The location/ it is central and you have easy access to restaurants, sightseeing attractions, etc
We had a probelm with hot water andheating in the room: there were none for one entire evening. When we informed the management, they have been extremely rude; They did not apologize annor prvide indication on when the service might be restored. They have been so unfriendly to the point of telling us at 8 PM and with me being 8 months pregnant that if we wre not happy we could move out of the hotel and look for another place (please note it was during ta very busy weekend).
the restaurant was poor value for money.
A small, but cosy and comfortable hotel, very nice staff and aperfect location
Location on canal, location within Bruges, dinner at duc de Bourgogne, ambiance, architecture, helpful and attentive staff.
Loved the location. Convenient to everything, it seemed.
Beds.....hard and the sheets were rough.
Friendliness of staff, lovely dining room with canal view and breakfast included, nice rooms with clean white marble baths, great location on a lovely little courtyard with cafes and artists.
Unfortunately, there is no elevator so if you are on the second floor there is a lot of luggage lugging! There is usually someone there to help.
Position in Brugge, informal atmosphere, furniture and style of the hotel.
Along with most hotels in Brugge, it was not easy to find after dark.
This hotel is in a fantastic location: canal on one side, delightful square on the other. On that square one finds excellent restaurants and Bruges' best chocolatier. Very central.
This property is at the very most a two-star hotel. Very inadequate rooms, facilities, up-keep for the classification it currently holds. Although breakfast is included, it is the view from the table and not what is on it that makes breakfast palatable. The hotel houses a very expensive restaurant, with an exotic and at times bizarre menu. Alas, that is not enough to recommend this property. Only if one seeks the experience of what a small down-market hotel felt like in 1970, however, would I recommend le Duc. Otherwise, there are plenty of better hotel selections in Bruges,
excellent food and service. all staff were very friendly and professional
