Lovely historical Inn with great rooms, location, service, Lovely food in the restaurant and fine ales in the bar, loved it.
brilliantly friendly staff without being unctious. There was a very helpful card in the room with directions to the main points of interest and best views of the countryside.
A very small point. The shower cubicle in room two did n't have anywhere to park the soap.
The welcome, helpfulness and efficiency of the staff. The food was excellent, in fact it was all as advertised.
The no parking on site could be a problem
Really good food, lovely staff and excellent facilities. Superb value for money

This was our second visit to the Sun Inn when travelling South from Scotland. It is ideal when seeking a really comfortable stopping place away from the M6. As before, we enjoyed a warm welcome, a comfortable room, excellent food in the small but charming restaurant and friendly and efficient service. We'll be back.
The only real snag is the lack of any parking at or close to the premises but there is a public car park a few minutes walk away.

Thought the accomodation ,which was in a pretty picturesque village ,was lovely and comfortable, very quiet during the night and had nice complimentary toiletries from the Bath House. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had evening meals and breakfast in the restaurant and enjoyed everything we had. Hotel allowed our dog to stay.
No car parking with the hotel, although we did manage to park on the street just round the corner from the hotel.
Modern and comfortable room.
Car parking arrangements could be improved. More information on arrival, better still for the hotel to have some reserved parking.
Attractive refurbishment and sensitive combination of traditional and contemporary.
Everything was ready on arrival, lovely new room, staff extremely accommodating and good food.
In the heart of the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale overlooking St Mary’s Church, this 17th century inn fuses both traditional and contemporary elements. The traditional bar has a log fire and serves award-winning, local cask and keg beers. The restaurant serves contemporary English and European dishes prepared with local produce. Meals can be served in the restaurant or bar. Set amid beautiful landscape, you can walk within minutes to Devil's Bridge, Ruskin's View (famously painted by Turner), as well as the stunning walking region of the Lune Valley. This is a 5-star AA rated guest house property with two rosette awards for the restaurant. All rooms have LCD TVs, free Wi-Fi and traditional Cumbrian biscuits. The en suite bathrooms feature Bath House toiletries.
