Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hard to find something to comment out as the site, rooms, garden, crops, flower, swimming pool were simply extraordinary. Will come again for sure as It Is a nice Place for the Sea and tactic because 5minutes from Ferries
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful gardens and very nice breakfast + the lovely swimming pool, ping-pong table and fitness facilities for the children. The extra-pleasant terras and nice view on the sea. The night-lights in the garden.
Cons: Once you come out of the hotel, you need a car. The street is very steep and there are not many busses to Bastia . Waiting time for taxi's is long , but once you come unto the big street there is a very nice supermarket and pharmacy.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: In the first days of August the temperature of the swimming pool was too warm, a little cold water added would have been nice !
6,7 Good
Pros: The room was clean and bed was large. We booked a garden room, but we still had a nice view of sea from the balcony. Lots of free parking.
Cons: We were disappointed with the hotel and with Bastia. The hotel was dated and had no life, as it didn’t have a bar, cafe or restaurant. It was only somewhere you went to sleep. You needed to drive everywhere (so every evening out to a restaurant) as the steep hill up to the hotel was too dangerous and there was no pavement. The hotel is just in a suburb of Bastia, so still very polluted and congested. I wouldn’t swim in the sea near the hotel as it’s only a short distance from the port. Everyday we had to drive over the mountain to a nice beach in St Florent.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: the View from the rooms splendid, the swimming pool excellent and everything in the hotel Sami from the reception ver helpfull
Cons: Nothing
5,4 Okay
Pros: Ambience of the hotel is good. Breakfast was ok type. swimming pool is good
Cons: Hotel is very far from approachable roads. Only way to reach is by taxi which is very expensive in Corsica. Hotel staff is not cooperative. We booked a big taxi for airport one day in advance for 4 people (70 euro). But at the last moment staff told us that we will have to hire 2 taxi and approximate cost would ne euro 140 Hotel staff also charged form we people euro 100 for carpet cleaning for a small stain.Overall I would suggest to avoid this hotel and many other good options are available in Corsica.
6,3 Good
Cons: Lady of reception was very unwelcoming. Didn’t even say thank you and goodbye when we settled the bill on check out. This place is FULL of mosquitoes. At the pool areas and on the balcony. My husband and others were covered in bites despite spraying with repellent.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Sophie ordered us take away pizza and produced a bottle of chilled rose after our busy road trip, superb.
Cons: Nothing

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location in front of the sea
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Super comfortable beds, great air conditioning, right on the water. The staff was very nice and helpful. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was very good. There were sun beds and umbrellas available at no extra charge, which was nice. The beach area seemed to be mostly local people and was not too crowded. The drive to/from the port was very easy. We would definitely stay at Torremare again!
Cons: We are a family that travels with many electronic devices. More plugs located above the nightstands and in the bathroom would be helpful. Also, the hairdryer did not stay on and was not powerful enough to dry my hair. Despite these couple issues, we really liked Jed Torremare and would gladly return again!

2,9 Mediocre
Pros: A/c. Parking . The person who did the photographs on the website has a great filter.
Cons: Don’t do it. Just don’t go there. Marie Kondo and Gordon Ramsay would need to spend months there to set it straight. It is on a busy street in the middle of nowhere. Wi-Fi is terrible and staff is rude. The sheets don’t stay on the bed and there’s not enough light to even read a book in the room. It’s a far walk to the center and it’s a far walk to the port.

Hotel Central Bastia - Bastia - Building

8,3 Excellent (917 reviews)

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Central Bastia places you in the heart of Bastia, within a 10-minute walk of Bastia Vieux Port Marina and UNA Volta Cultural Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: There is a beautiful artist's studio on the ground floor. There is also a lovely little garden on the 2nd floor. The food in Bastia is beautiful, as is the historical city and harbour.
Cons: Where do I start. There is no lift. There is no water, coffee or tea making facility either in the room or anywhere else in the hotel. You have to pay for a cup of coffee or tea. The toilet is right by the bed so please make sure your partner is prepared to be very close to you- sounds, smells and sights are all right there. To top it off the bathroom door does not close. The bathroom smells badly, and the shower is designed for very, very small people. Lastly, but definitely not least, the room is extremely unclean. We both ended up scratching, and my legs now have an outbreak of bites, which must have come from either fleas, or bed bugs. We are still on our holiday, but spent yesterday washing everything we had at the Hotel Central Bastia in hot water, including ourselves. We came all the way from New Zealand and were really looking forward to our time in Bastia. In the words of Jesus of Nazareth, "shake the dust from your feet".

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Central lives up to its title. Very Central. A lovely mix of modern artwork and Hotel history a central garden for guests and sitting rooms. Staff were very helpful with storage of luggage and answering our questions

7,7 Good
Pros: Staff were extremely courteous and friendly and most helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, tastefully furnished with quality finishes. Cleanliness was superb.

5,3 Okay
Pros: Small, cute, friendly hotel with no lift. Central and only street parking. Nice breakfast.
Cons:
5,7 Okay
Pros: Traditional style town hotel close to Bastia's main square and old port. Comfortable enough room and reasonably well-equipped for a short stay. Helpful staff.
Cons: Noise from traffic - a disadvantage of being in the centre of town. The room might be a bit cramped for a couple for more than a weekend stay.

Cons:
5,6 Okay
Pros: Very close to ferry, easy to find. A touch of the romantic from the small balcony. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful
Cons: No elevator, had to carry bags upstairs. The bed was too small for two adults. The price of 70 Euro/night is too high for this basic hotel and without breakfast. Very small room.

Pros: Location nearby the train station was perfect for our needs. Price for value was good. Bath room and cleanness was also very good.
Cons: The man at the desk during the evening and night was not very friendly. In general he didn't speak at all; no "hallo" no "thank you and good bye"... Instead it seemed that he smoke at the desk or at least in a room behind so that the whole corridor smelled of smoke.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very near the port and easy to find. If you need nearby parking there is the multilevel parking lot near La Gare de Bastia. 12.50eu per 24h. 9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast itself was very good, served precisely at the agreed time. Reception staff helpful ; arranged taxis etc efficiently and cheerfully. Room on same floor as reception. Well located for waterfront and railway and bus stations.
Cons: Breakfast was served in the bedroom as there was no dining room. A bit cramped for two people eating simultaneously.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and in the center, staff were always kind and helpful, the room was a bit small for what we thought but clean.
Cons: There is no parking so you need to look for one and pay.
8,3 Excellent

Cons: The hotel doesn't have a parking
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, very helpful staff, great bathroom and a basic bedroom.

6,3 Good
Pros: Food was amazing. Staff were great
Cons: There is NO POOL OR ROOFTOP and these were the key reasons we booked this property
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff who sorted our an appropriate room for us at our late arrival. Parking was right in front of the hotel. The view from our room was fantastic.
Cons: Breakfast for 13 euros was on the sparse side. Only one hard cheese, no meat or eggs. I expected more.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and bedrooms were spotless. All of the staff were very friendly and most helpful The breakfast had a good selection. The swimming pool was a nice facility.
Cons: The hotel is located about 1.5 miles from Bastia and this is fine if one has a car. There is a bus service every half hour but the last one to Bastia is 19:40.
5,8 Okay
Pros: View was good, room was clean and well decorated, comfy bed.
Cons: Unable to eat in the restaurant as it was booked for a private party or the roof top bar as it was too busy, hotel emailed after booking to say the pool wouldn’t be open (one of the main reasons we booked), we were unable to park in the hotel car park and had to leave the car on the side of the road (not great as it’s a narrow main road), only received an email saying parking may not be available at the hotel the day before arrival (another reason we booked was because the hotel had parking!). Minibar only had one bottle of water in, we could hear guests in the next room talking. After going out for dinner (as we’re told we wouldn’t be able to get a table) went to the roof bar and noted there were a lot of empty tables and people turning up to eat without needing a reservation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The personnel was very nice. There is a roof top and a swimming pool. Very nice and clean room. Shampoo and shower gel was bio :-)
Cons: too far from Bastia ferry
6,7 Good
Pros: The reception staff was friendly. Hotel is convenient for one night stay as it’s close to the port.
Cons: The breakfast wasn’t value for money.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The provided amenities (soap & shower gel gel) were excellent.
Cons: Upon arrival the room was extremely hot. It took almost an hour to cool down the room to an acceptable temperature. The prices of the roof-top bar are skyrocketing.
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel is modern, rooms are freshly renovated. Sea view room is nice with a lot of sunshine. Staff is really helpful, whenever we had a request they gladly helped us. Rooftop bar is really cosy and food is delicious there. In comparison with all the hotels there it is a good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast is expensive and poor, although the sea is in front of the hotel, you cannot swim there directly because there is no beach.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was better than any three star hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Nice little details like coffee machine and shower gel &shampoo in the bathroom.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location from the positive perspective (there is a negative one as weell, see bellow) - there is a beautiful sea-view as promissed on the photographs. Very pleasant roof restaurant/bar - there was even a life music performance - I can't say if it is a rule as we stayed only for one night. The staff was nice and helpful and the room was clean with own cofee maker.
Cons: Location from the negative perspective - the hotel is far away from the town center (45 minutes walking to the Bastia port) directly on the main road and there is not much around (petrol station and maybe one restaurant). Maybe, it would not be such a problem as we had a rented car, however there is another problem called parking place - the number of places is limited and there is not much possibilities near the hotel. We were lucky and catched the last place on the hotel property which we did not want to loose and therefore reather didn't use the car. It was not a big deal for us as we used the hotel really just to sleep over before our departure from the Bastia airport. However from this reason I wouldn't recomend it for a longer stay. The pool and the area around are small and If you book the room with the hill view, well, you get the hill view (hill is aprox. 3 meters from the window which affects the amount of the sunlight in the room). Generally speaking, I believe there are better deals in-/ or near Bastia.

Cons: There was a bad smell in the room, impossible to sleep. We had to open the window for hours and even then....thank God it was just a single night there

Pros: The location was good. Easy to access restaurants and the ferry.
Cons: The front desk clerk was so rude when he discovered we were American and not fluent in French. He grumbled and yelled at us and set the stay off on a sour note.
7,5 Good
Pros: The property is central to the sites, public transport and supermarkets. Room was clean and modern’ish.
Cons: The room is very basic as is the hotel. But was fine for the purpose of me staying the night.

Cons: Lift is really little. Quality of the forniture, they are acceptable, no less no more. The rooms are little. The budget room is really small. The comfort one is better

Pros: The room was cleaned every day. And we had a fantastic view of the sea from our room. The staff were really helpful too. Great location, near to the old port harbour, and sea promenade, and local shops.
Cons: It would of been nice if there was a kettle and tea and coffee available to drink in the room. Was a bit on the basic side, but that wasn't to much of a problem.

Pros: Easy location next to the stop of the bus coming from the airport. Perfect for a 1 night stay when arriving or leaving corsica from bastia poretta airport or by ferry.
Cons: No hair dryer. Expensive for what it is but but I was unable to find anything cheaper (bastia seems to be very expensive).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The early check-in of 13:30!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect ! A 2min walk from the train station from where the bus drops you off/picks you up for the airport, right infront of the sea and bus station, right next to the tourism office, a light stroll to the center (2 minute walk as well)... Couldn't have wished for better!
Cons: The price.

6,7 Good
Pros: the location

5,8 Okay
Pros: Very convenient location. Bed was made every day n very clean room. Big room also.
Cons: Overpriced. I got charged 80 euro but if I'd walked off the street wld have been 70. The staff weren't overly friendly, bed was really uncomfortable. I stayed here cos it was close to the ferry. My credit card wouldn't go through so had to pay cash. If u have trouble climbing stairs, don't stay there
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location, just blocks from the ferry and the train station, makes this the only reason to stay here.
Cons: The shower was broken, which I didn't realize until I was in the shower. The connection that held the shower head was broken, so I had the luxury of holding the shower head. The mattress was old and lumpy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s very well located. We booked that hotel especially for the location: close to the port by walking distance) and all others amenities. The checking is very easy and fast.

Cons: No hot water in our shower. Old dirty. Breakfast had instant coffee.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: Awful place. My room was not very clean and looked like from the 90s. Housekeeping did not do any cleaning, did not change towels or supply toiletries. Complaint at the front desk was ignored just stating the cleaner already left (it was around 12 am). Breakfast (5 € extra) is not worth at all - one croissant, a mini baguette with mini butter and mini jam and mediocre coffee from an automatic machine. Better to go to a supermarket next door (150 m). However, there are no side walks around the property, no highway crossings so forget any walking around (shops, beach..) except for the few meters you have to suffer on a 4 lane highway before you get to the grocery store. If you need to get to the airport the only option is a taxi (45 €), there is no bus stop around and train goes different direction. A car is a MUST. This "hotel" only in case of emergency.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for one night after arriving in Bastia before a trip to Sardinia. Everything was perfect - roadside location within easy reach, comfortable beds, wifi, private parking. It is not a place for a long holiday though (noisy highway). All the rest was perfect
Cons: -
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Big parking space in front of the hotel
Cons: They charge 4€ for the motorcycle parking. Hotel next to a very busy road with NO good places to eat in walking distance. Situated in a industrial area. Not cosy, only good for a 1 night stop over and no other options around.
6,3 Good
Cons: Breakfast, 1 coffee, 1 Croissant, 1 orange juice for 8€ ;-(
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was not ready for 4 person
7,9 Good
Pros: Simple room, good value for money, reasonably clean, parking on the premises
Cons: Wifi was useless- 5 minutes to load a web page. Also the location is horrendous. Along a busy highway in the middle of industrial buildings
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff was very friendly and professional.
Cons: Our bathroom was dirty and the overall structure rather rundown.
6,3 Good
Pros: Hotel Sampiero, is located near the beach. The hotel is an old building and needs immediate renovation. Although it is far from the center you can reach the old town in 15 minutes by car. The staff is friendly. Parking is available on site and is free of charge. WiFi connection is free and catastrophically bad.
