Food was excellent But no much of Choices
Excellent Staff so nice and helpful and they try their best to satisfy your needs
To bee waked up 03:00 in the night by water leaking in the shower. romm was to hot, we where living on the attica and if you open the windows a lot of bugs was coming in to the room.
Generally, this is a beautiful and sumptuous looking hotel (it has several pieces of "art" and photographs that are pretty horrible, though). The bar is amazing, cosy, and the bar service and drinks are great. The bar food is of high quality. I stayed in the library suite and it is pretty good looking; also, free transportation was available for me from and to the airport (but I paid nearly 1000 Euro per night so for that money I guess they can do that) and 5 km from the hotel (however, when I discussed whether I could be picked up they were making problems). One male reception person (somewhat older) was especially nice and friendly (the others not). I like the fact there was a good lit up cosmetics mirror, a rarity these days, even in luxury hotels. Food quality at breakfast is pretty good. The pool is large enough for laps. Pleasant residential surroundings.
The list is very long. Except for the bar, overall service was horrible, especially at breakfast. Smiling or saying good morning, forget it. Getting served at all is a feat (service breakfast, no buffet, but that in itself is fine if the service is good). The bed was exceedingly hard and no efforts were made to help me get it softer - even after many requests. I managed to help myself by putting the sofa cushions on the mattress. But then I no longer had cushions on the sofa. One staff member even told me that hard beds are good for you. The air conditioning didn't work (in the suite's living room), and the air conditioning in the bedroom very weak. There is no information leaflet or booklet so I ended up not finding the hidden safe and not knowing the times of restaurants or pool. A receptionist person told me there should be an information leaflet and she did't believe me there wasn't one so she came and checked and verified there wasn't. Later another receptionist person told me they have no information for guests. There was no baggage rack in my 1000 Euro-a-night suite. Only after asking for one 3 times did they finally bring me one. The jacuzzi in the pool area had no water in it (apparently already for a long time). Ladies' changing rooms near the pool: no amenities except shampoo-shower gel in one. No place to sit down to dry your hair. Windows up in my attic suite were rotting. The hotel is very far from any sort of things one might want to do in Berlin.
Outstanding. Breakfast was great.
Jacuzzi was not working. For the sauna and steam-bath you have to look for an employee somewhere to turn it on ( even in normal day time )
Perfect hotel. Thanks!
