Ibis Cancun is centrally located and easily accessible to super market, Hotel Zone, Buses, Shuttle and with the economical tariff. The Hotel has a restaurant and the Travel Desk. The staff are courtous. Enjoyed the three day stay.

Good price, nice and clean (note, they clean more thoroughly when you're present). Convenient location with shops downstairs and a nice big mall just across the road. Good WiFi connection. The breakfast was not bad, with some variety each day. There is a mini-fridge provided - if you book a "room with a view" (which costs a bit extra, of course). There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and a communal ironing facility on each floor. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The TV only had one English-language channel, CNN (which I've renamed CCN, for the Climate Crisis Network). There is no kettle provided, so bring your own. No facial tissues, coffee, tea or water (except for one small bottle on arrival) is provided (but you can buy them downstairs and you'd pay more for your room at other places that do provide these goodies). The min-fridge (only available in the "rooms with a view") is really just a Peltier cooler, so pretty ineffective (the hotel saved about 100 USD by not buying a real fridge, but they pay for it in the long run with higher electricity costs).
