The hertz location wasn’t even open! They apparently aren’t open sat-Sunday, which makes no sense! How come I was able to book a rental for a location that wasn’t open…? When called they asked if we could *drive* 4 hours away to pick up a car… no I can’t, that’s why I needed a rental car. Terrible service. Had to go to enterprise instead and spend double the $ for same day rental….

Everything worked out great. However I was concerned what vehicle I would be renting . Called 2 days prior but iwas not guaranteed a mini van which was crucial. Told that I would not know until I picked up car!

You idiots! The rental was cancelled 5 minutes after it was made. There was no rental event. Why don't you know that? You have no back-feed from Hertz to your system?? I got notices from you that my car was ready, which was totally wrong and made me have to contact Hertz again. So much for using cheapflights again.Cheapflights could have done their job and understood the situation.

When I arrived for pickup there was a sign on the door saying the office was closed and to drive to the airport an hour away for my vehicle. The confirmation email never said anything. No call from the office to say anything had changed. After a two hour drive and then 2 hours on the phone to talk to a human being to try to get some sort of refund I was unsuccessful because I had "prepaid" the reservation. Any other company would have been able to credit my account with some sort of refund to accommodate the inconvenience. Nope, not Hertz. A gift voucher was all that they would offer. Not sure I will use Hertz again even with a $50 voucher. Very poor communication

A cleaner car would have been appreciated , considering how Hertz is promising "Every vehicle will be sealed and certified ‘Hertz Gold Standard Clean’ after undergoing a 15-point cleaning and sanitization process that follows U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines." Interior was dirty, the back of car covered in bird droppings. Very obvious this vehicle was never touched after last rental.

Both Ellen and George were super friendly and helpful on the phone. Ellen was totally awesome when i arrived (finally) to get the car. Very quick and easy pick up. Very accommadating. The car was imaculate.nothing.... drop off easy - asking for the return milage was a little "frustrating" as i had NO idea... but because Ellen was so awesome - i just noted i did not know and feel very confident that is ok

Try actually telling the renter about the $200 security deposit!!! I had a priceline.com reservation with no mention of it! Then low and behold it caused an overdraft 3 dang times in my bank acct! 3 $28 insufficient funds fees! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The staff was very helpful. Z in Queens was particularly nice and made our drop off quick easy and something we will do again.We wanted to drive from our upstate home to JFK and it was an economic and convenient option. It was exactly what we wanted and at a great price too.

Staff was friendlyVehicle smelled like smoke. We were able to get rid of it by using Febreeze
