Pros: The hotel is located in a wonderful place in the town center, facilities are great as the hotel is newly renovated, staff is very friendly and gave us all the necessary support. The spa is very nice, restaurant in the hotel is pricy but the food is very good and the ambient is very relaxed and cozy.
Cons: The hotel has a wonderful spa (Clarins) and advertises massages and treatments eg facial as being available. We booked the hotel last minute however we would have expected that we could have enjoyed massages and treatments as per hotel internet site. unfortunately we found out that the massages and treatments are open to everyone (not just hotel guests) and to book them you need to do that far in advance (which of course is not ideal when u want a last minute escape weekend). Hence recommendation is to book in advance the massage / treatment you may want, or forget it. It is also fair to say that the hotel staff really tried hard to support and found a solution for a treatment in an outside salon.

Pros: Staff were friendly and accomodating and professional. The pool area in the garden retreat is perfectly manicured and the centerpiece of the hotel. It has wet and dry sauna, outdoor pool and spa and is surrounded with a variety of beautiful flowers and trees. Perfect retreat. The breakfast room, breakfast and staff was excellent by comparison to most European hotels. It is 4 to 5 star.

Cons: Quite a walk from the centre and the ski lifts. On our last day we checked out in the morning and explained to the receptionist that we would need to use their shower by the outdoor saunas in the afternoon before our journey back home. When we arrived back at the hotel to get showered after skiing the shower was freezing cold despite our numerous attempts to get it hot. We asked the receptionist if there was another room we could use as the shower was freezing but they said the hotel was full and were quite dismissive of our situation. It was a shame because everything up until that point had been great and it wasn’t the kind of service that you’d expect from a 4 star hotel, we understand that sometimes these things can happen but it was the dismissive attitude that let down the overall experience

Cons: My teenage son was not happy with the sofa bed bedroom where the only privacy was a sliding door. I think the pictures and description indicated it would be two bedroom but the sliding wall/door wasn’t really what I’d call private. If I’d known this I probably would’ve chosen an additional room. Also, only a towel rail in room. Not sure where to dry ski gear in preparation for the next day.

Pros: Our room was ready early (at 12 noon). Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Hotel has its own bus to the ski resorts which is a super perk. We skied on the last day and were provided with a change room, shower and access to the spa. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: Small rooms (only family room is a bit bigger), some staff (not all) rude and totally not interested in making your stay more comfortable, totally unflexible about check-out time even if you have a baby (they need 4h to clean a super small room), not the best location (you have to take the bus to the slopes and there are only 2 per day directly from the hotel), restaurant opens only for dinner at 19h and there's no place for all the guests of the hotel so if you haven't booked in advance "we're sorry", in the ski room there's no lockers available to all the guests (first come first served), poor room service..

Pros: The hotel is new, rooms are cozy and bathrooms are new and well decorated. The location is nice if you want to spend a weekend in Chamonix. Staff overall polite.
Cons: It feels like the management of this hotel doesn’t take care of things. The elevator was 3 days without light and they didn’t even care to put a torch or temporary light for safety reasons. The cleaning lady cleaned out room at 3.30pm while we wanted to rest! The spa had an empty bar where it was supposed to have tea to relax. The room had no mini bar and it was very hot- they was no air con. We were thirsty the whole time and when we went to the bar downstairs we had to wait for long to ask for a glass of water. It is the typical case where you see that the owner invested money for the infrastructure but the management is very poor. The hotel price was TOO expensive for low season so obviously the expectation was equivalent.

Cons: Too many loud children in the spa: this is not a swimming pool but a spa! Payment process cumbersome : mistakes. Misleading info on nearest ski slopes: aiguille du midi is indeed only 100 m away from the hotel, but is only for skying off piste. Ski slopes are bus drives (up to 1 h) away!

Even breakfast at the hotel was a culinary experience with locally produced jams, phenomenal eggs/meats. Deserts were world class. Chamonix is a very walkable town with many shops and restaurants but the shops close early (most by 7 or 8) so visit them before you dine. We found the prices to be very reasonable for a resort town.

Pros: Super-friendly and helpful staff really made our stay a delight. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are charming and spacious (we had a superior double with a generous balcony overlooking the Arve river), breakfast was good value for money and the afternoon tea and cakes offered each day was a bonus after a day of skiing. There is a sauna and fitness room, a games room and a very inviting open fire.

Pros: Super-friendly and helpful staff really made our stay a delight. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are charming and spacious (we had a superior double with a generous balcony overlooking the Arve river), breakfast was good value for money and the afternoon tea and cakes offered each day was a bonus after a day of skiing. There is a sauna and fitness room, a games room and a very inviting open fire.

She was incredibly rude and aggressive toward my group for bringing their skis and ski boots inside the hotel (owned kit so didn’t want to risk leaving it in an easily accessible locker room/it’s extremely hot there so heat moulded boots stand no chance!

Cons: For a room described as a superior triple it was fairly basic. The pool though heated, was actually too cold to stay in for more than a couple of minutes, and there was no drying room, which was something we desperately missed when the first day skiing ended in rain and we had no dry coats to go out in the evening.

Cons: There was planned snow clearing work in the car park starting at 5 am. I had specifically ticked the 'Parking' box when searching for a hotel. But when we arrived... we were informed that we needed to find a random spot somewhere else in the village to park that night to avoid the van being towed away. We didn't know the area and took a risk parking about ten minutes walk away. Took us over half an hour to pull off the side of the road as the snow had compressed on the way in and frozen over night. Yeah, I know we didn't bother packing snow chains for 2 days in Chamonix, so you could argue it was our fault for that part... But I would have simply stayed in a different hotel had I known they would shut their car park for our first night. :(

Cons: The bedrooms don't look like they do on the website. My bedroom window didn't open at all so the room was constantly like a sauna (although the radiator was off). I asked for a twin room and the beds were put as a double bed which was quite frustrating. The bathroom was just a wet room with a shower curtain that stuck to you and made the rest of the bathroom wet through!

Cons: Our room, in the annexe across the road, was oddly shaped with inadequate storage and a minimalist shower room. The plastic floorboards were not very pleasant to walk on but they were not slippery. If you could get into the shower, squeezing through the gap between the glass wall and the tiled wall (not too difficult for the slim and fit, but hard for an older man with a bad back) the floor was incredibly slippery and dangerous. There were no grab rails or non stick mats (which are horrible, but in this case we needed one) so this shower was inappropriate for all ages. We asked for more hangers which made the storage less awkward (brought very quickly by a cheerful and helpful member of staff) but cannot think how we would have managed if we had booked the room for a week's skiing instead of a weekend wedding. Accor should design their accommodation better than this: it was uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. The bed was good, though, as were the windows and the heating.
