Pros:

Yes staff was great. Drop off OK, although when the fourth floor drop off is closed and you have t o go around the airport again to get to the third floor drop off, they should put a sign advising you of this BEFORE you go up to the 4th floor! Otherwise, a piece of cake.

Cons:

Post a sign at FLL advising NOT to go to the 4th floor when that location is closed, necessitating another loop around the airport.

Pros:

Awesome vehicle. It was weird when starting because you did not hear the car start. pushed the start button several times but it was already started based on the lighted dial P R N D. Also sounded like the engine knocked out when idling but was still on.

The car and pick up process was excellent. Trying to contact customer service when I had a question was a nightmare. I played serial phone prompts for one hour.

I did not end up renting from Payless rental because the lack of car selection. I reserved a SUV class & when I got their to pick it up it was a crossover. That was the only car available. That did not fit us for our needs so we decided to go with a different rental company. Rental car companies should be more transparent, this will save time & money because the renter's know exactly what they are getting. The customer service at Payless wasn't great either & also played a part in the decision not to use them.

I was scheduled to have a regular size sedan. However, received a mini van upon arrival. Was suggested that I could wait for a sedan if / when one was going to be returned that same day.

I think the only downfall is that the rental car agency should stay open later or be 24 hours since the Amtrak runs 24 hous.

They overcharged me and the workers literally had no idea what they're doing ( the Hertz location was inside PepBoys) I was even sent to the car to do the odometer reading and gas level!! Never ever rent from Hertz

Our reservation was not available and I did not get a car the day I needed one. I spent three hours running around between two Hertz locations and on the phone with Hertz and Priceline. No one could help. I ended up with a smaller car and paid a higher rate at the counter. It is impossible to get someone from Hertz on the phone. When I finally connected with customer service, I was told there is something wrong with the reservation because it came from a third party site. Hertz would not honor the price I reserved through Kayak, did not have a car for me, and really didn’t care what that meant for our family vacation.
