Cons: The filth and beat up furniture...scummy place!

Cons: The furniture was scuffed and worn which made a poor first impression.

Cons: grossly overpriced motel.

Cons: Paid LOTS of money for a room with a king size bed. This place is NOISY. The sound of people flushing their toilets or running their showers is incredible. The banged up used furniture in our room needs replacing. Knobs were missing from the end tables and chest. The upholstery on the two chairs were pathetic. We parked on the street because this hotel does not have enough parking spaces to accommodate guests. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

Cons: Very noisy! Don’t underestimate the other reviews. They’ve got an old steam-based heating system that has a ton of air in it. As a result, you will get woken up all throughout the night to loud banging noise, like someone is taking a hammer to a steal pipe. The sound is coming out of the heater in the room. Do not choose this hotel if you want a good nights sleep. Also very dated rooms. The quality of the room is about what you’d expect from a Travelodge, it does not in any way live up to the $400+ price tag.

Cons: Their premier ocean view rooms looked like a holiday In or 3 star hotel at the best. Very poor design and ambiance. Bad holiday in furniture , plastic trees and plants. I expected more for $500 per night, at least rooms that looked better. Also, rooms have no balconeys and hotel does not have a jacuzzi. It is possible that the hotel is offering value for the budget traveller (hard to imagine at over $500 per night). I did notice that better hotels where 30% more expensive when I was in Carmel. I would have preferred to pay about 30% more for better accomadations.

Cons: Very noisy, walls are very thin. Street noise is very loud. Did not sleep well during my stay.

Cons: Breakfast- said continental breakfast but it was more like a morning snack. Don't say breakfast included if it is not breakfast. Bathroom sink is just that a sink, no counter space for toiletries. Made it difficult to brush teeth, put on make-up, etc.

Cons: The structure is outdated and the bathrooms feel very outdated, but you'll never really notice or care due to the 5 star cleanliness, service, location and value. Breakfast could be better, but right next to plenty of great places to eat that you can walk to.

Cons: Walls paper thin, breakfast itself was nothing really, noise in the streets, bed quite small for a queen sized, curtains didn't close entirely, bathroom super small! Way too expensive for what you get. Pool was drained and looked horrible.

Cons: The heat was hard to control. The plumbing throughout the property is very noticeable particularly at the popular 6:30 awakening hour. The walls are not very well insulated; conversations within the building and outside on the street below can not be muted.

Cons: Room could have had a little more space in it and a refrigerator and/or fireplace (like some of the others have) would have been nice but no complaints.

Cons: The power was out and we had to take cold showers. With comfort inn being such a big chain, there should have been a back up generator for situations like this. We live in the 21st century where technology and science are at its peak. The host or person who worked in the front (Gita) was not apologetic, nor were we informed about the situation. Such an expensive stay with mediocre service and hospitality. When we told her that we took cold showers, she was like ohh well I didn’t because I woke up early...like wow....

Cons: In room thermostat went from 60 to 80- it would not hold temp near 70 degrees. Restaurant has only bar food.

Cons: Heater was on full blast on arrival, thermostat issues, TV needed to warm up before working properly, very poor customer service, & there was suspicious "stain" on comforter. They did end up giving us a 20% discount off room rate for the thermostat inconvenience at time of checkout.

Cons: It's right off of a major road, which is convenient but not as quaint and quiet as the rest of Carmel. Still a great value!

Cons: Don't get the breakfast buffet, the food served was the only downside of an otherwise great stay.
