10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was pleasant and helpful
7,5 Good
Pros: The location was convenient, close to the freeway but far enough away as to not get traffic noise. Breakfast was just ok.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts are nice. Clear step up from donuts and coffee. Usual cold and warm fare everyday: eggs, toast, cereal, hotel waffles. What makes this place nice is things vary too. One morning was pulled pork and tortillas--never seen that as a breakfast option before. Close access to freeways, local mall, and other big box type store shopping. I've stayed here before and would choose again.
Cons: The only downside is that it is part of a hotel row along freeway. Area is safe to walk but not the prettiest. However, that is typical of easy freeway access.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed seemed soft, but it was very comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfast room was spacious and very nice. Beautiful woodwork and the meal was delicious.
Cons: I thought that the feathers or batting in the comforter wasn't distributed throughout each quilted square and thought that it wouldn't be warm, but it was.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I did not like how the cleaning staff would try to push the laundry cart while actively on a cell phone call. It was more than once. One young lady had the elevator tied up trying to maneuver the cart, keep the elevator open while trying to converse.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the popcorn and cookies! Nice and clean.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff made my stay a five star trip. I was able to check in early and be accommodated in a way that made me feel special and at home.
Cons: No
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We had stayed here before and so chose to return. Not far off the expressway, close to lots of restaurants, shopping and gas stations. Fairly quiet. Couch and chair in the room so you don't have to lay on the bed to watch TV. Good breakfast with choices.
Cons: Not sure what is going on with hotels, but there was not extra toilet paper. Only 1/2 roll in the room for two adults. We stayed at the beginning and end of trip and there were no tissues on 1st night, but there were on our return trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This Country Inn & Suites makes me never want to go to another hotel chain. It was so clean and friendly! The linens are so soft and cozy, the pillows and bedding super comfy. Breakfast had anything you'd want (waffles, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, variety of breads & cereals, fruit, etc.) A really special little touch that warmed my heart (as a mom of a veteran) is that there's a little box in the first floor lounge with note paper, pen, and a box to "mail" a personal note of thanks or support to military personnel. It was great all around & Country Inn & Suites will be my "first go to" whenever looking for hotels in the future.
6,7 Good
Pros: Easy to access and parking.
Cons: I stayed in the same hotel in July and room rate was $89/night. My most recent stay at same location was $255/night.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good bed
Cons: Stained carpet

Pros: Very inviting.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything exceeded out expectations!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed
Cons: No
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff I met were very helpful, cheerful and chatty. The kitchen area is stocked with dishes, the AC worked beautifully, despite it being Feburary (I like to sleep in a cold room), and there were plenty of pillows in varying densities and lovely, soft extra blankets. Plenty of hot water, nice shower head, ideal water pressure. There's an Espresso Royal ~400' away and a Walgreens next door.
Cons: The elevator was out (the doors were being painted? And I couldn't find a person or sign to direct me to a working elevator -- probably because we checked in at 11pm -- so we just kept walking until we found one. The walls are a bit thin in this place, the windows do not open and I wish I'd gotten a room with a tub instead of a shower, but that's not a big deal for a one-night stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing. Happy hours
Cons: No much variety in breakfast

Cons: Upon checking in, the lady at the counter stated that there is a $125 fee for pets!!!! their ad states it is a pet friendly hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: I found the previous guest's dirty sock in the bed when we turned down the sheets.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large, clean and nicely furnished.
Cons: We encountered a small puddle of water inside our room (102) just inside the door. We soaked up the water, but the puddle began to return. It turned out to be the result of a leak in the kitchen.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: My so had his 14th birthday part at the hotel so he, had a couple friends come and swim, pool was ok he enjoyed himself, only downfall was there was alot of kids jumping in and out causing alot of water to build up on the walk way almost fell a couple times, conversation area was excellent was a great place to gather with friends for food and cake.
Cons: The first lady was checking in was very polite, but I say maybe a couple hours later, her coworker that came in was a different story, I overheard her making rude comments about why would I let my kids walk through the lobby with wet feet now she had to mop it up, I went to the lobby to ask if there was any towels, it's his birthday he was a little excited so he run out without out properly drying off, she could have politely asked my son to go back to the pool area or wait on the carpet, not make rude comments under her breath, but like I said in my previous comment there was a lot of water built up so you were going to track water no matter what, but I'm not going to give a bad review for one rude employee

1,0 Poor
Pros: The staff was very friendly
Cons: At check in, we were given keys to a room where some one else was staying. The key worked & we saw the other guests clothing & personal items and left. Our bathroom was gross, you could see dirt/grime on the floors. The pool was also dirty & had no towels

Cons: Can't think of anything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service. Good breakfast. Room layout was very comfortable. Hotel was very clean.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good and the facility was excellent. The room is laid out nicely and a great addition is the smart TV that lets you use your accounts like Netflix while traveling.
Cons: The only thing that was not as good was the pool. For some reason maybe the exhaust fan was broken but the enclosed pool was way too hot. I couldn't even stay there with my daughter. She still swam and I went outside into the courtyard. Other parents also thought it was hot. The door was propped open but that was not enough. I never heard why or if they tried to fix it.

Pros: It was near the shopping mall.
Cons: We stayed 2 nights and our room wasn't cleaned after the first night. We had to call for new towels and after a long wait, they brought them but didn't remove the old ones. We also paid for the breakfast option but there was no breakfast offered. The staff didn't seem that interested in resolving these issues. Also the image on the tv kept freezing and was limited for movies, etc. This felt more like an $80/night hotel, not the $150 we paid.

Pros: location
Cons: Room had 2 tiny double beds (if even double), no roller for the toilet paper in the bathroom, air conditioning had to be set at 55degrees to get any cooling. The next night we had room at Ramada Renaissance for $7 more. Definitely not good value.

Pros: They are working with an old building that needs a deep cleaning I think they’re doing the best they can with what they have everybody was extremely friendly the value not so good but nowadays I guess you just get what you get for $107 just seems like a lot of money to spend for one night in less than exceptional motel!! Everyone was so friendly it made up for it. And they did not charge me extra for my three little dogs which I might say are better and cleaner than most kids.
Cons: The motel needs a deep cleaning the walls are dirty back behind the bed is dirty mold on the ice machine you can see there has been no attention made and it’s old. The outside grounds need attention certainly not worth $95 plus tax license and destination fee but again the staff made up for it all very friendly!!

Cons: I showed up to this hotel in the middle of the night to the non-descript front door, to find myself unsure of how to enter in the first place. I picked up the house phone on the wall opposite the closed front desk window only to find the voice of an extremely unhelpful staff member who proceeded to tell me OVER THE PHONE that my reservation had been cancelled and that I'D RECEIVED AN EMAIL ABOUT IT - which I HAD NOT. He made no apology and simply explained that the hotel had been overbooked and that I had been emailed about this and that there was nothing he could do. After some complaining and coaxing from me the best I got out of him was that I could try this one hotel down the street and then send him the cost difference in the room and they'd pay the difference. How a hotel can allow itself to overbook is completely beyond me in the first place. I had arrived late to be at a conference in the morning in 7 hours, only to find myself bedless for the night. I would only be in Illinois for less than 24 hours, and needed a place. This hotel let me down tremendously, and then I received no sympathy and very little accountability - and that only from one person who was on the premises and yet still did not show his face to me, and would reluctantly offer me an sub-par solution at my urging. Then when I called a couple of different corporate numbers about it, I received from one person an excuse about how she worked at the office and only handled a certain type of affairs (I don't remember which). She connected to a number for a person who wouldn't be available until after the weekend, so I left a message. I tried a different number and sorted through automated systems that ultimately led me to the same end. By this point, I'd made my way in the car to the hotel a few miles away who did a marvelous job taking care of me and even selflessly waived my fees and said they would take it up with Value Place Champaign themselves. I ended up with 4.5 hours of sleep going into my conference and will be a faithful customer of this other hotel if ever I return to Champaign/Urbana. I never received a follow-up phone call from either of the messages I left that Friday night. I will never stay at a Value Place Hotel.

Pros: Front desk staff were helpful. Bed comfort was ok.
Cons: Non-smoking room stank of smoke. Limited amenities - no coffee, shampoo, conditioner.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Quick check-in and free wifi on 1st night
Cons: The room had a smell, broken bathroom light and toilet is clunky. At about 3am I heard some loud music and at first I thought it was the room next door or above, then I noticed it was someone outside my window playing his music. I talked to the help desk and they were not eager to do anything with it. I would not stay at this place again, there are other options available.
