Cheltenham inns

Pros: All of the staff at the Lamb Inn were so polite, helpful and friendly to everyone they met. The lamb Inn was such a nice place to stay, its in a great location, but most of all, it was the staff that made our stay very memorable, we will certainly be recommending them to our friends and would like to return again at some point in the future. thank you all.

Cons: I cannot think of anything.

Pros: Shower was nice. Some staff members were nice and breakfast was good.

Cons: The price matched our expectations.. unfortunately, the Lamb Inn did not. Rude waitress ruined our meal on the Friday, prompting us to cancel reservation for Saturday. The waitress argued with my wife after she dared to remark that the chicken was a bit dry and insinuating we were trying to get it taken off the bill! I had to go to the bar to get a drink after waiting so long and noticed her and another member of staff stood at the bar checking their phones. Room not clean enough, cobwebs above curtains and blood spots on bathroom door. Our room was next to the entrance of pub where smokers congregate, noisy staff clunking bottles early in the morning. No consideration. We complained to a nice member of staff at the time and were kindly given a bottle of wine and a reduction of the bill when we checked out. A shame. This place promised so much but fell short.

Pros: Hotel Staff are very friendly and Breakfasts were excellent.

Pros: The location was a delight. Hotel meals delicious. Extremely friendly staff. Dog was spoilt to. Will certainly return.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff our room was upgraded upon arrival which blew me away- especially as it was our 40th wedding anniversary idyllic location

Cons: Food a little disappointing as on occasions it was either too cold or over cooked

Cons: Details of interior. Whoever did the wall paint got on lightings. Door stopper in toilet was not straight. Such details. Whoever did the interior didn't care about details. It's sad because the owner has such a good taste of interior design. By the way, when we checked in we were waiting quite long time for the person to show up.

Pros: Excellent, lovely staff, great food, lovely surroundings and superbly comfortable and amenable facilities. Love it and will be back soon!

Pros: Lovely romantic pub, food was perfect and it a quiet sleepy cotswold town. Some of the staff were fantastic some where very vague and not very engaging. The aqua di parma toiletries were amazing.

Cons: They control the temperature of your room which was a sauna in our case and struggled to turn it down all night. Bed was not comfy too hard for us and it was very noisy in the morning. Its a great place but as a stopover 1 night was enough. But the pub food downstairs was great

Pros: South African lady (hostess) was excellent. She was warm, funny and very welcoming.

Cons: Never answered the phone when we tried to call for something. A couple of the younger bar tenders were very rude and impolite. Also room very cramped.

Pros: Fantastic food and atmosphere in a quiet location at the heart of the Cotswolds. Pet friendly which was well received by our dog Fionn who was more than pampered! Staff were friendly and welcoming no throughout our stay.

Pros: The room setting, hardware, service, and especially the food (we had both dinner and breakfast here), all exceed our expectations and we consider this place a great value.

Cons: Location isn’t close by major tourist town in Cotswolds not even near Bourton on the Water but with a car we can easily manage.

Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is great, the food is excellent, and the duty manager upgraded our room to meet our expectation and the staffs are friendly.

Pros: Good choice of breakfast, being able to eat in restaurant rather than pub area

Cons: One of the main lights needs looking at, it flickered constantly so we had to rely on spot lights which were more than enough most of the time. Drinks prices are extortionate, the same drink down the road was about £4 cheaper. I don’t mind extra in the restaurant but the bar was the same price.

Cons: Not very clean, extremely old, low quality rooms and for the amount spent it seemed very low level

Cons: Room 4 is right in the main hallway, so any traffic going to the rooms is very audible

Pros: Location was good - bar area decor looked in keeping with historic building.

Cons: The bedroom corridor was very shabby and unkept - this hotel looks like it hadn’t had any investment in the decor for many years. Not what I expect these days for this price bracket. The breakfast buffet was very basic and not well presented. Cooked breakfast was ok though. The bedrooms feel like they need a good deep clean

Pros: The location is great lots to do and see

Cons: Could do with a bit of a revamp new carpet would be a good start as they are very shabby

Pros: Good breakfast. Room smelt of chlorine which never disappeared. Rom set in separate building which meant a walk in the rain to go for breakfast
