8,0 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained historical building and interior with late medieval style, great location in town center, room view of river and town
Cons: the cleanness of bathroom could be improved
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great property and lovely staff. It is important when considering the heart of the old town that it is restricted for access within certain hours. This hotel make arrival and departure very easy as it is situated at the entry point of the old town.
Cons: There were a few large tour groups checking in, but this is due to the size of the hotel. Once you get to your room you do feel like it is an authentic hotel for where you are.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: In Cesky Krumlov, it can be hard to locate your hotel. The Ruze Hotel has parking nearby, but we didn't see it and got trapped into parking miles away with cobblestones to travel. The hotel manager fixed our problem. I enjoyed the pretty little pool. I wish we had two mornings, because then we could have also have had the delicious made to order omelet-We had a delicious French style pancake. We were out-of-season, or I am sure the cost of the hotel would have been beyond our budget.
Cons: Not much, although we had a difficulty communicating at first.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location is great, but Krumlov is very small. Breakfast is good, wide choice from eggs to Jogurt and Asian soup ... Nice staff Parking is suitable for big car
Cons: I never ever choose it for our next trip to Krumlov. And I never ever recommend it to my friends.... - photos on the web and booking.com are far from the reality. We have 3 rooms, they were small, look ugly without textile and with very small windows. Less of day light due to small window, less of light in the evening due to strange old lamps on the ceiling... Additionally, our rooms were under the roof and that means that the normal size of room were less for the same price... we were told that hotel has better rooms, maybe.. anyway you are not on the safe side while you are less of truly information -Your expect to meet something with patina of ages, nice and cozy because you book a castle hotel, looking so fantastic and impressive on photos. Finally you meet white paint walls and dark wooden pieces of furniture some of which are very old and damaged. - Wooden floor was raw , so it was with splinters. Very unpleasant view and feelings ... - the view of bathrooms were different that on the web, they was like a nightmare from 70th... grey tiles, not old enough to be called antic but definitely ugly to like it .. - very small bathtubs , that is strange, because of a large size of bathrooms ... no bath curtains in 2 of 3 of our bathrooms, very unpleasant to be the second who come in , because everything around you is wet . And again web exposes to you another bathrooms. - seat to lavatory pan is covered with wooden look film that peeled of partly... unsightly ... - Restaurant also looks different... breakfast was fine, but , please, avoid to spend there evening. Standard meal, nothing special, one dish from 4 was absolutely cold. Waiting time was 40 minutes. We were given a discount, thank you... - bed in one room was damaged, totally. We asked to fix it. Staff of the hotel was very nice to give us another room. But that situation only confirm that the stuff are old and uncared-for properly. I have photos of everything I have commented.

Pros: The location is good . Staff is super friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very good, quiet room. And a sauna, which was fantastic
7,0 Good
Pros: Very good location near the center, everything reachable by foot in a few minutes. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast with everything you need. Staff was also very friendly. Parking is available 5 minutes away by foot and costs 350 czk per day.
Cons: Bathroom did not look like the one promoted at all. Rooms are very noisy. Double-bed was two single beds with a big gap inbetween, which was uncomfortable.
4,0 Okay
Cons: 1. I ordered one queen bed, and got the email confirmation about it. However, at the end I got two single beds. Furthermore, when taking a shower every time, the bathroom got flooded because the sink was stuck. It took long time for the water to get through. 2. I also didn't quite like the staff being reluctant to help when some other guests mentioned the lost some money (quite an amount) 3. City tax was charged at checkout while we didn't got informed that this amount had to be paid, although it's a small amount. The hotel should have been clearer. We paid the hotel costs online before checkin, but it was very inconvenient that there was more to pay since we nearly had no CZK left.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great boutique hotel in the centre of town. Beautiful old building, friendly staff and great breakfast. The hotel was very cosy on a cold winter day. Highly recommend when in Cesky Krumlov!
Cons: You had to pay for 'rent' a kettle for tea and coffee. This would have been a great addition to the room and was a bit frustrating.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the beautiful and cute village town Chesky Krumlov and the hotel was as cute as whole atmosphere there. It was located at the entrance of the village so the access to the public car parking was fine than we worried. The receptionists were very friendly and while the booking.com was not properly showing their price for 4 guests, they kindly arranged it in the way that we did not have to pay extra unexpectedly. The breakfast area was bright and nicely renovated. The breakfast was nice and had good selection. We had tried the restaurant next door, the course menu was little too much for us but service was great and friendly.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable but it was within expectation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Český Krumlov, with a taste of a medieval lodge. The room was very clean and there was a lot of space for our luggage. We stayed in a room with a view of the inner garden, and the noise insulation was excellent. The breakfast was really good, with the local Bohemian products, everything was so tasty! The staff was very welcoming and helpful! The restaurant Le Jardin is a must, very comfortable and elegant, and a refined menu, although not so expensive. I highly recommend this hotel for couples in a romantic trip.

7,0 Good
Pros: The receptionist was very friendly and helpfull. The place on the main square is great. We had a cute room with an amazing view and a cute teracce.
Cons: The parking is very bad. You can not park near the hotel. The parkplace is quite wait (700 meters). Hotel requires money for parking and extra money for a ticket allowing entrance in the centrum (to load your luggage). Such kind of ticket should be in price of 4 stars hotel!!! The breakfast was ok, but not for 4 stars hotel. The room was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom is extremely small. For us it was usefull, but we are not very big persons :) The entrance card for our hotel room did not work very often. We had to run three stairs up and down again and again (there is no lift) and the receptionist had to repait it. The TV did not work. The terrace should have some sun/rain blind, because it is a pitty, if you cannot sit there in a bit rainy or very sunny weather. All the hotel was ok, but for 4 stars they need to do a bit progress.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: the wifi in room is very very bad
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Just one issue: shower hose is too short to take a shower. It was pretty strange because all other things were designed very well.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Centrally located
Cons: The manager of the property was a very rude man , And I believe a racist at heart as he seemed very reluctant to be hospitable towards his Asian guests . Firstly our booking was for a sister property of theirs just down the street , the hotel emailed us saying they were upgrading us in the main building to a junior suite ( only when we reached there , did we find out the sister property was closed and hence they decided to ‘upgrade ‘ us ) Lying to international guests sure does not behove to a great start , right so at the time of check in the so called junior suite was on the 3rd floor of the back wing with no views whatsoever and walled in from all sides , when we told the manager to show us other options he was most reluctant & rude , finally after much argument he shifted to us to the first floor of the other wing , to a room much lower than the one we had booked . We ended up paying 200 euros for 120 euro type room . ( In the middle of winter their shower faucet was broken with no sense of mix of hot & cold water , it was either too hot or too cold ) However the rest of the staff were very nice and helpful including helping us to warm some late night pizza etc . I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cesky Krumlov, specially Asians. You don’t want to go on a holiday and made to feel so unwanted and neglected - when the ONLY job of a hotel is to make you feel otherwise! We even tried to ask him his name - to which he replied saying “I do not wish to give my name”. He knew I would write a scathing review and hence refrained from telling us his name. However, we did manage to take a picture of him so that people henceforth travelling to the property - are awake what to expect from him. The picture is posted with this review. I have been left scarred for the first time in my life - and I have travelled a LOT across the world (mainly using booking.com) for the last 10 years.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view from the room, big and spacious room. What we liked, that family room had two separate beds and one big bed. Hotel has parking ca 10min walk from hotel, which costs extra.
Cons: Shower, it's very low so you have to sit in the bathtub to have a shower.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are nice and location is really good.
Cons: No elevator but it seems it’s difficult to find a space to install an elevator.

Cons: When we first arrived, at approx 1 p.m., we were rather rudely told we were too early and to go away! No welcome or assistance. We were quite shocked and frustrated. Later staff were much better and more helpful. Overall, staff were great but first impression was really disappointing!

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location for exploring this beautiful town. Very modern and clean. Beautiful interior decor.
Cons: I booked and paid the same amount for 2 rooms, one as a twin. The difference in the size of the rooms was quite significant. My husband & I were in a room that we struggled to fit our 2 suitcases in. However our teenage children, in the twin room, had a significantly larger room. Both had the same view over the town square. Maybe consider this when booking as we found our room size very small.

Pros: We chose to stay at the Luxury Apartment located opposite to the hotel. The room is gorgeous. It is large with plenty of storage. The washroom allows one to enjoy a deep bath. The only cons is the pillow is too soft!
Cons: The staff at the reception failed to provide any answer to all my questions about the scenic spots but just asked me to go to the information centre. It seems that all reception staff did not know how to smile but only showed black/stern faces to us. The breakfast has few choice and it is surprised that staff stopped to refill the limited food 45 minutes before the close of breakfast time. As a luxury apartment client, we deserved much more good service other than the room!

Pros: Location , furniture of dining room ...but not else
Cons: Extremely bad reception desk service , arrogant persons. We paid a double room and we got double room but 2 single bed in attic area with gallery. ( 60 steps to room located under the roof ) This a 4 star hotel as showed on website and pictures but no public elevator , no AC , no help to take the luggages to the room to the 3 rd floor level stage into attic room. Size of room is small and the furnitures are far from the 4 star level. Dirty carpet The pillows are weared out ... Now view from the room , roof windows installed , the chimneys can be seen and the smell of baking of baon can be enjoyed in the morning time .... I have asked another room but answer was in polite at the reception desk , "No other room" However we prepaid the room, 130 Euro per night and we got an accommodation on the "second class building". I am absolutely disappointed with the customer service, and arrogant managing the guests and claims. Next day the arronangcy continued, it was answered that there another 3 available roöm but on same floor level in attic area, on 3 rd floor level... I would not recommend to anybody to come to this hotel. I visited many countries, but such kind of arrogant and unfriendly , poor front desk service and bad quality of room could not be seen all over the word in 4 star hotel. I would never ever again to come here. No change the bed cloth within 4 days and only once were replaced the towels . Limited space in breakfast room. and the selection of breakfast is under the expectation even according to the 4 star room. Only the check out was acceptable. I sent e mail to frt desk manager , on first day , but no answer , no reaction , only negative discrimination while last breakfast. I registered my car before arrival to have the parking place of the hotel what is cca 400 meters from the hotel, but I did find a notice that I am parking illegally however I paid the parking fee while checking out.

The hotel building, built in Gothic style in the 14th century, used to be one of the largest buildings in the town. Despite the restoration and modernisation of the interior, the hotel has kept its historic ambience intact. The Hotel Arcadie offers accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location. Pros: Location is near from bus station

Pros: The receptionist was extremely helpful. We arrived after a car journey where my son was sick and she helped with giving us some washing powder so we could wash his clothes. Very thankful for that!
Cons: Eggs at breakfast could have been a bit fresher. They were a bit dried out when we arrived at 9am.

Pros: Great location. Good value.
Cons: Non working bathtub. Non working hairdryer.

Pros: Great little hotel at a perfect location. The staff was very nice and helped with anything we asked.
Cons: /
7,1 Good
Pros: It is in the CK town. And the location is good. You can just walk about 10mintues from bus station. There has the stone road and it could damage the luggage’s wheels. So this hotel is not far away from the town’s entrance. Remeber! Try to contact with the hotel before you go there. Tell them that you want the room which can see the view. My room is Room 4, and the room can see the towers just open the window.
Cons: The facility is old. And in the night, the temperature is low. The air conditioning will open in the same time.
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: Too noisy from the street and no one in the check in counter even it was 4pm

4,0 Okay
Pros: .Location was great, and breakfast was good.
Cons: We looked at the photos and thought we'd get a room that looked like one of them. Our room was very small, and might have been ok for one person, but not so good for 2 people and 2 suitcases. Only power point was in the bathroom and lots of mould in the bathroom
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It’s near the bus stop, so the location is good.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: From the photos, some of the rooms look large and comfortable. But mine was tiny - a bed, and two wooden chairs pushed up against the wardrobe as there was no other space for them. No jug or coffee making facilities.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I love the coffee machine they had at breakfast! Location was great, and having them hold our bags on day of checkout was very convenient.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit bland. But my experience is that central Europe doesn't know how to make a good breakfast anyways so I didn't expect much. Also it would be cool if there were a bar inside. It is impossible to get a drink in that town after 8pm it seems.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Big room, outstanding views. Breakfast good. Wi fi strong
Cons: We weren’t in room much but tv didn’t work and we couldn’t get staff when we discovered this ( we were the only people there as it was winter)
Penzion Vysehrad - Český Krumlov - Bedroom

Pros: It had heat.
Cons: Everything. Thought its close to the center its a huge hill to climb to go there. We saw a heroin addict there, first time we climbed. Now about the pension. I don't know who rated with 3 stars, the place is undescribable. The stuff was drunk and didn't spoke English at all, they were asking me cash, that i didn't had, even though they say they accept credit cards. They were obviously not waiting for us and after my worst check in experience, they gave us a dirty and smelly old room that hadn't been cleaned after the last time someone stayed there (You can see in the photos 1 out of the 4 towels had been used when we arrived -it's on the bathroom). There is a wrecked fridge when you go in. An old TV there, isn't working. The amount of dust is amazing. A lot of spiders were in the room and i got itchy when i woke up the next day. We asked them if we can pay for the night and leave and they told us that we have to pay all the stay, if we leave. So we stayed there because of the weather. I have more photos, but i can only upload 1 in every room. I will communicate with booking for that stay.
5,8 Okay
Pros: It is good for the money I guess, but I'd suggest to pay more and get a better place if you can.
Cons: The entire place was smelly, the sheets and towels looked clean, but we used ours, in case. Bathroom is tiny, while I was trying to get shower I noticed giant spiders hanging around in the corner.
7,0 Good
Pros: Lots of parking space on site. Room basic but location is very good, it is close to town centre but requires walking uphill steps back to the property. Shower was good, plenty of hot water.
Cons: Room lighting a little dark.
6,3 Good
Pros: As the location is up a hill you can see beautiful views of the city around the area. It is also just down the hill from the spicak bus station which was very ideal. My room was perfect- very comfortable and spacious. I payed hostel price for and amazing double bed with indulgent pillows and a thick duvet all to myself . There was an ensuite bathroom with a towel radiator and also a TV, kettle and tablewear. The bedroom itself was amazing value. Also there's a very friendly hostel cat :)
Cons: The check in experience was terrible. The staff tried to get me to pay twice for my room even after showing proof of payment on PayPal and booking confirmation. It was a big problem that she couldn't speak any English and was using this to her advantage. She was trying to con a tourist by saying 'no pay' then very suddenly she recieved a text that apparently said I had payed online. All a fix. Took a while to sort out which wasted everyone's time. The hostel is very outdated and creepy. It feels haunted at times. Due to the overall atmosphere I wouldn't stay here again, I felt unsafe in and around the hostel.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was quite big and well equiped.
Cons: The bed was not so comfortable.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The best thing about Penzion Vysehrad is the restaurant next door, which was open until 10 pm but catered to us until 11 pm. Wonderful staff, good beer and food. Nice to sit outside and have something to eat or drink before you head out or come back from exploring Cesky Krumlov.
Cons: Check in was Difficult * Woman checking us in only spoke Czech (No English or German) and wanted us to pay again for our paid booking. After 10 minutes of repeatedly showing her our paid booking receipts/confirmations and our absolute refusals to her constant requests for a credit card to swipe, she made a phone call, entered some numbers into her credit card terminal, gave us a receipt (without apology), keys and showed us our room. Entrance/Hallway to our room from the check in lobby was like walking thru an underground bunker (dark, dingy and a bit scary). Our room was old, dingy and dark as well. The bathroom may of been clean/sanitary due to the strong odor of bleach in it. Penzion Vysehrad is a lengthy hilly walk to Cesky Krumlov (reason for our stay) and we felt it was definitely not worth the price (46.80 euro per night for a double room in September).

Pros: Great location on the edge of the old town centre, right by one of the bridges. Beautiful. The couple who ran it were super friendly and helpful. Great bathroom and shower, fridge and kettle v useful. Furnishings and decorations simple but clean and comfy.
Cons: It was a bit tricky to find and it would have been good to have clearer instructions for check in (after 6pm so had to go in to shop on corner). The room was described as deluxe but needed more luxury touches to fit this description.

Pros: This penzion had wonderful touches for a budget hotel. Screens on the windows, and plenty of them for a wonderful ventilation and keeping bugs out. Also a large fan, which was very much appreciated in August. The bathroom was large and wonderful, and the shower the same. I loved to the small garden, and enjoyed talking to the other guests who enjoyed the garden at the same time. There was a place outside to sit and enjoy the evening or have a glass of wine. There was a place for children to play. The property was fenced and I appreciated this with my small dog. Martin, the owner, it was wonderful.

Pros: lovely family run hotel. well appointed rooms and bathroom. With tea and coffee available downstairs made this ideal. The location might not suit everyone as it is uphill from the town, but otherwise, with free parking on site and only a 15 minute stroll into the centre of town, iit was good for us

There is no passenger lift, but instead they have a luggage crane so you do not have to bring bags to the floors yourself.
