Pros:Check in was smooth and staff was very friendly. Great car that exceeded our expectations. When dropping off the car we left a bag in our car and the staff member we found in his car went out of his way to get us out bag and not miss our flight. A+ operation and will use them again when traveling to Boston.
Pros:We chose to rent from this location rather than the airport, as the cost was just over half, including cab fare to and from the airport. The initial transaction was quick and smooth, the car served us well with no problems, and when we returned the car we were in and out in no time. Great value here!

Pros:The staff in Chelsea were friendly and efficient. It was way cheaper than renting from the airport even though it was convenient to the airport.
Cons:There was a factory recall on our vehicle. We appreciated being informed immediately, however the staff in Pittsfield wasn't nearly as friendly and we ended up with a car not nearly as nice.
Pros:The people who worked with me were so kind and friendly! The warmest and most personable rental car employees I've ever encountered. I was pretty grumpy after travel and navigating rush hour Boston traffic, etc., and they really turned my day around with their enthusiasm and friendliness.

Cons:The gate you access to bring the car back is a little bit confuse because you get the car in the main entrance but you bring it back in another entrance that is around 100 feet before the main entrace.
Pros:The car had great mileage and was very clean.
Cons:The car had a push button to turn on and the key needed to be in the car to turn it on. Unfortunately the battery on the key was not working most of the time and it was annoying.
Pros:Rose, manager that help me during pickup was very nice
Cons:Pickup at the Revere can be inconvenient because is not staff all the time, i had to pick up at the Airport which made me waste time.

Pros:Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Vehicle was very nice and at an affordable rate.
Cons:There were some staffing issues on the return, but nothing unbearable and nothing abnormal in this climate. It was apparent the staff was doing everything they could to help and I appreciated their efforts.

Pros:They gave me a car that broke down half way to destination. They then hung up on me twice after I was trying to tell them the car wasn’t working. On the third call, they basically had no idea what to do and finally figured they needed to call a tow truck. But now I was being told I had to come back with the car in the tow truck. Meaning I had to wait up 90 minutes for the tow to arrive, and then ride an hour back to Boston, pick up a new car and drive another 2 hours to where I was going. The car battery died at some point during all this and it was below freezing. I asked at least two employees if I could leave the car where it was at with the keys inside, so that I could head to another rental agency and just move on from there, and both said yes. I then get a phone call from a number that’s not even associated with silvercar saying that if I leave the car before the tow arrives I’m responsible to anything that happens to it. At that point I was already in an Uber on the way to an airport car rental. They had no idea what they telling me. They eventually got the car back. And I don’t know how, but they were going to charge me 4 times more than what I agreed to, because the guy at check out kept accidentally updating my reservation and adding more days to my reservation. That probably wouldn’t happen anywhere else, because this place is trying do all their business through smart phones. They are at least reimbursing me. And whoever the female worker was on Sunday during the whole situation was totally rude.
Cons:Basically everything. I’m sure it’s fine if your rental car doesn’t break down, but if it does it’s a nightmare.
Pros:NOTHING!!!!! I sent a text to the number to have my car brought to me. I was informed they weren't taking 3rd party reservations and that it didn't matter that I had a confirmation number. The person on the other end was less than friendly and was sarcastic. I did receive several "We apologize for the inconvenience". My reply was "An inconvenience is me having to wait 15 minutes for my car to arrive" to which they replied "well have a nice day" Which I replied with an angry emoji and let them know I was given the a poor review and would NEVER use them again!
Cons:EVERYTHING! An actual car when I arrived, you know, the one I reserved! The fact that this company could've cared less about me being stranded in Boston with no means to get to my destination. This is poor customer service on steroids. I rent a car just about every week for my work since I'm constantly traveling. Hertz made the mistake of giving away my rental because I was 30 minutes later than I had said I would be (my plane was delayed). It was spring break and they could charge another customer more. I have never rented another vehicle from them or their affiliates. That was almost a year ago. I have now placed Silvercar on this boycott list. Thank you AVIS for coming to my aid and helping me get to my destination. Not only did they have a similar vehicle, but when I explained what happened, THEY honored Silvercar's price! THAT's customer service!!!
