Pros:
Perfect for a short stay or if you're on a budget. Clean. Great price. 20 min walking distance from Dolni Vitkovice if you're there for a festival or want to visit the old industrial complex. The tram line gets you to city centre in 10 minutes.
Cons:
The shower itself could be cleaner (definitely bring flip-flops). The neighbourhood is desolate and doesn't seem too welcoming.

Pros:
Though the person at the reception doesn't speak English, she was pretty helpful. We communicated via Google Translation. I had a one room which seems to be for several people. There is a mini-kitchen. Around the property, although it was difficult to find a place to dine, there are some bars where I could have beers and other drinks.
Cons:
The location is far from the city center and from the railway stations. But it is accessible by several tram lines. There are not many places to eat something, especially at night (like after 9pm). While it is said that there is a laundry facility, this means only washing machine and no dryer. (Maybe this is quite normal in this country.)

Pros:
It was clesn and quiet. Not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, but comfortable. Not central either, but an interesting old indistrial neighbourhood.

Pros:
Staff were great. Didn't speak English but somehow we managed. Nice size room. Peaceful within Hotel.
Cons:
Noisy shop outside my room playing music until 10pm and then from just after 8am. Not the Hotels fault though of course.

Pros:
Very private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchenette. I paid for a hostel room but was given a double room. Everything was OK, clean and secure.
Cons:
The "hostel" is pretty far from the center of Ostrava in the industrial area. The staff that I interacted with spoke no English, thank goodness for translate.
