hear just: The room is paid already goodbye. For me this is a sign staff does really not care at all about customers.

Pros: Hotel is literally right opposite the entrance to the Mezqita-Catedral. The hotel staff were very helpful and we booked our tour of Medina Al-Zahrah through them. Coincidentally, we stayed on the weekend where their was a festival of the holy weekend and floats with various depictions of Christ were paraded through the streets and into the Mezqita-Catedral. Was very interesting to watch but it was really busy and crowded. Despite this, the crowd was really great and obviously very respectful. We had dinner at the restaurant which was nice. The Paella and pizza were tasty.

Pros: Location was very nice, only a few steps from Train station. The room was very confortable and it had a nice bathtub. I had a silent room with a nice view from Cordoba. Breakfast was nice and they had fruits, Iberico Ham, boiled eggs and fresh orange juice that was a plus to me that have milk intolerance. Unfortunatelly I could not eat all those gorgeous cakes and sweets things, because of the milk's intolerance. Oh, they had Nepresso coffee machine in the breakfast.

Pros: The room was comfortable, spacious. The area surrounding the hotel had pleasant sites and it was in close proximity to the train station which was an added bonus. Breakfast had a good selection of meats, fruits, pastries and cereal. Can't really fault anything with the room, very good for an overnight stay.

Pros: Hotel rooms have no wifi access unless you sit in restroom. Then a very spotty 2or 3 bars. I was trying to modify reservations for next 3 stops on my trip it took significantly longer than expected because of poor wifi.
Rooms are much smaller than expected for a pricey 4 star hotel. The bathrooms are linked in a garish dark green marble with a glass sink and counter. Just seemed very old school.
The bed was not comfortable. But this is very subjective.
The location as was mentioned in several other reviews is questionable. It was 30-45 minute walk to the main tourist sites. That was fine with us since it gives us a chance to explore.

Cons: Fresh towels were not always available. The staff explained the hotel policy was one bath towel per person per day, but somethimes the housekeeper did not change the towels each day. I complained and all I got was a shrug. The air conditioner did not work properly in my room. I complained to the house manager and got the shrug treatment again. The hotel was supposed to have free secure parking according to booking.com's description - it does not as one has to pay 10€ per day for this (reasonable in Cordoba so not the hotel's fault. Beware of promises made on the internet !
