Pros: Hotel was very good. Good location (short and cheap cab ride to downtown area), fantastic service (thank you, Julie and Emily, for making us feel at home), comfortable room, quiet, clean, lovely atmosphere, very good food (breakfast and lunch). We would definitely recommend and go back. We managed to pay for all expenses (tours included) using our international credit cards which is a great plus in China. There is not a mini bar in the room, but the staff kindly accepted to keep my son's medicine in the hotel fridge.

Pros: The hotel is easy to find,I enjoy a good night in Chengdu. It' convenient for people who lived in hotel to find the other sightseeing.

Cons: We had ordered a shuttle to take us from the hotel to the airport and had requested it at a certain time, but the hotel called me and said that our driver had already been waiting for us for over an hour even though our scheduled departure time hadn't past yet. The hotel then said that the driver would leave if we weren't there 15 minutes from then. The lack of organization from the hotel booking our prepaid shuttle and the means by which they went about handling it with us was unappreciated and definitely impacted our impression of this hotel and we don't plan on returning because of it!

Pros: We had a great stay at Travelling with Hotel. Sunny and her colleagues were all very helpful in answering our questions (in English :) and accomodated us by storing our luggage when we left and returned a few days later. The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the basic breakfast that they offered and the cappuccinos we ordered from their coffee counter.

Cons: We could not get into elevator with the sugar and wine conference going on. And there was no designated entrance and elevator for hotel guests. The entire sidewalk to lobby was full of conference goers and marketers. It was very stressful for guests to navigate and our blood pressure instantly went up each time we entered the hotel. Also there was no clear service provided to guests since there were so many people. We had no assistance getting a cab etc. Their rooms were tiny with a very hard beds so we had backaches for two days. Also the conference goers were smoking in rooms and airing them out by leaving their door open. Our non-smoking room smell like smoke at times. Not a great experience.

Pros: the location very near with metro entrance. there are local foot massage that was good only arround the hotel.

Cons: my room on floor 17, carpet near door not that clean. inside is OK. there is local club beside the hotel that music can be hear in the night. but i can still sleep. my partner on 33th floor didnt hear that.

Cons: I was bitten by a mosquito in my room on the 15th floor.

Pros: The night-shift staff member was helpful, despite the fundamental issues at the hostel she was working with. It was pretty cheap. Also, though the location isn't exactly 'central', it is easily accessed by subway (station 5 mins up the road, which goes to the centre), and if you like walking it's even possible to get to central districts of Chengdu.

Cons: Overall, a pretty bad experience. Check-in took 10 minutes and the staff didn't want to communicate in English; they also seemed slightly rude and unwelcoming, despite my positive approach. They also struggled to process my passport details, having to ask me questions such as what type of visa I'm on, and the expiry date. The 10-bed room I was booked for was full - and with a guy snoring like a pig a mere few centimetres from my head, I knew I had to change rooms to get a good night's sleep. Thankfully this process was not too difficult and the staff member helped me to do this. But in my new room the bunk bed shook against the cupboard it was next to every time I moved an inch, making a loud noise. The 100 yuan deposit seemed a bit steep, as did the requirement to make your own bed. In any case the bedding was pretty terrible and hard to fit onto the duvet and mattress, as it was under-sized / badly maintained (i.e. I couldn't do up the duvet sheet, meaning half was open). Also, in my experience the guests there seemed pretty rude (walking around in just underpants, snoring, etc.), but that is just anecdotal, as guests always change of course.

Pros: the location is good, and the staff is friendly. I was told I could order lunch or dinner through the hostel for 20 rmb.

Cons: toilets were not clean. The showers need some fixing. There were four large lockable storing boxes in the dormitory and four smaller ones. I got a small one, enough for my most valuable things. But that box is easy to smash against the floor. There were some which were already smashed.

Cons: My key card wouldn't work after I'd just showered, had towel around me still wet, I asked the Cleaner lady to open the door for me but she clearly had no logic and was very rude. She refused to help me, pointed at the wall and floor speaking Chinese and just walked off. So I had to knock and wake up fellow guests because I didn't want to walk down to reception wet in my towel...
