This hotel was HORRIFIC. We checked in - they forced a deposit - never have I been asked for a deposit. They wanted a dog deposit - not a problem $21.06. we got my pup from VA Tech and came back to have a bit to eat, we brought cold cuts to make sandwiches, I moved away from where my sandwich was, turned back to see cockroaches scurrying away from it. The hotel was very dirty with mediocre amenities. The carpet was very dingy and dirty, and the bathroom tile was very dirty as well. The towels were thin and some had tears and stains. However, the staff was nice and helpful.

Pros (+) I needed a basic room that would accept my dog and had a mattress hopefully comfortable enough to sleep on. Pros (+) The service by staff was excellent and they included breakfast with our stay.
Cons (-) The quality of the bed was not up to par with the price for the room. I paid $450 for a two night, weekend stay during the Va Tech spring game weekend. The mattress felt like I was sleeping on springs with a cardboard pillow top. Also, the bathroom tub had the pipes sticking out from against the wall and when I shut the shower off, the pipe moved.

Pros (+) Near highway, basic clean room, quick free breakfast in lobby area, places to eat 5 minutes away,nice polite staff , good price
Cons (-) Mattress was uncomfortable , towels a little sparse but no worst then other hotel for the price point. Heat good but loud snd clanked at times
