Incredble atmosphere - especially the 700 year old fireplace, where I spent the night reading!
Excellent location as we were travelling early to the Channel Tunnel, good food both dinner and breakfast and staff very welcoming
Great old pub dog friendly
Very friendly staff. The food was the best food we had had in the UK in our 7 day stay!!!!!
Breakfast starts at 8 am which is a bit late for those of us who need to hit the tunnel.
Incredibly cosy, historic place. The building, inside and out is full of character and a true piece of living history. The restaurant with it's roaring fire was a wonderful place to enjoy the delectable dinner (at really reasonable prices). Friendly staff and owner (and resident cats and dog Molly). My room with exposed timbers, bathtub and lots of space to relax was especially enjoyable. And it was nice and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Nothing. It was all perfect.
