Our room had a really fantastic view of the ocean and pool, but I don't think all rooms do. Regardless, on the other side of the hotel was a view of the lagoon and sunset which I'm sure would also have been really nice. The rooms were so clean and modern looking - the bathrooms too! Definitely exceeded my expectation in that regard. I was expecting the restaurant in the hotel to be super overpriced and not great food, but it was DELICIOUS. I had so many tasty meals and this place is less expensive than other restaurants outside of the hotel! A really great place to get meals/drinks by the pool.
I really really really did not like the fact that we did not have WiFi in the room - it's only available in the common areas. However, even in the common areas like the pool, it was pretty spotty and not that great. This place is also pretty far from any of the clubs/bars/nightlife since it is on the south end, but a 15 min taxi that costs about 5$ will get you there. My only other complaint is that the restaurant in the hotel automatically charges you a certain amount of tip, even if you just get a small order (and I wasn't even in a big group either - it was just my friend and I ). Overall though, I really liked it.
I stayed here for a second time after two years. The property is right on the beach, with alot of rooms looking over the ocean. It’s affordable, considering the location and has a small store right in the yard and another one across the road. Since the hotel is at the edge of the hotel zone, it’s more quiet. It has no malls, clubs etc right next to it, but the beach is also very quiet in comparison to the hotels that are in the middle of the hotel zone. The hotel has a restaurant right on tbe beach, with a wonderful wiev. The service is polite, but the food is expensive and honestly isnt too good. The a/c works well, which in my opinion is a huge plus and can’t be said about all hotels in mexico. One of the guys working at the reception was extremely nice and randomly suprised us with an upgrade to the master suite for all of our stay (so the pictures are of their master suite).
Even tho i stayed here for a second time, the hotel could do with some renovations and needs more careful cleaning. It does not feel clean enough and some of the furniture is broken. The water pressure os very low and often there is no warm water. And last, be very very careful with your personal items and put everything you can in the safe. We walked in on housecleaning going through my makeup bag, that she had taken from my zipped up luggage (!!). If you are considering booking the master suite, be advised that it has a super narrow staircase taking you up into the room. Manually carrying your luggage up there is pretty exhaustive and older people might need help with it). Since the hotel zone in cancun is expensive, i would reccommend this hotel to anyone that is mindful of their budget, but keep in mind that this hotel’s main plus is the location.
Large room in a hotel with pool, beach access and beach side restaurant. Compared to others good value for money. Pools and beach area is quiet, safe and nice - here you will most likely spend the most time anyhow. Please note that in the same building you have several other hotels, which basically sell the same rooms, but different prices - depending on the location of the room (that is check the prices, to find the nicest/best for you).
The hotel is a bit off from the Cancun hotel area center, where you have the shopping mall and restaurants. Though this is also reflected in the price. Hotel itself would need a lick of paint here or there, which you can see in the rooms bathroom. WIFI in rooms is not strong, works only partly - for stronger you need to use common areas. In case of laptop, no chance to use cloud services, the connection is simply just not strong enough.
Friendly staff, good food, prompt attention to housekeeping needs. Proximity to other restaurants, convenience stores and transportation. It's a short drive to a mall with a wonderful aquarium, shopping and a really delicious Thai and Indian fusion restaurant.
Sewer gas smell in our room was overwhelming at times. Air freshener in the office reception was immediately nauseating and I couldn't breathe. It is a huge reason I avoided contact with the management. I seriously will consider not going back for this simple reason.
The room was amazing with view of the beach and pool below. Hotel staff was lovely. Not so much didn't like but the hotel is a tad dated, could do with a renovation but facilities were clean and functional.
The restaurant doesn't give you a bill when you have a drink or food. They just tell you the total verbally and add whatever service charge they want even if for one drink. Decided to pay via card the 2nd time around with the hope of getting a bill but the same, when challenged, the bartender got out a calculator punching in numbers that did not match up with the menu prices. As it didn't cost us much, we let it slide but I'd watch out for that if on a budget.
