The noise at night was overwhelming disturbing.
Nice location. Very quiet, laid back hotel.
TV was too high on the wall , uncomfortable to watch.
The location was amazing, right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, near restaurants, bars, subways, and shopping. The staff was very helpful. There was a minor problem one night and the front desk not only rectified it but did so with a smile. I would certainly book here again!
The best part of the breakfast was the continuous supply of water ,coffee and hot tea for your consumption any time of day!
I think the hotel is over-priced for what you are getting. But its Brooklyn so I understand prices can be extra high.
The NU Hotel is a unique and beautiful hotel to stay at in Brooklyn. This boutique hotel draws its inspiration from Brooklyn’s energy and channels the distinct personality of the borough. With a minimalist design and modern aesthetic, it showcases the rich heritage of the borough through artwork from local NU perspective artists.
Each of the hotel’s 93 suites and rooms are loft inspired, with a subtly sophisticated yet casual look. They feature cozy chairs, comfortable beds, and hardwood floors. Each room has one chalkboard wall inside the bathroom which allows guests to create their own masterpiece or simply scribble away. There are many different styles of rooms, some with bunk beds and hammocks.
The NU Bar & Lounge, found in the hotel’s lobby, is the place to have a cocktail and sample some of the tasty local fare. Menu items include Stinky Bklny’s Pimento Cheese Spread, which comes with potato chips or pretzels or the famous Brooklyn Brine pickles, which go well with one of the local beers.
This pet-friendly hotel offers amenities including free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, a fitness center, a business center and multilingual staff. Attractions close by include the New York Transit Museum and the Fulton Street Mall, both less than a mile away.
