Pros: Amazing restored house with beautiful rooms, and a 5 star breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and very clean. Although it was full, the Hotel is really quiet (no noise). Apart from the check-in process, it was a pleasant stay.
Cons: The check-in process: we had planned to take the afternoon off and drive from Frankfurt to check-in around 18:00 -19:00. We signaled this check-in time in Booking at the time of the reservation. However I ended-up having to work that day so we only arrived to the hotel much later (23:00). Around 19:00 the hotel called me asking where I was and posed me some problems for arriving so much later than the hour I had written on Booking. The person asked me to call that mobile phone he was calling from so he would open up the door. We called the number at 23:00, no one picked up the phone, we texted and we insisted calling. Due to no answer, we rang the Hotel door bell. A man answered in the intercom and refused to open the door, did not acknowledge our reservation and did not check us in. Actually the person has cut the conversation in the middle and stop talking several times. We had to ring at least 3 times with the same result (the man cut the conversation abruptly). When I asked whether he could speak in English because my German wasn't very good, he also stopped the conversation and hang-up the intercom. Eventually a person arrived on a bike (around 23:30) and opened up the door. He was really nice at the time. However this entire process was completely unnecessary and even rude to the clients. Customer service was NOT the priority, especially after a 7+h drive in the middle of the night. For any but especially 4* hotel, this is unacceptable. Apart from this unfortunate episode, the staff was nice in the remaining interaction.
Pros: Beautiful, large room with a view to a quiet street and train station. Perfect location near the city, grocery store, the Molly Train and rodelbahn. Professional and very nice staff. This hotel was one of five hotels during our week long sycling tour in North Germany, and had the best breakfast of all! Highly reccomended!
Pros: an outstanding hotel and great value for money
Cons: I know German hotels don`t normally do this but tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been the icing on the cake
Pros: Excellent location for the Molli Railway and only a short walk into the town.
Pros: Nice clean hotel if a bit old fashioned. Good size rooms with a good breakfast.
Cons: Furniture a little dated.
Pros: Next to the station Breakfast room very nice
Cons: Lack of hot water and virtually no heat from the radiators in winter is completely unacceptable. The bedroom was cold and damp and very unpleasant to stay in. We tried adjusting the system, but the owners controlled the heat.
Pros: Large room with smart and classic decor and spotlessly clean . Large and modern bathroom . Extremely convenient location with this historic railway across the street . Terrific breakfast and lovely breakfast room

Pros: Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Comfortable room.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant was closed both nights we stayed and so we had to eat in town with very limited choice and nothing within walking distance.
Pros: Very comfortable hotel, located near the center in walking distance, but still a very calm area.
Pros: Nice room, frendly personal,
Pros: Very nice, big, clean and comfortable room. It consisted of bedroom and living room and each one had his own balcony. Wow! Very friendly staff and very good breakfast. Free parking and free wifi perfectly working. Very good location at 10 minutes walk from Bad Doberan but in a very quiet area.

Pros: The charming hotel in the little town. Breakfast very good!
Pros: Quiet and comfortable room with excellent breakfasts and friendly staff. Wonderful to have a station on the fabulous Mollibahn (narrow gauge steam railway) right outside the hotel!
Pros: I liked everything, I wanted a room next to the railway line, it was wonderful for me as a steam train enthusiast
Cons: there was nothing I didn`t like
Pros: Very nice place to stay. Perfect location, great rooms and friendly staff.
Pros: Service 100%.
Pros: nice bathroom with a window and little extras like sewing kit and body lotion but only 1 big towel and a little one (+ the one for the floor). Little bedroom but comfortable.
Cons: only 1 big towel and a little one (+ the one for the floor), I would have needed one more for the hair. I would have liked a water boiler for an herbtea.
Pros: it smelled good when I entered the room! This is what I remember positively because often in hotels it either smells a bit like there is a while no fresh air entered the room or there is the smell of chemical cleaning products. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a buffet served quite early with varied choice of good quality products. The quality/price ratio for the breakfast is excellent. The internet connection is quite good. The hotel is very well situated close to the train station and city center. Staff is friendly.
Cons: There is no possibility to prepare or get a hot beverage in the hotel, so when I arrive quite late in the day, I know that I won't be able to make me a tea or coffee and the bakeries around are already closed, so also not possible to get a tea/coffee to go. Also, the reception is not open very late so I always have to ask before whether I will be able to check in but until now they have always accepted my late arrival.
Pros: Quiet, spotless, perfect location and very friendly staff. The breakfast was extensive and varied.
Cons: It was unexpected to pay for the water in the rooms which are usually complementary in Europe

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: The hotel was closed and forgot to tell us!!!
Cons: Extra charge for car parking and kurbonus was clearly described
Pros: Excellent location and gem of a hotel. Good food. Friendly staff
Pros: perfect view of the molly
Pros: The bed was the least good about the hotel, somewhat hard for my taste. Our room was a corner with two windows on two sides so was light and airy. It had high ceilings so in the hot weather worked well. The bathroom was clean and the shower modern. The negatives related to the entrance. The door from the street to the lobby had paint peeling off and the steps leading up to it were shabby. It gave the impression of a run-down hotel, but inside it is not. There was no one to help us with our luggage. The big plus is the dining room where breakfast is held. It is a beautiful room and helps to start the day in good spirits.
Cons: The entrance to the hotel. I do not understand why the door has not been repaired and repainted. It spoils first impressions. Also it is locked at night, so you have to take your key with you, which is one of the old-style heavy keys.
Pros: Restaurang very good, but the service was very very slow. Must train the staff more.

Featured amenities include laundry facilities and refrigerator in a common area. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Janette was very helpful. Provided us with hot water when asked. Gave us information about sites to see in the town. Provided clothes line for our washing. Made a lovely breakfast in the morning. Allowed me to make a local phone call to future accommodate. Couldn't have helped more.
Cons: No soap/shampoo in the room. Lousy breakfast. Not compliant to description.
Pros: Kind and friendly owner, quiet and comfortable accomodation definitely worth of its price;)
Pros: Was greeted by the owners. Very friendly. I chose the Gästehaus due to its closeness to the station as I wanted to go on the Molli Bahn steam railway. Breakfast was great, everything you'd expect. Comfy Bed, two chairs and TV. The owner was very apologetic due to having a water leak upstairs so the toilet system was all open. But everything was usable so no problem. The train station is 1km at the end of the road and the main town is a short walk into Bad Doberan (1.5km). I was really glad I chose this Gästehaus.
Cons: Everything was great.
Pros: The property was under renovation, but this did not affect us, since the rooms we stayed in were already finished. The style of the newly renovated rooms is rather kitchy with shining speckles in the paint work. Not something I would choose at home, but kind of fun. The host was really nice, and made room for our bicycles in the garage. Breakfast was good. The location was quiet (we had rooms facing the back yard).
Cons: JaNettes is located a little outside the centre of Bad Doberan, which was no problem for us, since we had bicycles. Restaurants are about 1.5 kilometers away, so be prepared to walk.

The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: They are really bad in English!
Pros: Although Wi-Fi was claimed to be in the lobby only, it worked OK in my room.
Cons: Breakfast at 08:00 daily slightly late for Germany and on busy mornings, every guest arrives at that time. Was the solid block of yellow meant to be scrambled egg? Although an historic building, the outside is painted completely white, obscuring some of the historic detail of the timber frame etc. This is an expensive region of Germany, but price did not represent good value compared to my stays elsewhere in the country.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Despite no one really speaking English they made it work. I couldn't stay for breakfast but was offered a hamper. Delightful, oldfashioned setting.
Cons: Breakfast is served from 8 am, much too late. There is no bar, no facilities to make coffee or tea on the room which I would have appreciated. Unfortunately I can't recommend eating in. The dining room and staff were lovely, food was not on par.
Pros: We have stayed at this hotel previously and would recommend it.At breakfast the dishes were very slow to be replenished but the choice was good. Coffee excellent.
Pros: Beautiful old historic building with potential. Beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was really good.
Cons: The room we stayed in needed some modernizing. It seems that parts of the hotel are being restored and we stayed in an older room.
With a stay at Hostel & Bistro Haus der Horizonte in Bad Doberan (Rostock District), you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Stadt- Und Baedermuseum Bad Doberan Moeckelhaus and Doberaner Muenster. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everythings were good for us.
Cons: Long - term guests were a lot loud.
Pros: Very good for our short stay in this region.
Pros: The facilities and room were clean.
Cons: A rooster at a farm nearby woke us up at 4 in the morning.
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a locker in a big refrigerator for each room and also a fully functional kitchen with an oven, hot plates, microwave oven, water heater that was way cleaner than I expected. It has 5 or 6 rooms per floor and one bathroom with two separate shower cabins and toilets. Also the wi-fi was with very good coverage and speed. What I found also great is that the key for the room was waiting for me in a locker and I was not bounded by an arrival hour. Location is 10min walking time from the center and is quiet surrounded by trees.
Cons: It had only one toilet, two pissoirs and one sink (in the men bathroom), which is I think not enough for the people that are supposed to be on the floor. There were no signs about how to separately throw away the garbage in the kitchen.
