The return time was not the same as what was given by the agency that I made the reservation through, it should have been consistent, however I had to return it two hours earlier!

Everything went very smoothly and I saved quite a bit booking through Kayak and picking up the car at a location away from the airport. I really liked the feature of prepaying for the gas so I didn't have to deal with that before dropping off the car. That's always such a pain. Plus they price it so it's even cheaper than buying the gas yourself. Drop off was super easy.

Being forewarned that the pick-up site was SO FAR AWAY from the airport! They need to offer a free shuttle from the airport. We really got jerked around. Then Hertz charged us for an entire 6 days longer than we used the car.

NAI booked at airport and got a in town pickup. Car Rentas said they book at lowest rate in market. I was never informed and was unable to cancel

The staff was helpful but hurried. The car was really inexpensive, which was why I went with Hertz for the first time.The car was somewhat vacuumed on the inside, quite dirty on the outside, with leaves sticking out from under the hood. It was Christmas Eve and they wanted to close early, so they rushed the car up and didn't check it over for scratches or properly record the gas tank level. It was full, but the paperwork said 2/8. Even though it was the end of December, the windshield washer fluid was the summer kind, so it made a useless blue slushy on my windshield. It was almost due for an oil change when I started out. The last day, the cruise control died, the check engine light came on, and it started shaking all over. It was a new Malibu, so I don't know what was with that. Other than that, the car ran well.

Car was clean & comfortableI accidentally booked the wrong pickup/drop off location due to a death in the family. I asked Hertz to change the booking once I arrived. They said because I prepaid that I didn’t have that option. I told them I would be willing to pay the change fee but again told I didn’t have that option. I had to take an Uber to the correct location. I called the corporate office with no help! I was VERY disappointed in Hertz! Luckily on the return trip they did have someone to take me to the airport but I was told that might not be available either.

Bad Review for HertzThe only thing I like was the fact the car got 45mpg.First Hertz said we gave your car away along with being very nasty after that, they kept saying it was my fault. The part I really didn't understand was I paid in advance. Why would you think I was not going to show up. Then he came back and said I can hey you another one in about four hours from now. It was a good thing I waited around, someone else came in early with the car I left with. Bad thing was someone smoked in the car and they tried to cover the smell up. Which I just got reamed not to do but I really need a car. Next the seat belt warning was broken, I couldn't have water bottle in the passenger seat without having the seat belt alarm sound continuously. Lastly it's a great thing I can see thru a blurred windshield, the windshield wipers didn't work.
