Triple room had a wee separate room which was perfect for my son who loved having his own room.
The hotel was dirty and run down. Our room was dirty, although the bed sheets were clean. The breakfast was a disaster. No sugar, dirty glasses, mugs with cracks on them. Really disappointing.
AS A VEGETERIAN THE BREAKFAST CHOICE WAS QUITE GOOD
Room and building shabby
Lovely hotel! Will definitely be staying again next time were in Chester. Went with my partner for a weekend at the zoo and aquarium and there was great access to them from the hotel (bus stop across the road) the shower was amazing! Really good water pressure and the cooked breakfast was good. Rather clean room too!
Room was relatively clean could have done with a bit of an update though. Breakfast , although good, wasn't worth paying for as you get it even if you haven't booked and payed for it (at least for us) I had payed for the breakfast with the booking and was a little disheartened when we sat down for the free breakfast and hot cooked food was brought out without any proof of paying in advance. Obviously not a bad thing technically but as I had already payed I was a little annoyed! The pub next door was a little noisy and the walls were very thin. We had a room next to the reception (501) and could hear every word people said. Maybe not the best place if you like an early night but was nice and quiet by 11pm so fine for us.
The room was dirty, stains up the curtains. Overall smell wasn't very pleasant. Came home covered in bites which I can only presume was from the hotel
