Polite helpful staff. Central location. Tasty breakfast.
Breakfast could include a buffet with a toaster and choice of sausage, egg & bacon etc included in the price.
I booked my parents' stay at Cathedral Gate and they were very happy to tell me that the experience was a wonderful one. The spoke enthusiastically about the exceptional service and the overall loveliness and helpfulness of the staff. They also really rated the breakfast and the comfort offered. Altogether, they found it to be an ideally-located, charming place to stay (they really appreciated its antique character!) and if and when I go to Canterbury I'll definitely be heading here!
It was perfect!
Great location, building had a lot of character. Friendly, attentive staff especially at breakfast.
Beds were a little too firm!
Lovely welcome. Very quirky. Ideal location in city centre. Rooms & facilities very clean. Breakfast (continental) was freshly prepared and very good quality. Excellent coffee too. Wouldn't hesitate to stop here again. Well done!
Couldn't really think of anything negative to say. It's a really old building with lots of stairs so probably not suitable for those with mobility problems but apart from that it's a lovely quaint place in an exceptional location.
Quirky room layout as you might expect in a historic building. Comfortable. I liked the idea of the bar within the hotel over looking the centre of Canterbury, but could not make use of it myself. Friendly helpful staff.
With a stay at Cathedral Gate Hotel in Canterbury, you'll be just steps from Canterbury Cathedral and 12 minutes by foot from St. Martin's Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
