My experience with enterprise car rental was excellent except for one issue enterprise Rent-A-Car in Wesley Rhode Island did not have what I needed so I had to go to Old Saybrook in Connecticut for the vehicle I needed that was the only hiccup other than that everything was perfect

Pros:

Staff was friendly, helpful and proactive. Thumbs up for this crew working at this location.

Cons:

I understand about not letting people go inside due to pandemic issues. But please find a way to accommodate customers while waiting outside without having to be exposed to sun and rain. There must be a better way to operate. I also fell bad for these young staff working under these poor conditions. This is purely a top management responsibility.

Pros:

I had a reservation for 6pm. I called to let them know I was on my way. They said we close at 6pm. I said how was I able to make a reservation for 6pm of you close at 6pm. He said "how far are you?" I will wait, When we got there we called, no answer and the door was locked.

Cons:

If he was nor planning on waiting for us then he should have said that on the phone and not made us waste or time.

Pros:

The rental car was a perfect choice.

Cons:

Dropping off of the vehicle was not what I have experienced with other rentals. The lady at the pick-up and drop off was not the most helpful at all. Could have assisted me in a better way and also when I called the 1-800 number agent could have been a better representative of your company. With out going into this further I probably will select a different company.

Premium SUV

KAYAK
Kayak is showing the incorrect pickup location. So when we booked we have kayak emails confirming one pickup location but then received emails from Avis showing a different location. It ended up being about a 45 minute difference. Avis advised the location on Kayak is no longer open. Also, we received a call 2 days before from Avis confirming if we needed the rental, but then advising they may not have the car available. Because we were traveling with 3 small children we needed that specific car. They offered to give us 2 cars for the same price which was not the right solution for us. This caused tons of unnecessary stress. Although, they made it right in the end and we got the car we reserved, they really didn’t need to communicate that they may not have the car until they really didn’t have the car.
