They didn’t have a gasoline car which I reserved. I was stuck with a low mileage EV which was an inconvenience. Not an upgrade as I was never informed of. It took time to charge and I was subsequently late in the return. The “manager” at the Trenton Mercer Airport location was rude and not at all understanding about this. The vehicle we rented did not have operational windshield wipers and we did not find out until we were in a downpour on our trip. This was very inconvenient and disheartening and took time away from our travels. We also lost all of the air conditioning in our vehicle. We had to drive with open windows and we were very uncomfortable. We tried to exchange the rental and were told there were no other vehicles available. This forced us to change some of our plans and minimize our trip. The temperature guage in the truck was also fluctuating and we were afraid we would break down along our ride. The pickup and drop-off were seamless and both were helpful.Reviewed Aug 22 2022

Pros:On pickup the service clerk spent 20 minutes talking to another customer in Russian helping them buy a car dealer and talking shop while I waited in line. He assumed I wouldn't know what's going on, little did he know I speak perfect Russian. With all that going on the computer showed the vehicle with a full tank, when I was at empty. We had to work it all out upon return on the vehicle in a different state. I did forget my EZ pass in the car and once I realized what happened I contacted Budget to request tag to be returned. Both the drop off site and customer service claim they don't have the tag, yet I see Florida toll charges on it. Obviously forgetting the tag in the car is my fault, but how anyone claim the car is disinfected and cleaned if the tag attached to the window is missed?????Reviewed Sept 20 2020
