Pros: Booked last minute and the staff were excellent, very accommodating. Lady at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, and even gave us a free room upgrade since the computer system was having a bit of trouble. The room was very clean and well isolated, couldn't hear any noise at all. The toiletries were excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choices. Overall, nothing to fault.

Pros: Location is great, sauna was very cool place to chill out after nice thai oil massage which is available directly in the hotel too. Very comfy and large beds. Eventhough our view was into busy street with trams, it was silent in the room. Reception (the guy today morning, sorry I do not remember his name) was very kind, helpful and professional. Hotel is nicely designed.

Pros: The Barcelo Brno Palace is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Brno. I arrived during a down pour & a young women immediately walked up to me to ask if she could be of assistance. The glass of champagne was very appreciated! The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood. Perched on a hill, there is a small park behind the hotel with wonderful views of the city. Additionally, everything the city offers is within walking distance. My room was very large with modern furnishings & a spa tub for soaking. The breakfast was excellent. I had a very good meal in the bar one night. The bar is just off the hotel's lovely atrium. There was a cocktail party going on that night. A young woman was playing a harp while I was enjoying my meal & her highly entertaining performance. Brno was the 4th city where I stayed in the Czech Republic. Do not miss visiting this city. I hope to return & stay at the Barcelo again.

Cons: only thing we did not like was the forced wake-up by repeated entering of house keeping early morning. But reception took an immediate action and also offered us breakfast in the room as apology, which made our morning nice again.

I have nothing but praise for Katerina in Reservations who always answers my questions and goes the extra mile for me and my wife. She is a huge asset to the hotel. Great to meet her too! The location is great for Brno city centre and all the delights to be found. Stopkova Plzenska Pivnice across the street is worth a visit and dare I say it The Grandezza Hotel restaurant!!

Cons: The bed was a bit too soft. My wife and I both had a few aches and pains after four nights.My back is a bit sensitive at the moment as I am having chiropractic treatment, but my wife is usually fine. Maybe we just got a bad mattress?

Cons: Nice hotel with good variety of breakfast. The rooms are on the smaller side and the bathrooms are very tiny. The customer service is mediocre for a hotel that claims to be a 5 star hotel. I would rate it as a 4 star just for a lack of customer service. The servers in the restaurant might as well have throw our food at us with the manner in which they placed down our food ilì⁸⁹ down.

Cons: The neighborhood of the hotel is rather depressing, and many of the people living or walking nearby were rather strange. It turned out that this neighborhood of Brno was traditionally a slum. We saw that the local government makes efforts to reconstruct and revitalize this neighborhood, but so far, naturally, the results are only partial.

Cons: Our bathroom sink was slightly plugged so it filled up and took a while to drain. When I filled up the bathtub, it would slowly drain because it wouldn't plug properly.

Front desk personnel was polite, but unable to solve problems.
Cons: Temperature in the room was at 30 C / 86F. AC does not work and personnel is not capable to handle the issue.
It made it for a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay.
Bathrooms were quite filthy - mold, hair, green residue over bathtub area. Soap dispensers were 'crusty' on the top, it basically looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.
We will not consider staying again and I do not recommend this hotel.

Cons: We did’t like : - They mentioned it’s in city center, It is not ! (Barcelo hotel in city center, grand hotel is in city center , continental hotel in city center). - Room not very 4 star hotel, old town hotel ‘s rooms are a real 4 stars. - they didn’t even let a welcome bottle of water gift in the room. - Mini bar fridge was empty and smelly. - we ordered an iron, to iron our clothes, we used it it ruined a 5000 CZK shirt. (My wife had a conference next day she needed that shirt and it was ruined by very cheap iron !) compensation was one free drink at the bar voucher !?. - TV was old and not fit for a 4 star hotel, it emitted a weird sound (like a bad beeping ) the minute we got in the room, we called reception and they took 10 mn to fix it.
